This may help Here. Also try forgetting the WiFi network you are on then setting up the network again.

No.. still not working

You probably have to do a factory reset

I did that too. Still same result

I finally (after much trial, error and waiting) have figured out the S-Voice not talking back resolution. If you want to make your S-Voice app talk back to you instead of just receiving a response, simply download SVOX Classic TTS (text to speech.) It will replace the original TTS out that Samsung had set up for S-Voice and replaces it with one of over 40 cool voices you can chose from. Then, just go to settings/language and input/text-to-speech output, and select SVOX Classic TTS. It's that easy! Then open up s-voice after downloading your language/voice type and you're ready for some good convo with S-Voice. Hope this helps!!!! Comment and let me know if it did since I'm pretty new with posting comments here.

Free Wifi Teathering FoxFi

I normally don't report on apps, but this one I have to because it is awesome.
In addition to my new Photon I also have a Sony S tablet and been looking at WiFi tethering, but disappointed at the cost from Sprint.
In doing my research I found this app that allows free WiFi Tethering.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.foxfi&hl=en
I immediately downloaded the app and it works easily and perfectly.
"This app is incompatible with all of your devices."
Gonna give this a try, thanks
edit: this item is not available on your carrier :\

this app rocks!!
Thank you so much for sharing this information! I'm using it right now! My tablets were fine using bluetooth connection but when on the road having to use the usb tether (easytether) for my laptop was such a nuisance.
I tried a another workaround discussed on youtube and it worked for the initial connection but would not connect again, registration blocked. I've had foxfi going for about two hours now, turned it off and on six times and its perfect!
Thanks again!!
Is anyone getting this to work with 4g? Whenever I turn on Foxfi, 4g disconnects and switches over to 3g.

No problem. I love things that save a few bucks.
The only downside is that your phone is gonna drain it's battery a lot faster than normal.

S-Voice: "No weather results, sorry"

Greetings!
This started this evening for me - I ask S-Voice, "What's the weather like outside?" and it spends some time thinking before returning with "No weather results, sorry"
Sometimes it returns with "Network error. Please try again"
When I ask about birthdates of my contacts, mathematical problems, weights and measures conversions and it responds correctly - unless it returns with "Network error. Please try again"
Is this happening to anyone else?
Thanks!
When i ask weather ..it gives same answer.. try using wifi instead of mobile data for avoidin network error
solution ?
Nyone having a solution for this ???
Same thing here. Maybe I need to update to the new software in order for it to work. "My device is version LF9"

I just got my S III today and I am having the same problem also.
Same issue for me too. Was working pretty good a couple of days ago, now - not so good. Tried it on 4g and wifi. No weather results and Network error.
Same here. I guess that is a problem on the server side, not on the client. Hope Samsung fix it soon.
Out of nowhere it's started to work again

Lol, same here. I thought it was a fluke, but it just started working fine for me too.
Awesome ..its working fine now.. it was the problem with galaxy server ..
Yes all good now , you would of thought Samsung would have made it state server update or something so u know it not your phone broken

I'm using Thundershed 1.6 w Zoom Kernel. My Verizon works for me. I downloaded it through GooglePlay. Only thing is it doesn't auto log me in and it comes up with a missing info page when click but you simply click ok and it brings you to the login for the app and works from there. The data widget no long auto updates either. You have to click on it, log in to update it each time. Can use it on 3g/wifi/4g.
Maybe check out google play to see you have the latest version?

You know what I like most about my Note?

I can use Foxfi and leave it on all day while I connect my Nexus 10 to it. And I don't have to worry about battery at all. No way I could have done that with my DNA.

I wonder if Foxfi somehow provides better battery life over the stock hotspot app? Can anybody try a day on both and report back?
I would, but I don't have native tethering because I still have unlimited data.

Hope it works out for you. If not, download PDAnet and see if you can tether it that way. I think it'll work over Bluetooth when you use that and Foxfi together.

The free app "portable WiFi hotspot free" is another way to bypass the activation check for the VZ hotspot.

So, I'm trying to use the Wi-Fi calling but I can't pass after location selection... A message appear saying stop working. Obviously as you can see in the picture I have no signal in this place that I am right now.

Have you tried clear data/cache for apps associated (location, wificalling, etc) to see if issue resolve?

I can understand that. Seeing as how we don't have root yet, I cannot tell you in-depth way around to reset app and wifi calling. Only way I can think is that app has faulty install or something obviously broke in running. For temp, have you restarted the device then tried? How good is location/satellite service (GPS only, battery saver)? If so, I would recommend (sadly) a factory reset and redo the wifi calling. If something still broke and error still persists, then maybe faulty hardware at this point. I had to factory reset first day I got it due to issue with brightness not sensing correctly. Everything works now. Ill keep looking at it but for now, only way is through restriction by phone not root yet.
That's the thing haha to have a solution before I have to FR the device. GPS is good in this area maybe is address...

I know, no root limits answers we can give obviously haha. Try address but I don't think that would cause FC in location query. The app should have just told you no good, not FC. That's why I can see this is frustrating haha. I have no FC and could not reproduce by wrong address and such. Ill keep looking.
Yeah that's exactly how I feel... Frustrated. FC every time when authenticating

Sorry to hear. That's all I got now since no root to edit other files. I'd just try another wifi if you can and see if it happens again. If so, no dice, sounds like FR to resolve only way.
I'll be doing some changes like moving from this area to see if it is the gps or the hardware. The last thing I'll do is the reset tho.

I am wondering the same thing. That notification drives me crazy. I seem to be having issues receiving some calls. For some reason the phone will ring in wifi calling and show who is calling but no one is there one I answer. The other person tells me it rings but then goes straight to voice mail.

It is real annoying when it happens. I shut it off for now because I didn't really need it on. I get pretty good signal but it seems to be in and out at work sometimes so I liked having it on. But it does me no good if almost every call I get does that. I assume they are working out the bugs in it.
-Frank
WiFi calling works fine for me but not for texting. Ill have to retry to send the text a few times before it goes through. Also my mobile signal drops to no bars when WiFi is on, and returns when i turn it off.

Yup. I used wifi calling all day yesterday... It definitely helps when making a call.. But i lose all my bars and cannot receive calls. I confirmed this and had my wife try calling me with different configurations in different parts of the house. I've posted on the sprint forums to see what word I can get on this...
