Hey, guys and gals,
Was wondering if any of you tested an audio mod (like, BeatsAudio, AC!D, etc.) with any sucess on a JB Rom. I tested AC!D with walk man addon myself, walkman didn't even open and AC!D didn't seem to make a difference to the sound quality. Then I tried to install Beats via aroma installer, but the files wheren't even copied onto my system partition. When I tried copying them manually, I got stuck on a bootloop. Yesterday, I saw Chuck95 say that he got BeatsAudio to work on JB. Have any of you done so? Could somebody please provide a link with a working version?

Thanks for the tip, bro, but I got a force close when opening AwesomeBeats after applying the zip. Also, I was more looking for a 'proper' mod, e.g. one that changes the audio files in /system partition to improve the sound, not just a themed dsp-manager

I'm willing to bet that the update.zip doesn't work on our phones, regardless of whether the Beats Audio bit does. Try this attachment out. It might work..

Damn...I should have bet with money.. :-D
The original .zip file was fine, apart from the update-binary. This is unique to every phone model, it seems. I just overwrote it with one from a working Mini update.zip and that was it.

Can you make flashed zips to restore?
FIX: Status 0 error during clockwork mod flash.
1. open the .zip file of the current Gingerbread ROM you are using and navigate to the:
META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary file
inside the Rom file and drag and drop it onto your desktop.
2. Put this file in the zip containing the "BEATS" Mod (should be placed here:META-INF/com/google/android/*here*) (overwrite existing file)
3. Flash your modified zip.
It doesn't have to be a GB rom that the update-binary comes from. Any update.zip that works on the phone will do just fine.

Some files from My MiniCM7 Pro with new EQ. Here no work.
I have imagine it, is only a new EQ pumping bass
The real Beats audio is on htc eradicate on the kernel + new EQ, something different

You can make almost the same using DSP manager you have in the custom rom and playng with Dynamic Range Compression, bass and loudness or EQ

yes. it is an EQ, what you expect? hehe i look into it, it is the Beats Audio (tm) that have inside HTC phone..and you dont have to tune in DSP or playing with settings to get the sound..i always hope to get Beats Audio in my phone, and now is the chance..since i got dr.dre headphone, its perfect now

After install this mod, you will experience:
Surround effect(Stereo speaker)
The sound becoming deeper(Dynamic Sample rate increased, You'll feel your song becoming deeper now!)
Background sound is heard clearly(Clarity)
Instructions:
DOWNLOAD SRS_Trumedia_V2_by_CKKnot_ported_by_dewanshu93 or from mirror or download from below attachment
Delete DSP Manager before flashing
Flash with CWM
NOTE:
After flashing phone takes time to boot so dont think you get a bootloop just wait for the phone to boot completely.
It will remove any /system/lib/soundfx files and install the SRS into it.
So, your all previous sound enchantments are removed! (To prevent lib conflicts)
For undo/remove this modification, You have two choices
Restore your rom backup easy right?
Backup your tweaks etc...
Reinstall your whole rom without full-wiping.

they are only bunch of system files..its like an EQ, doesnt have panel or app. if you flash the zip, just play songs, and you know the differences

Hi All,
I have flashed the libs after deleting (actually moved to sd card) DSP manager from system/apps via root explorer. After flashing, I have awsome sound on my X10MP (PrimeHD v3+nAa Kernel). Thanks for porting this to our X10MP. Again after flashing i moved DSP Manager to system/apps with "appropriate permissions" and after rebooting I could use DSP manager as well.

Its better didable all type of eq when using SRS on windows coz SRS is protech engeneers sound tuning stuf. In our phone the file is ready to go which mean user not interact with setups and etc SRS is already tuned to best sound and I think EQ-ing this not make it better -its brake it.
FOR EXAMPLE: If you use it on your PC/LAPTOP just enable the WOOW on 40% and then if you use AIMP for example ,kick the 5dB (bass) on 8 or 9 and you will see what's will happen
You will lose clearity and etc .

Sorry to disappoint you. This mod will not have GUI interface made by me...
If you want it, you can create a simple android app and contribute to this mod
The sound is better when it's system lib configurated
I can't stop enjoing this
So deeep ,clear ,amazing sound
PS: To best result try all you mp3's to be on 320kbps rather than 128kbps
You will be AMAZED.
PS: For those there reading but scarry to flash - dudes/girls FLASH this !!! Trust me ! If you have the beat audio ,DSP and what's ower DELL it without doubt and flash this and aftet that come back and press thk to guy who make it and the one who port it

As stated in the forum it could damage your speakers.. So please dont flash it if u love your phone

This is not good idea dude i try to explain why.
Boosting 3W speaker to 4W its not good.
Built in amp in our minis is 5W max. , speaker is 3W. Nominal range of amp is 2.5 wat which is best for 3W speaker. With this nominal values you get the best sound with great dBm and Khz. When you pump the nominal value with things like xloud and etc you just change output volume which cause noise , bad sound on max volume ,distortion , not good dBm and etc.
When tuning nominal sound like this mod and generally SRS do you will get the best of the best from your phone
In my last job i was the car audio intaller stuf and most of the young guys who came to buy amps speakers and etc want for example 200W amp and 200W speakers and I allways explain them the better choise will be 350W amp and 400W speakers with nominated and moderated max sound fot amp on 250W. They say this is less than max out of amp and i say yes but with this way you will get the amazing sound in your car ,deep bass without vibration and etc.
And thats why is better SRS-ed nominal sound rather than doubled max vol via xLoud like stuffs

im looking for working beats audio zip for my arc..
i have tried everything i could find, flashed all zips from Rocodev's thread, i also tried modified dsp manager with integrated beats audio and it worked for a few hours and after that , sound just rols back to stock... low volume and bad sound..
i tried everything, wipe dalvik cache before or after installing, fixing permitions manualy and in recovery, flashing with cwm and manually...... i have reflashed my rom every time after non secssfull
installing beats audio,so im asking u, am i doing something wrong or beats audio is just not compatible with this device ?!?!?
does anybody get it working on xperia arc cm9?

i dont think so, dsp manager with integrated beats audio is made only for roms based on ics.. but it would be great that if we have that on cm7...

Is there any other option to have beats plugin in CM7?
i tried all beats audio zips i could find, on my xperia arc, cm7 , none of them worked... u could install beats audio installer from google play ,its an app that can copy all beats audio files to system folder automaticly, it didnt worked for me, but u can try.. make a nandroid backup before flashing..

i flashed only acid 8 without walkman....and using player pro with its built in virtualizer.....sound is awesomely increased and crisp on my stock neoV:laugh: headsets
i cant understand how you can "feel" the difference. Everyone says it is awesome. I have seen no difference of such high level.
I installed noozxoide and it is the exact same thing! I have used many headpods and a cheap headphone. No huge difference. I have also useD my 2.1 audio system and well there is completely no difference with noozxoide and acid!. Just flash a walkman addon.

that is a rare statement i am seeing second time.......if you have installed acid 4 before....then it is impossible to see no difference apart from wrong installations...
i never needed noozoxide ....for me its crap.....walkman is slow and 35 mb size but worth it....
what we hear with stock sound is plain music....and the difference i saw with acid is.....high depth in music,and little un-needed bass

in my view try flashing over your v4....if it works....wonders for you.....if not..either way flash new rom...it did works

look for the screenshots...sometimes the modded technology does not adapt every ROM base(due to libs issues)

if sense me is not included with walkman..try another mod from rizal lovins walkman...i used it once with acid 6

Look at the soundfx folder inside lib folder of system....if it contains more than 10 files....then it might cause some issue

Did u do a clean install?? Acid requires clean install,and did u wipe cache and dalvik cache?
