Hey I have just rooted my device with a CF-auto-root file. But i need to install CWM to install themes and stuffs. Is there a way to install CWM without rooting again?
Thanks.

you could have rooted with cf-root 6.5 instead...it includes CWM, otherwise google clockwordmode recovery and download the recovery and flash it with odin, simple as that!
I googled it but there's only one for Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300), While mine is a GT-19305, Can I use CWM for 19300 on 19305?

Hi guys these days I'm doing a lot of flash
So I'm getting confused with the recovery versions:
Now I have cynogen 9 with ClockworkMod recovery 5.8.4.5
1) Is it the latest version or 5.5.0.4 - "v1.5" which is installed by cf 6.3 is newest?
2) I read that the Touch recovery 5.8.4.5 has bugs in performing the backup/ restore so is recommend to install the 5.8.4.3;
I've the NO TOUCH version of 5.8.4.5,so what should I do?
3) If I install cf6.3 having "RomManager" and "Superuser" in the cyano what happens to these two app?:
-they are replaced by "CWMmanager" and "SuperSu" ?
-or should I uninstall them first, to allow the installation of these last two ?
I hope someone can help me.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for any mistakes of language
You're confusing CF-Root with ClockworkMod Recovery.
CWM Manager gets its own app, so if you have Rom Manager at the same time, if you're upgrading from another you can either remove it or not use it.
Better not use ROM Manager, you will **** up

I dont know if it will actually cause you a problem but i've seen Chainfire state various times that Rom Manager is incompatible with CF-Root for i9300 and to use CWM Manager instead.

I am not sure the cwm will work. You can try it. Both phones are very similar and recovery is overwritten on reboot, so no permanent change to phone. Let me know on corresponding thread if it works

The temporary CWM recovery should be fine.
Don't try to use any kernels with CWM recovery built in that are meant for the I9100 on an I9100G though. It won't work, and you'll likely have a boot loop, or get stuck on the boot screen.

CWM
I managed to find a CWM Recovery for Galaxy S Advance, googling it will come up with several results (can't post link),
But I have a problem. Trying to flash the .zip from SD card will start the installation, it says the recovery is replaced with CWM Recovery, and then the phone just turns off. Turning the phone on againg and entering the recovery shows I'm still in the original recovery (Android system recovery (3e)).
The problem is that this seems to prohibit me from flashing custom ROM-s form SD.
Any ideas?
First off my English isn't perfect so its hard for me to understand how some things work.
I have a galaxy SIII I9300 4.1.1.
Can you upgrade a galaxy S3 4.1.1 to 4.2.1?
I want CM 10.1 on my galaxy S3 but i need version 4.1.1.
I once tried putting CM 10.0.0 on it but it wouldn't work, So i searched it up on google and it said i need a dutch version of Cm10.0.0 or something( My phone is dutch)( I am dutch )
If someone can help me i would realllllllyyy appreciate it. i have been youtubing and googling for a long time but cant find anything that really helps me.
So if you're that one nice guy that like to help me! Leave a post with your skype and we will talk!
Since you have an I9300, you need to be in that section. This is for the Tmobile US version T999. I will move your thread and hopefully someone in your section will be able to help you.
Good luck.

Owh okay! Thanks!
From what I heard, International version of galaxy s3 is unable to get cm10 because Samsung hasn't release the hardware or software codes yet? I may be wrong or even way off but something along those lines

If you want to install cgm 10.1 on your S3 you can download the zip file of the latest version of the Rom and if you have already rooted your S3 you have to install that zip using the recovery.
If you haven't rooted your s3 you have first of all to root it.
Where did you read that you need a particular version of the original rom to install cgm?

Have you used triangle away to reset the counter? it's important for the warranty!
So here you can find information about version 10.0 of cgm for i9300. Read the last posts to download the last release of the cm10 rom.
