Hi, I need to replace my motherboard Xperia sk17i. Watching videos on youtube does not seem to be very difficult. However, I do not know how the issue of the keyboard - you have to detach it to this treatment? Because some filmikach peel off, some do not. How it fit back there later? You will need a new glue to use? That's why I prefer not to peel it.
Thank you.
Sorry for my english, I write from Polish.

That would be good, I've mailed you.
If and when I repair this phone I'll create a slide show with instructions, already done that for a few gadget repairs.
The latest is detailed view on how to solve the A/C cut out with Compaq Presario R3000 if anybody is interested, saved me £300 plus doing it myself.
Help is what these forums are all about.
I have the service manuals with lots of pics and details to fix neo. I don't know if I can upload them here. Maybe you can find help in those. Google them or pm me your email if you need them.
I actually have the manual as well, devrruti but sadly it doesn't provide much info on how to stick the touch screen back to the frame, only tells us to use something like a "pressure tool" set at 60N and press the touchscreen towards the frame.
But we don't have that kind of tool so there must be a workaround...
DO NOT try to change the touch screen yourself, unless you first find a way to safely detach the touch screen from the front face body of the Neo.
I tryied myself and have not yet managed to separate the two things, it seems it is glued or something like that.
If anyone finds out the way to pull it off, please let me know.
I managed to find a similar guide, but for the Xperia Play. It's a different device, but it's probably based on the same principals. http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Installing-Sony-Xperia-Play-Digitizer/7593/1 ... BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DOING THIS!
I managed to disassembe the device. The problem that I have now is that I cannot prevent dust from getting in between the lcd display and the touch screen glass at the moment I connect them back.
Any ideas? any practical recipe to avoid dust?
Could those of you who own a Xperia mini pro (sk17i) press on the screen, hard but not not hard! and tell me if the screen then touches the LCD underneath.
I also need to know if your screen is glass or plastic
Thanks All
I ask as my screen was damaged and it was fixed under warranty but they have put in a plastic screen (im 99% sure they have anyway) and im trying to gather some info.
You could use the Z-DeviceTest to have a reference value on the pressure. I Have a Live With Walkman, around 0.6 on the center of the screen the spot on the begins to decolor because of the pressure.
Hello to all,
First of all i wanna thank you for any help in advance.
I have a mentioned phone for a litle while but the problem appeared when Xperia fell on the ground. Now my mobile looks like it went tough a war.
I decided i will change the housing, but i have few question.
When you buy a new housing is there the front screen protector, or this is allready the screen? i needto know if sony xperia housing has someting over the screen or is it the display allready?
And if this is changable i would like someone to describe the procedure.
You can se pictures below. All the dots on the display are deep dents.
Thank you for all of your help

Hi all, I have dust on the front camera (there's dust on the glass covering the camera) and it makes the image (on Skype for example) very blurry and whitish. How can that be cleaned?
Me too...
I'm looking for a solution. But my phone is a wt19i.
same problem
good stuff, I'm not alone . I was thinking of using a compressed air can to blow around the area (ear piece and joints around) - maybe it moves that dust a bit.

Well you can teardown your phone and then clean the dust...
If only you are too much desperate to do it... Coz its risky...
Or you can always go to Sony Service Center... But those guys charge too much money...
Hit thanks to Mihahn for the link

I've replaced the screen assembly of my Sony Xperia Z2 Phone, but the touchscreen does not respond anymore.
I think i've knocked out the capacitor (or something along those lines) a few milimeters above and to the right of the display connector on the motherboard, does anyone know what part this is? I have a picture of the motherboard but can't post outside links.
Thanks in advance!
