I gave it a shot, and didn't see alot of change. I'm on rooted p679 v10e and I ran antutu before and after
my total score before was 7353 and my score after was 7048. it gave me a small jump in ram and gpu speed and dropped my cpu
it's compiled for snapdragon processors so I'm not surprised it didn't do much :/

Ok, ill try and get it on your thread tonight or tomorrow, i just lost root so i need to restore first :/ the tmous varient of the l9 is frustrating
Sent from my LG-P769 using xda premium

ok got root back and sent a clean backup.
I was looking through the desire s posting and realized I might have tried the wrong zip. I flashed the first zip
I can't tell if it's an older file or not but there's an alpha for that project butter mod with no adreno + mali Gpu
I'll update if I notice any change. It's just a bunch of build.prop mods to adjust ram and graphics so it could help

Thanks. U sent the clean CWM backup. It's added in list already. The P769 community needs more and more help and resources than any other variant.
Glad to know that you can explore build.prop and make some tweaking attempts. Good luck.

I now want to know if i can overclock the cpu to get even higher score and if i can how do i do it????
i cant seem to find any threads containg x10 cpu overclock
thanks
Leon
Don't know if its correct. Wouldn't we need the bootloader cracked to do so? xD

There's a app on the Android Market called SetCPU, that should allow you to overclock your X10.
doesn't work.. at least not for me anyway. overclocking depends on your kernel, and so far I haven't found any custom kernels

That's retarded. SETCPU lets you select you frequency, it doesn't overclock...

Its amazing how many people ask this... And you would have your answer if you used your brain and used the search box...
You can not currently overclock the CPU in the X10
Once the bootloader has been cracked and we can flash custom kernels that allow overclocking, then you can

Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160 Overclocking

So, I have time, phone, ubuntu 12.04, and a head, but no skills in android rom development. Some years ago I builded some roms for LG GM750 (Windows Mobile), so that's only I can for now
Firstly, i'd like overclock my SGA2. I know that I need to do something with a kernel? But what? Who can explane & give links? I know, antsm already tryed to overclock this phone, but no success. SetCpu is shownig right freq, but no any result in antutu and other benchmarks, so it isn't working. Any help is much appriciated
OK. I manged to compile kernel. got zImage and .ko modules. Now, I need stock zImage. And I have no idea how to get it... Help, please! This is what I have in official firmware!

Hey friends did anybody get to overclock now?
I'm honestly not fond of overclock, but if I can Undervolt and improve the already great battery life, that's fantastic
Whait a bit. antsm (sorry if spelled wrongly) (a man who did root on our phone), working on it. And CWM will be ready to use soon.
where can we see progress of Ace 2 CWM development? thank you

Setcpu SGA II
Hey guys i need help, every time I set minimum frequency to 800 Mhz it always change to 200 Mhz I'm using setcpu, no frills Cup, even the performance In settings (I'm using cyanogenmod 11 by maclaw) is that what call overclocking ? I now SGA II must have kernel to overclocking but as far I now, overclocking is set the frequency beyond it should be right? And what I'm doing is just set minimal frequency to 800 Mhz

have you ever heard for cpu governors? go to settings>performance>processor and choose governor you like. and no need for set cp, no frills cpu etc..
setting minimum frequency to 800 isn't overclocking. that's the good way to kill your phone... processor isn't made to work at max freq all time. and even if it survive, your battery life will be around 3-4 hours...
overclocking is setting max freq over 800 mhz...

[Q] Overclock Samsung GT-I9070 Galaxy S Advance

Can someone tell me how to overclock Samsung S advance?
SetCPU couldn't do it, neither android overclock...
Thanks!!!
For now, you cannot overclock SGSAdvance - O/C requires custom kernel, which hasn't been compiled yet. You can change your CPU's speed, but it won't let you set higher parameters than stock. So, wait for devs to compile an O/C kernel
a group of 4 is trying to get CM9 or 10 to work on our phone... meanwhile they're also trying to get OC on it... i'm just waiting... the rom they released is good enough to get me to wait patiently
Impatient
Any news on this guys? I'd really appreciate overclocking ability for SGS Advance.
Thank you in ADVANCE.
ROM Question
What ROM did they release?

Will overclock be available once SGSA gets the official JB update?

It seams that this is all about Adreno optimization.
Since we use Mali GPU, this is not relevant.
The rest is only well known "build.prop" tweaks that can increase overall performances a little bit but not much.
It will definitely not give a taste of "Project Butter".
By the way if you want to test something new on your device that can give even more juice, give this a try

you re wrong, there s also 4 devices that ve not quallcomm processor and Adreno GPU read carefully. Tnx 4 link
Read post carefully, it's there for non qualcomm and adreno chipsets as well.
It's not real Project Butter, but it gives a FEEL of BUTTERY SMOOTHNESS as far as possible.
Can you prepare instructions how to implement a project butter for the Xperia U stock ICS?
You just quote the content of the subject
Sorry, now i see.
It is there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1384807&d=1349684386
I flashed this zip and XU works little smoother.
Project butter is not only about vsync or some build.prop tweaks
Its way more

I flashed and didn't really know how to tell the differences. It's buggy as in? PLEASE MENTION BUGS.
I'm flashing now with system mounted in CWM. XPERIA SOLA.
EDIT
System seems smoother now. No bugs. MOUNT SYSTEM before installing.
Sorry to rain on everyone's parade but this is not an actual rendition of Project Butter ;P Its a collection of tweaks which will definitely improve performance on stock and all, given a branding no different than The Geeky Engine or Thunderbolt Script
On stock, you'll most probably see improvements, but for some custom roms which already include some of the tweaks, it might cause issues.. For safety purposes, ask your rom's Developer if its ok to flash on his rom first Anyway its not a bad script though so Thx for the share, bro

Hi
It works on sola ics build 154 bl lock with cw for to flash it?

Which rom are you on ? If its stock, it'll work If its a custom rom, its best you ask the maker of that rom
What Ican confirm is that this along with SEEDER (app) works. I have a smooth experience. Just feel it.

[DRIVERS][OFFICIAL] Adreno 205

Hello fellow XDA Members, i recently stumbled across Official drivers that were secretly uploaded by Qualcomm without much news about it, i have not tested them, but hopefully they increase our beloved Xperia Play's Performance alot on ICS...
Ive also cooked another version which is modded by me and should provide a tiny little bit more performance!
Anyways, would love if anyone can test and provide screenies of some benchs before & after!
Thanks to conformation from lovely forum members, it is only intended to work on ICS, try it on other versions of android at your own risk
Instructions:
~ Download the zip from the Attachements
~ Reboot to CWM
~ Flash it
~ Reboot
~ Reboot again
~ Enjoy!
Credits:
~ Qualcomm - Building the Drivers
Thank , i'm testing
Going to venture these are for ICS+? Also, what been changed in the modded version?
Edit - will test on GB and see how it goes, of course making a backup first.
can i use it in gb for incriesing perfomance?
Rom Racing Xplay
while flashing suddenly reboot
I will test this on GB, even though you said its for ICS. And will this work on JB on another 205 device?

Just tested, no your phone will still work but just like all other Adreno GPU updates it makes the phone run super slow in everytthing from screen swipes to especially games.
Did someone try this on CM10 or any other JB rom we have? Generally, does this work on JB at all?
It shows, that drivers obliviously doesnt work on gb, so android uses software renderer.
Where did you find this driver? I don't see any new Adreno drivers on Qualcomm Adreno page. Only those from april..

I tried running it on JB (CM 10 MaXeD) and all it did was slow down the phone to the point where I couldn't unlock.
On CMDA if it matters.
