notifications - Galaxy Note II Themes and Apps

Hi all
I'm looking for some apps that would work well on Samsung Galaxy Note II for customizing the notifications
=> custom vibrations
=> custom led notifications
=> display count of unread gmails, missed calls, ... on a homescreen widget
Do you know some that work well ?
Thanks
Nico

Custom vibrations are a stock option, paid lightflow with root access works well and I use paid nova launcher with the unread notification optional app which displays them on the icon?

cool, thanks for the answer !
After having paid and installed ligthflow, it seems this app manages vibrations too (I want to separate SMS/MMS/Calls/gmails... notification vibration modes, and the stock option does not allow it :cyclops !!!
Thanks once more
Bye
Nico

Light manger is free and does the job well. .

How do I use toggles / quick compose SMS from lockscreen?

This is probably a really dumb question but my search on Google didn't help me. I am on serendipity 8 and am wondering how can I control the toggles without unlocking?
I also want to be able to quick compose text from the lockscreen. I've tried handcent and go SMS but can't activate the quick compose functions unless I unlock the screen with my password.
Is there any way to do these things?
Thanks and sorry if its been covered I just can't find anything.

Anyway to be able to drag down the notification bar in widget locker while at lockscreen? I seem to have it enabled (not disabled anyway) but unless I'm in tool mode I can't pull down notifications

I'm able to use my notification bar while using widget locker. If your options are enabled I'd just reccomend rebooting your phone and trying it again. Also, check out the ice cream sandwich lockscreen theme very nice

I've been using Agile lock, able to pull down the notification bar and answer phone/emails/texts without unlocking. It also has 4 icons that you can drag to unlock and will go directly to those apps.
Ripple lock is from the same developer, does the same thing but has a different layout for the icons on the lock screen.
* It looks like you can't get Agile lock free anymore (I downloaded free a few weeks ago). Ripple lock is still free.

[Q] lock screen SMS previews?

hi, i am just wondering if there is any app or themes that allow iphone like SMS previews on the lockscreen?
i dont just want to see 1 or 2 new messages i like seeing the sms previews
also if there is also a lock screen theme that can show facebook notifications that would be great to... thank you.
Take a look at widgetlocker.
It's a lockscreen that lets you put widgets or virtually anything on the lockscreen.
It's awesome actually and has many many options.

Thanks ... It helped with some Other Customizations for me
But its Paid version so might not be good for everybody ...
Do you know any other way ???
SMS preview "pop up" is available on many other messaging applications.
Go and handscent do this.
Sent from the valley of the shadows....
Yeah mate,Go SMS is worth it for pop-up sms
Go SMS is good for popups, but super bloated as an app. If you like that, go for it.

[Q] Can I disable screen on when I receive an sms?

I hate how my screen turns on when I receive an sms message. I only need the notification icon in the taskbar and the led blink and if I disable the notifications from the settings the screen does not open but I loose the other notifications as well. Any ways to fix this?

Same question anyone?

Bump
interested in that too
Don't know if it's possible with the stock app, however if you're willing to use a 3rd party app, Go SMS does have an option to keep the screen off and quite possibly other apps do too.

switch to HANDCENT SMS, it is the best sms app, i am using it for a year now. Go to setting and disable pop-up. Now when you receive a message, it will vibrate, led will blink, but screen will not turn on. You will ses the message in the notification bar.

That's what I'm using right now but I want to minimize the use of third party apps as much as possible . Plus with handcent sms when I send a picture or video it doesn't work. I have to use the regular messaging app in order for my mms to leave successfully .

strange, people use handcent just for mms and you are having issues ,, might be problem with settings

Still no solution for this one. I don't want to use handcent or go sms for two reasons. First I like the simplicity if the stock samsung app and second I use the direct call feature that only works with stock app. There must be a way to hack the default messaging app to stock opening the screen when receiving a message.

BUMP. This feature is sooooo annoying!!!!
It irritates me also. I've used Handcent on every device in the past, but I don't want to for some reason on this one. I actually rather like the stock messaging app.
I suppose I'll go back to Handcent. The screen on is annoying, plus it creates a temporary wakelock that drains the battery even more.

Touchwiz lockscreen notification

I am using a touchwiz rom and I like to use Chomp sms instead of the stock sms app, but I like how the stock sms shows up on the lock screen. any way of doing this with Chomp?
I know I can always pull down the notification bar but id rather use the lock screen notification instead.
Thanks.
Or would it be possible to add emoji to the stock mms app? I have read many forums and even replaced my secmms.apk but when I do that I lose my lock screen notification.

{REQ} Note 3 TouchWiz Launcher with Ability to Hide Apps

Hi,
I flashed the Note 3 Launcher, the original one I previously had on 4.3 had the ability to hide apps in app drawer, but the N3 one doesnt. Can someone guide me on how to hide them without an app? Or can someone modify it?
Please I dont want another launcher, just the N3 launcher with this ability. Thanks
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
No frikin idea why they got rid of that...there's like 10 apps I always hide from the drawer...I'm using the LG G2 launcher till that feature is brought back..its pretty solid. Except for the lock screen settings which don't work.don't need em anyways since the functionality isn't there.

That doesn't hide apps... it disables them (and hides them). We need something that only hides the app for example I want to hide the SuperSU app, adaway app... which Samsungs built in hide apps allowed us to do.
Here's the note 3 twizz launcher with blue text by Claude. It has the ability to hide apps as well. If not you could always use nova launcher
