Ext sd wiped after cwm - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

So I have rooted and rommed a few devices, but still a noob. I know its my own fault for not backing up ext sd, but I have never had one wiped after flashing a recovery. This time it did. I tried the link2sd and it said to partition the ext sd, so I did. It still gives an error and says not enough space, even though I have 6.5g free space. What I am wondering is why my 8g ext sd only shows a total of 6.5? What is taking up the remaining 1.5g? And is there any way to get back the pics I had before it got wiped? Any apps for that? NCIS makes it look so easy..lol

Moving to a new SD card..BUT!!!

Am sure this has been answered but couldn't seem to find an answer So if it has provide the link please...
Anyway Am still using the 2gig sd card that my hero came with but wish to use a bigger card..The only issue is I use App2sd card... On WinMo there was never an issue you simply just copied all the data over to the new card a hey presto it worked. But with android it does seem that simply(nothing ever is) when using Apps2sd because of the dam partitions.. So my question is this how do I move EVERY THING over to a new sd card inc the partitions and the data within them???? I doin't wish to have to reinstall 300+ apps noiw that I have the phone after 2months FINALLY working properly..
regards
Lohtse

[Q] Need help with Jellybeans 16 and SDswap

Hi everyone,
I just did a clean instal of Jellybeans 16 and clicked on SDswap on the stock Beans kernel. Everything seemed to go OK.
Under Total Space it says 64GB (the size of my card) with 40.96GB free
Under SD Card it says total space 10.33GB, and available space is only 306MB
Now it's telling me I don't have enough storage space and in my notification bar it says storage space is running out.
I installed some applications but they should have installed to the card, and their data too, right? Why am I encountering this error and how do I get it to work properly?
Thanks!
Thank God someone else is having this problem. I couldn't figure it out myself, looks good under settings and storage but doesn't seem to be doing its job.

Try deleting the Android folder under both SD card and extSDcard and rebooting.

Verizon Galaxy S4 Memory Issues

Attached is the picture from my storage page. Prior to this I deleted a few apps and I thought I had enough space to download GTA Vice City. Halfway through is stopped and had an available space error. What was downloaded was still appearing in memory so I went into recovery and wiped both the cache and delvik cache. I also wiped the play store app and google services framework data and caches so I could try to reset the issue. Since then other apps have been unable to update or download due to "insufficient space", and google music won't play because of it. How can I get this cleared up?
I am running stock android rooted with clockworkmod touch recovery.
Thanks
Try folder mount app in market to free up all that space. I haven't tried it personally but I heard it works for some.
Moves big apps to sdcard and link them as if they were installed on phones memory.

If I were you I would flash back to stock after you first clean out the phone then reinstall everything and use that app.

I found the issue. There was a lot of space tied up in /emulated. I've deleted those files and I can install things again. Unfortunately the storage screen still isn't adding up but it's a start
Okay I don't mean to intrude to this post but I am having the same problem with memory and I was wondering if someone could help me.
Now I still have. Zip files on my phone now once I flash them could I delete them or how's that work. Someone please help.

Ok I have 2 16gb sd cards 1 formated extsd with 4gb free out of 16gb and the 2nd card is fat format with 15.1gb free out of 16gb. I have a vzw gs4, and I use SafeStrap, I waqnted to do a back, so I installed the fat32 with 15gb available and it was trying to make the back up on the internal which didnt have enough memory, So then I put the exfat sd with 4gb available, and I was able to make the backup on that sd, I thought that fat worked on every gs4 and the exfat was the buggy one, Is it just a loki safestrap thing? TIA
Hope I get an answer, Its been a while since anyone has posted in here, Thanx again...

exFAT is a newer format that's Microsoft proprietary. The primary advantage over FAT32 is that it allows files greater than 4 Gb.
So, the likely problem is that your backup was bigger than 2Gb and couldn't be stored on FAT32.
Just a guess since you didn't say exactly what you used for the backup.
And exFAT isn't buggy, it's just less frequently supported.
Hope this helps.

L9 P769 No Space for Any Applications

Hey everyone,
Very recently, my rooted P769 on Jellybean (20f) isn't letting me install any applications because there is no free space. But that isn't true - I have 560 MB free on my internal SD! At first I was down to about 150 MB free, but I couldn't install any applications then, so I deleted some applications and cleared some data so now I have about 560 MB free, but I still can't install one small 5 MB application! I haven't done any app2sd (I only have 2 GB free on my external SD so there would be no point anyways). I also have CWM recovery 6 by artas but I haven't installed anything with it recently. Any help? Maybe there is a way to modify build.prop to allocate more space for application data?
Any help would be really appreciated, because I can't install any application on my phone right now.

Try checking your clockworkmod/backup folder on your internal sd card. if you have one or two in there it will make a difference. Transfer those files to your SD card. Sounds like you need a new sd card as well. Get a 16gb one from Wal-Mart for like $15! Once you get your new SD Card then follow this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44683922#post44683922
Good Luck!

I don't think you understand my problem. I have 560 MB of free space on my internal SD, but I can't install any applications because every time I try I get an error that I don't have enough space, regardless of the size of the application. I should be able to install a 5 MB application if I have more than 5 MB of free space. I have a 32 GB class 10 external SD card (and I have a couple CWM backups on it) but it's almost full so doing Link2SD isn't realistic, not to mention the many problems that Link2SD has been known to cause. If somebody has had this problem before, where they definitely have enough free space to install applications but their phone tells them they do not, I'd appreciate some assistance.

I had this problem once, I've read that that the system could not remove an app or something, sorry but the only way I fixed was by restoring a cwm backup. I spent a good while trying to solve it, but nothing I found worked.

I had this problem with a different phone once, when I believe I tried to install and uninstall the same app for a lot of times, it finally refused to do so. End up flash the whole ROM.
You could try uninstalling the last few apps you installed or fix permissions before you dump the rom

I hope that your 5mb application is not TitanBackup and you are not having LuckyAbcxyz in your phone! If you do, that's the source of your problem, and you can see if all the time and troubles you got worth the pirated stuffs...
If u are using remount SD to switch ur ext sd with ur internal SD then u need to make a folder called external_SD in ur sdcard0 folder after u use remountsd to switch storage.. if not, then I say u need to use remountsd and use jb settings to change ur storage.. if u want I can link u to the instructions post of remount SD
Sent from my LG-P769 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Download remountsd and OPEN it.. (must have root) click on the wrench settings icon and input these mounts to their respected places
JB Settings:
Interne SD - /storage/Sdcard0
External SD - /storage/Sdcard0/external_sd
Target external SD card - /storage/sdcard0
Reboot ur phone and when finished media scanning go to ur storage and see the changes. I've experienced if problem before and I had to not only hard reset the phone I also had to flash a cwm backup stock of my current Rom
IF remountsd doesn't work right away u need a fresh install of Rom THEN try remountsd. Remountsd is a Definite for switching storages
