Anyway I can use the Xperia conversations.apk on CM9.1?
Tried to extract the apk and install it on my phone but it didn't work...

i guess you cant install any apk from Xperia firmware to CM u have to port .it

I think yes you can do this. currently m using conversation.apk in my custom rom. no need to install just copy the original apk anywhere on your sd card.
flash custom rom and then copy and replace original apk. thats it.

Well actually I tried to paste it to /system/app but it didn't do anything.
So you mean I have to delete mms.apk from CM and paster conversations.apk and rename it instead?
I don't think that would work tbh but I'll try

I know that it's a different thing that's why I'm asking how it could get it to work.
Achotjan's ROM works with Sony + Cyanogen core so there must be a way to port it.

I don't think you understand what I say:
You said that there was dozens of threads like mine with questions that have been answered, so if my question has already been answered I'm asking why? because I didn't find any thread which explains how to port conversations over to cm, thanks for your understanding.

Good idea would be, for rom creators, to create threads in general or q&a section so people, with no enough posts, can ask in one thread, not many.

yes thats a way easier mate or ask in general chat in Q/A topic, its a sticky, because someone have always a answer for you or link you to the right fix

But in this instance, the Rom thread states these aren't working, they are inherent aokp problems, so if this thread notified emman he would feel obliged to respond when there is nothing to do till it's sorted upstream.

you may be right but i made some changes and did it... not just blindly flashed ray ROM to lww. i know its not compatible with my phone, so i didn't do what you have expected..!! jus think for your question how come ray kernel boots lww. I MADE SOME CHANGES!!!!!

Your original post implies that you simply flashed st18i 4.1.B.0.431.ftf into your lww.

He got the answer depending on the information given at the time. IF he had said what he added later on, and also attached a bloody logcat, then trust me, everyone would be much more helpful.

See, people here are nice. They are always ready to help. You just need to ask for help properly. Thank them if they help you (many did in this post), and say sorry if you did a mistake. That way, this forum will run, and people will not starting hating each other.

WOw.... i believe we all re so happy having ICS 4.0.4 on my mobiles!!! am now using ICS & i love it but tha toggles button like reboot, 2G/3G, bluetooth, wifi and so on in GB aint including.... i know many people would be happy to have dis on tha mobile. Also tha reboot function aint included in tha power options.
Developers should please do something.....

I m not sure but maybe it has something to do with the kernel...when you use so many roms for ur own rom...did you use appropriate kernel that is supported by all of dem?

i think ray is too much different from xmp CMIIW
maybe u can ask some devs by PM.
I think you need JB kernel in order to run JB.
You have to port the kernel that came with the ROM.
But don't ask me how
You must port framework and apps,if it's hdpi framework on mdpi,the rom will always be in booting stage,and bootanim will never end.
Ok,
since it is hdpi to mdpi,
I resized the framework and replaced apps from Paranoid JB from dhk.- ( he allowed me to use it as base )
And about the kernel I used the FXP136 kernel since it is the only kernel for JB...
What I only know is it blinks the red led light every 5~10 seconds while booting.
And then it never ends...:crying:

replace these files from base to the rom you want to port
see the files in pics
And don't forget to edit the build.prop

Without you knowing how to use logcat and Post it no dev will be able to help at all.

You can easily extract them from the ROM ftf if you have it.

Yep exactly these, but i don't have the ROM. I've installed today the moonbreaker rom, but i like more the white version of these apps.
