i have been trying to get the TOUCH ui on my tytn (tmobile mda2)
i was able to flash the htc hermes flash, that worked fine..
but for a day before hand and now, for a day after
i cant flash my device with any of the following
Tom_B_B_v4.0_TouchFlo_Professional
BlackDiamond 1.0 Touch or BlackDiamond 1.1 Touch
NBD_V.8.2_6MB
none of them work!
with TOM_BB, it starts, then at 2% it says image error or something
the other 2
..
they are just about to go into bootloader mode
and they stall!
i press the power button and my phones back on again (like its just gone on standby)
what gives
someone please help!

how is the Rom ?
Installed the rom posted in the wp7 section as this was taking to long, and its great, everything works ok so far, feels quicker as well. and its fully unlocked.

Rom works great. More Languages included. I like the bigger startscreen.
Lumia Downloader was my flashing tool(Nss just for qualcomm-bootloader and sim-unlock in my opinion)

It is based on the leaked (beta?) 7,8 rom, it is not WP7.8, it is something like 7.5 with new tiles.

New kernel.dll works nice.
The problem is not new kernel but the guys who can not reloc it correctly Another big problem - the source leak was a self-made stuff with old kernel in XIP - so the guys just don't have new kernel
Вова, кернел ручками релочить надо! Тогда получится всё - и кернел будет новый, и ром будет грузиться. Правда для этого надо иметь новый оригинальный MSXIPKERNEL.

What do you expect? 8835 is the second instance of 7.8 - pretty old stuff. It has only new UI. The build was kinda one step ahead from 7.5 without any other changes except UI. But dumpers were able to get only this stuff. Even without original langs - 0409 and 0415 only.
anyone know how to make Htc HUB big tile again ? like picture tile...i try ...but nothing...with pictures ....same...

this problem solved in official 7.8 Rom and with this Rom you can change the size of any tile you want ,without any issue !

This is my HD2 version of my popular Samsung Focus ROM that can be found HERE.
Ok folks, I've been running versions of my newest build on my Focus, Lumia 800, and HD2 now for about a week and all three devices are rock solid so time for a public release.
So here are the fruits of my labor. My goal was to stay as minimal and as stock as possible. Windows Phone as it is supposed to be. Most of the changes are 'under-the-hood' type changes so your device will still look stock but you will have all the perks of a fully unlocked ROM.
I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOUR PHONE EXPLODES OR ANYTHING ELSE. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
If you have downloaded the original version of this ROM please install the 'settings_update.cab' attached at the bottom of this post. I just noticed a small bug in the 'gray' accent that could cause problems if you change the language to something other than English. I have already uploaded a 'fixed' version of the ROM now as well. Enjoy.

I don't know for sure what rom files HD2Owner used as a base but I would guess they are the same version as mine. I pulled mine from the firmwares nokia released a little while ago on their servers.

It doesn't have that tweak included. You can change the settings using a registry editor like Root Tools though.

I don't intend to make a version with any other lang's. This is just the rom I use on my own phone, and since the work is already done I figured I would share it incase others might find it useful. However, if you would like you can simply use the Chinese lang update cabs (once the 8858 ones are released) to add the language.

I didn't edit any of MS's packages in SYS, ROM/XIP, ROM/SLDR so it should be fine, but I can't say for sure. You can always send update cab's with cab sender though even if it doesn't since I know that will work.

There isn't really anything exciting. It's just a stock WP 7.8 start screen. Nothing extra.

Its just a regular rom no extra stuff added only basic/default microsoft apps

You need the activation code that can be downloaded free from Microsoft.

Bluetooth Headset - Works fine without crashing.
Battery - consumes a little faster than other ROMs for HTC HD2
Hardware - Seems to be working 95%, Bluetooth, WiFi, Touch, Camera ... Touch only two points instead of four.

1. I develop for Windows Phone 7+ so I need to continue testing applications with the ROM
2. I would like a Windows Phone 7.8 like ROM because I can not obtain the notification to update WP7.5 to WP7.8
3. I can not stand when I download a PDF file with a third part browser (like UCBrowser) and then I can not open it
