I need one simple script. I just dont know the coding to write it.
I need to kill an app at a certain time and restart it.
I want adwlauncherEx to be killed upon boot complete so it can fix a weird issue with icons not staying after a reboot. I have to Menu/ launcher settings/ restart adw then tbey stick fine.
Anyone can help? Ill hit thanks, hell ill hit it every day for a while lol.

Has anyone experience a wait and force close option every time you reboot on the axura rom? Every time i reboot the phone launcher pro tends to not work until you kill it.

You aren't waiting long enough after boot. Let it sit longer before touching the screen.

That is odd then, and has not been my experience (nor have I seen it in his thread).
Perhaps ODIN to stock and flash his newest build when it's released and you plan to update anyway.
I am having the same issue but with Ginger clone
I was having this issue with Axura 2.1 but everything would work fine when I hit wait. My issue seemed to be tied with visual VM which cleared up with 2.2VE.
If you hit wait does it still run ok?

I have this exact issue with all versions of Axura. If I wait, a very long time for boot, its cool. Or I just hit wait. Sometimes its faster to FC the reboot is faster then the wait.
Just annoying for now. Would like a fix tho...

I'm using Sombionix ROM Nero 4.1 TW. How do I take screenshots? I know they have apps in the market but I've never downloaded one before and somehow on accident I took a screenshot and I don't know how I did it. Can anyone help?
THANK U!!!

I don't think that anyone has been able to work out the inbuilt screen shots. Most people use shootme. Go to market, search for shootme. Hit install. It ll take 10 seconds and its simple and easy to use.
a few days back there was a thread talking about this but no one knew the correct pattern to take a screen picture. Do you remember your combination?? I believe people said something like pressing home and back at the same time.
@Alex...thanks ill do that.
@Dmolition...I don't know what I did to take that screenshot. I did it on accident a few times and I never downloaded app from market. I'm going to keep trying and if I figure it out, ill post it.

I've noticed that in the last couple of days, the Settings app doesn't work properly. At times, when I open the app, it just opens for a second and goes back to the home screen. After some time, the problem goes away on its own. Sometimes, taking out the battery and rebooting the device helps. Sometimes, it doesn't work. Anybody help me out here?

I am not really sure but this might be happening due to a virus or malware. Which RoM are you using?

Stock Gingerbread. 2.3.4!
Try installing any free antivirus and scan your phone. I recommend Netqin
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
It can also happen if you apply a wrong patch, or flashed something that was not supposed to be flashed on a stock ROM.

No viruses, never flashed or patched anything! :|
maybe because cache is full, can make phone become crazy sometimes.
moreover u said ur on full stock rom without any modification. pure stock rom stores cache in phone memory and it'll be full and cluttered overtime.
Hi, I really need some help now, I tried every launcher but I always seem to get FCs over time. Does anybody know what seems to be the problem?

The problem is that your phone sometimes runs out of memory so it closes the launcher to make up for it. What launcher are you using?
when i check my free RAM, i always see more than a hundred.. I actually tried ADW, ADW Ex, Launcher Pro Plus, and Go Launcher EX.. all the same.. it just randomly hangs up and FC..
EDIT: I think I solved the problem. Probably because of the script conflict. hehe I had Lagfree and at the same time the SDcardSpeedFix. I just deleted the SDcardSpeedFix. My phone became fast (I guess).
You are on custom or stock rom????

Add this to build.prop: ro.HOME_APP_ADJ = 1
It might help
I've had wave launcher on my phone since gingerbread, now I'm on I'VE and everytime I try to open the app itself to change some settings, it keeps giving me the message that it stopped working. Although it works when restoring my backup from titanium after restarting. I have no idea why I'm not being able to launch it through app drawer.
Anyone else having this problem?

Tried reinstalling manually? Clear dalvik and fix permissions?
Yeah, I've done all of those. I don't know what's up with it

Maybe it's having compatibility issues with ICS? I saw a comment on the app (not that we can really take those as gospel) from a gnex user saying it wasn't playing nice with ics.
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using xda premium
yeah probably. Seeing that it was last updated last year in September. Oh well, hopefully it gets fixed somehow

Good developers reply to emails from play store. That's how I got MadMaxx over here for 4ext. If you really like the launcher, and since its a paid app, an email may be worth a shot

This is completely out of topic...
So, you're the one bringing the guy who made the 4ext to this forum?? OMG. you're as cool as a glacier dude
I have never email any developer through play store at all... lol. i guess I should try it when I got a problem XD
I have the same problem in my Galaxy SII with official ICS 4.0.3, the first times the app is active and I could go to the settings from the notification shortcut but when the app closed i couldn't opened anymore because when I try to open from the app drawer (that is the only way to active because the shortcut in the notification isn't there) it's always giving me force close.
The first times the wave is active when i restarted the phone because it was configured to open in startup but after two or three restarts it didn't activated anymore.
I tried everything I have installed all previous versions of wave launcher and the only that didn't give this problem is the 1.5 version but this version doesn't support widgets.
I don't understand why such a great application didn't receibed an update in 9 month, I hope the developer isn't dead
Sorry for my english.
I'm from Uruguay.
The only problem i had was the app would force close when launching from the drawer. So what i did was, i cleared the data, restarted and started from scratch again. of course the app still force closes when launching from the drawer and before, i hid the notification icon so there was no way to get to settings. Now its back and everything is working exept the only problem o had before, i have changed the settings and the apps i wanted to put are there. I can access it from the notication easily.

Have you tried Swipepad? I remember it being similar with Wave Launcher.... It even has more shortcut available (up to 12 I think)
I haven't used it for a couple months after resetting my phone though. So, I don't know if it works with ICS
waved launcher force close on ics
Me too.. ref: v1.8.1
Same force close problems.. Once I managed to get it up & running (that was the first & last).
Now I can't even get it to install, "unfortunately wave launcher has stopped"..
YES DELICATELY NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ICS (like most fancy launchers like ultimate faves pro
