I found this cool little app that lets you have a cute little slide-out menu so you can go to another app from the app you're currently using. It has favorite apps, recent apps, and all apps lists. You can assign a hotspot on any edge of the screen, so accidental menu opening rarely happens. The icon could use some work, though.

Hi guys.
In fact, you can set favorites in GYF (and you can hide apps, install themes, etc.)

maybe this is a stupid question, but I would like to understand why since I've installed GetJar app on my Nexus One, when I open Dalvik Debug Monitor I see the following process (please take a look at the screenshot).

I've noticed that Getjar runs constantly, even when not in use. That's why I freeze it with Titanium unless I actually need to use it.
Ehm... and did you have any side effect doing so? Is there anyone who can tell us why the hell getjar is always running? I wish it's nothing malicious.

I've had no ill effects. I don't think it's malicious, I just think it's a poorly desgned app and since I use it infrequently I'd prefer for it not to be running contantly.
I think I'll do as you do, I'll freeze the app. Thanks again
Do you have the first version of Cut the Rope 1.0 installed? The one they gave away for free as a 0-day promotion. If I'm not wrong the getjar service is part of the Getjar app market much like an android market service. You can safely uninstall both Getjar app and the service after you install Cut the Rope. Hope this helps.

Here is the Holo launcher Plus App Review.
So the plus version unlocks most of the features of Holo launcher.
The main features you get once you install the plus version are:-
1.Custom Tabs:-
You can now create Custom Tabs in the app drawer.
You can also Edit the existing tabs and rename them to your liking.
2.More Transition Effects:-
Now you can get more transition effects for the app drawer.
3.Unread Notifications count:-
You can get the notifications of unread email(Gmail 4.0.5+),unread SMS and missed calls.
To get the unread notifications,you will need to download and install a free app which is the Holo Notifier(It is free In Google Play Store).
4.More Gestures:-
Now you get more gestures like pinch in,pinch out,double tap and more.
5.1x1 Widgets in Dock.
6.Widgets overlapping Feature.

Looks like your friend installed an app which uses ads for its income. These kinda apps create the shortcuts like "Apps 4 Free!"...
By clicking on these apps the developer of the app gets paid. So just remove the app that you installed just before you start seeing this shortcut.
Btw just deleting the shortcut will be enough.

Xda Members Should not Ask for someone to "click the thanks button" or donate.... you just put shame on yourself.
Poll is at the top of the thread. I've looked at the UWP classes and realised that these two projects are possible. I'm not sure which one I'd like to start first though so I'm leaving it up to you guys to decide. Do you want to see a package installer or app launcher for Windows 10 Mobile first?
P.S. After the app launcher is made, maybe we could replace the start screen completely?
(They will work on Desktops too but these projects make more sense being for phones only).

Background tasks are still super limited though. Even with restricted/special capabilities being used. Sorry it just wouldn't be as good as the one on Android :'(

Hi this is my favourite App! But has adds in it apparently. Not seen any so far but how do i check remove any lines with an editor?.. The Mod versions online reminders dont work.. and the app icon is changed... . I cant seem to see any adds in it anyone good at removing adds in it , be appreciated . Thanks.

It's global. It will block double click ads (not a bad thing), sometimes other mild glitches and may slow browsing down a bit on some sites. Close browser/reopen or refresh the page normally fixes it if it acts up. The very few sites it totally blocks probably should be avoided.
I rarely disable it. Been using it a couple months now.
