I've just bought lenovo s870e a couple days ago, and I couldn't find the usb drivers and the new rom/firmware, I had enough with the stock rom, because the google play store won't work, etc... So, I need some help with it...

Hey man. I have one as well but I asked an employee to help root it for me. I am still not sure if it's a full/true root and haven't spent enough time to check myself.
Drivers should have been loaded on the phone when you install it, at least for connection in normal mode. For fastboot and ADB, I don't have them either...

well i got the newer rom already, can root it using romasterv.3.1.0 but still, lenovo didn't update the rom seriously... the newest rom 2013-03-22 still got lots of bugs, can't login to google account

Where did you get a latest firmware? Can you upload it or send it to me? How did you root Lenovo S870E?

Thanx, i have downloaded firmware, but have troubles with Chinese romasterlab 3.2.1, what same part of menu you clicked for root? It will be very good if you make some screen shots or something like that.

I dont know about romasterlab 3.2.1 , i'm using 3.1.0
after the phone rooted, it will changes the wallpaper, and u got supersu inside the apps menu automatically

Rooted with ROMASTERLAB with the instructions given on page 1. It worked without any hassle
The speaker volume of this phone is very feeble (too low), though in headphone mode it is very good.
Installed Volume+ app, but no help. It seems the phone is having manufacturing defect or it is built this way.
What is your experience regarding sound in speaker mode?

Dear friends,
my s870e crash, always stay in china telecom logo and can not run into android menu. When i try to flash using stock recovery, i can not found install zip from sdcard menu. that menu is missing. how can i fix my problem ?
i hope someone can backup s870e rom using MtkDroidTools ? After that, please upload to internet. i want try restore rom using mtkdroidtools. hope anyone can help

Can I ask how you rooted your G500? I tried the Bin4ry method and it all seemed to work OK but when I run root explorer it says it does not have superuser rights!
How are you installing the Google apps stuff? Are you just putting the google play app on your device and installing it? I think you need a lot of other files as well especially the google framework.
When I get root I will give a few things a try - I think you might need something like the google apps pack from the cyanogenmod page - it is intended as an installable zip from recovery - but as we have no clockworkmod recovery we can't do this but I think you can copy it to your device and change a few file permissions.

OK I've managed root now with v10 of the Bin4ry root method. Now I'll try to install some of the google stuff!

I am planning to buy either this or the Newman N1 phone.

This 's guide, u can root hw G500pro now. after u rooted your fone u install Super SU.apk (install free version before, then u install pro version) to enable superuser. Root Exploer run normal.
u can search google with key word "how-to-root-huawei-ascend-g500-pro" because I can't post link now
Now, i can install google service sucessfully. i dowload market parket include GoogleLoginService.apk; GooglePartnerSetup.apk; GoogleServicesFramework.apk; MarketUpdater.apk; NetworkLocation.apk; Vending.apk. huawei shine is best choice with smartfone dual sim now. Chip dual core, ram 1GB, sceen qHD with Gorilla glass....!
Huawei is cheaper than HTC T328W and SS galaxy S duos. but it is faster than htc, SS galaxy S duos....

Sure, HuaWei U8836D seems a really good smartphone.
Unfortunately, there is sooo few support for it: difficult root, no custom rom (besides eto's one)..... so I'm looking to Newman N1 and Zte V970 (cheaper and with good custom works), or maybe the more expensive Zopo zp300+...

A little unfair - the root (Bin4ry v10 version) is very quick and I would say easy. The phone has only been available for 2-3 weeks max so it will take a bit of time for the modding scene to get started. Although - as the ZTE V970 was out first then then people may stick there.
Does anyone have the scatter file for use with SP_Flash tool? I would really like to backup my entire ROM before I do anything!
Has anyone been sent and installed the eto ROM - is it installed with the flash tool?

U can check file in gooogle service parket( lastest version of market: 3.8.17). I'm sucessfull with my step. Now my fone can install with app in google market okie.
Remember, After u copy file to sys/app folder, u restart the fone.

Thanks to Bruno now you can flash the recovery with a custom one (ClockWorkMod) that will allow you to do a Nandroid backup of the installed ROM.

First of all you have to flash the recovery, check Bruno's thread to access his 4shared folder and download his recovery. Then you have to follow his instructions to flash it (go to the "Flashing only part of the ROM" section).
When you are finished flashing, you have to access the ClockWorkMod recovery and go to "backup and restore" and do a backup. That will generate a backup of your ROM and save it to your SD card.

Hi Guys, Few Days Ago I Posted Topic On How To Root Spreadtrum SC8810 Device But No One Was Accurate Enough. I Posted The Same Question On GSM Forum But No One Replied. This Is The 1st Tutorial Abt Rooting All Spreadtrum/Mediatek '&&' Many Other Processors With A Single Click.
Steps:
1) Download USB Drivers For Your Phone. (Google For It). If You Can't Find Drivers For Your Phone Then Contact Me.
2) Download VRoot (Self Modified Version) From Here : Mod Edit: Links removed
3) Install The Program.
4) Connect Your Phone Via USB.
5) Turn On USB Debugging In Your Phone. For 2.3 '&' Lower: Settings>Applications>Development>USB Debugging

If you have trouble getting ADB driver installed use www.snappea.com, it can install a generic adb driver that will work for what we need!

Edit : I noticed in your old guide that you could remove the chinese superuser after installing english superuser and updating, I've done that
and the prompts now come up from the english superuser, but the chinese one has made itself a system app somehow and I can't delete it,
is there a solution for that or should I just disable it and ignore it.

So you get english superuser prompts when something asks for root? Try using Titanium Back up to uninstall the chinese superuser app.

Size Of Chinese SuperUser Might Be Like 700 Kb. It Wont Affect You Much. So Just Leave It As It Is! !

It is actually quite simple to swap out the chinese superuser for the SuperSU or english Superuser if you know how. I posted how in my post about using Vroot.

Also - for most devices needing an ADB driver, just install snap pea from here: www.snappea.com It will install a generic ADB driver that will work just fine with any and every device I have used it on so far! You might also consider referencing or linking the developer of this tool since it is not of your own design. :good:

After success download ind file, Please place its that (inb file) at buit in memory.
ok here they way to do its!
1-put inb file into sd main
2 create sdfuse folder.
3-put inb file into sdfuse
4-reboot-your k900 into recovery mode with long press volume up and together with power button.
5-after reboot to recovery mode use up and down volume button to navi up side down.
6-choose sdupdate and press power button
7-after finish update reboot again.
8-yeah bingo and u can see (Superuser) was already in u lenovo K900:good:

The phone is good. Im very satisfied. There has been rumors that we will get the 4.3 update but not sure when. Yes the phone heats up sometimes but with the latest updates i feel like its gone down tremendously. There is no actual flaw to this phone i really like it. I will be using it until the K910 is officially released in my country. I wanna try an LTE phone lol.

Yes I know its very much "legit" . I had no problem in downloading the file uploaded initially. I will try this soon as my phone is just a week old and just wana make sure everything fine with it as after rooting I will loose its warranty.
Just a single question I have is, when on lock screen I press PIN code the whole screen brightness kinda flicker/brighten up on touch. Is it normal or its only me getting this? Also screen brightness varies while I use the phone!

I downloaded this ROM and run and error shown as CRC error and can't find System.img in the SDFUSE folder .
Please help and advoise :crying:

I've downloaded this ROM, first I've checked every single thing as version I'm using, Kernel etc and all of them are perfecly equal to the image that them posted as "my device after flashed" but didn't work for me \:
someone has faced this issue to ?
please, support if you can

Just flashed successfully and the phone is also running perfectly.. saw superuser access request on the start

Just go to superuser and hit the unroot button. Only stock kernel is available, no custom kernels around yet.

Hi guys i have found a one click root solution for alcatel OT7041X
What u do is go to this YouTube link http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CUowhS9MvC8
And then u download the second progtamm when downloaded u install and a screen with. A root button. Appears my isseu was that its in chinese but i still tooted my phone succesfully so u click the root button and the programm wil run and give a popup u click the otion on the right side. It wil then install some chinese sueruser like app and reboot what i then did was download superuser from the play store and install when installing SU will ask detect the chinese app and ask u if u want to delete and replace with SU. Click yes and voila ur pop c7 is rooted i hope this will help some of u guys since there is not much to find on this awesome budget highendp phone
If anyone has some tips how i wrote this cause its my first attempt on a post like this...
PS does anyone have or knows about a working custom recovery for this device cuase ive read on other posts that it will brick if u attempt this... Ow yes and before doing all above always makea backups ....

This is my first post here.
I recently bought new LAVA Iris X8.
The phone works splendid and I love it. But I really wish to add more fun to it and install a custom ROM that can make the overall ui super smooth and also improve battery life.
Searched everywhere but could not find any custom rom or recovery for this device.
Please can someone provide me a custom rom.
I am only looking for a smooth ui and improved battery life.

I have built cwm recovery for lava x8 and installed successfully
Also installed PureperformanceX stock 1.4
Will soon post details and cwm recovery soon...

I have rooted my Lava X8 wit h kingoroot
and
Installed CWM recovery using MTK Droid Tools...
Also need to rename file /system/recovery-from-boot.p" so that
CWM recovery is not automatically replaced by system during boot..
Everything is going good right now...
Looking to get Lollipop or some other good custom rom now....

At least someone responded...
Well... You will need your stock recovery.img from your device... Get it using sp flash tools..
Then with mtk droid tools you can make cwm recovery for your phone...
I followed the tutorial on AndroidHow website with article titled "How to Make/Flash CWM Recovery Without Rooting". Just Google it.. You will find it...
Follow all steps and it works...

Yes CWM recovery works fine.. No problem until now...
But PurePerformancesX 1.4 didn't work good.. Instead I felt like phone was overheating...
Then removed it and tried latest FlyOnMod
This works wonderful....

I think the lollipop themed ROM for "intex 8x-1000" created by Tech N You will work but needs to be ported....

how to flash stock ROM on iris x8
I already tried everything. I have a stock ROM of iris x8 which I downloaded from need ROM but SPFT can't flash that stock ROM. Every time I switch off and connect my phone to the computer SPFT won't recognize it . also I was unable to create a stock ROM because of this. I have already rooted my phone but there is a problem with it. Every time I switch it off and turn it on , the root somehow disappears. I don't know what happened. Also my in app purchases won't work. I got frustrated and tried freedom but it won't work either nor lucky patcher will work. ( I checked that in app purchases are not disabled but still they don't work) . I also tried booting in recovery mode and even installed appps from play store to do so but I was unable to boot in recovery mode . I have already tried everything I could and really frustrated. Please provide me the exact steps you can go through to flash a stock ROM for iris x8 . also I would like to if it is possible to install CMW or TWRP in iris x8 .( if yes I would love to know the steps.) please help me.
Regarding the root disappear problem..
That happens because of the "/sysyem/recover-from-boot.p" file..
Just root once.. Use ES explorer to go to system directory and rename that file...
Root with kingroot or iroot...
Pls search before complaining... These problems already have solutions posted here...

I can't flash any ROM , not even CMW recovery because SPFT won't recognize my phone after I connect it in switched off state. Do you have any solution to that...????
Please provide a way to do that. I want to flash the stock ROM after the problem is solved....

In my case the solution which you provide doesn't work at all.
For 1st 2 weeks my root would not disappear even switching on / off but suddenly it started. Then root started to reset within hours.. Also the SUPERSU App was not functioning ( error : su binary not working on device above 4.3.3) :banghead:
I got scared and did a factory reset which solved the problem of root being reset every now and then ( it still resets after I switch it off /on .
But factory resetting brought a whole bag of other problems like in-app-purchase not working and also other apps which require root can't gain it because I can't install SUPERSU anymore ( error: failed to install su binary please restart your device and try again but it won't work even after restart.) ..
So I am stuck with default kingouser app which is not supported by many other applications ....
Can I be facing this problem because of factory resetting my phone without properly unrooting it..:what:

Today I was able to flash the stock ROM after updating the drivers
Also KINGOROOT was unable to root my phone so I found another solution.
There is a rooting app called KINGROOT ( kingroot.net ) . This app has both android app and a PC app. I was able to root my phone easily with their android app.
More interestingly its PC app directly installs CWM recovery. (PC app is only in Chinese :banghead: but the android app is in English.).
You can also search the KINGROOT in xda threads.

I too rooted with the kingroot app from pc( and thats what i suggested above) but it didnt install cwm ..
This is a place where you learn new things..
And the learned ones share thier knowledge..
