How to install eXperience CM Pack?
How to install eXperience Pack on CM9..?
Installation of eXperience Pack is Fast and Simple.
Install Latest CM9.
Download eXperience Pack.zip and transfer to internal memory.
Boot to CWM recovery and Flash eXperience Pack.zip.
You will be entered in AROMA.
Follow instructions.. That's it!!!! :good:
NOTE: Do not select Chrome in AROMA, mistakenly damaged chrome package added. You are informed, do not report Chrome FC.
How to install CM9..?
Flash any Stock .54 FTF (use flashtool).
Let it boot properly.
Download latest CM9 by FXP and transfer to internal memory.
Flash boot.img from CM9 ZIP (use flashtool).
Now boot to CWM recovery.
Wipe Data/Factory Reset + Wipe Dalvik Cache + Wpie Battery Status.
Flash CM9.zip
Repeat Step 6.
Reboot!! CM9 is successfully installed.
Tips and Tricks for CM
Tips and Tricks:
Make eXperience even more smoother and improve battery life.
For those having performance issues:
-> DISABLE AUTOMATIC BRIGHTNESS
-> WIPE CACHE
-> WIPE DALVIK CACHE
-> ENABLE ZRAM (18%)
-> ENABLE PURGING OF ASSETS
-> REBOOT
Also, after installing all the apps you wanted via AROMA:
-> FIX PERMISSIONS via CWM
-> REBOOT
Fixing permissions will make sure there isn't any unwanted FCing.
Charge your Battery to a 100%:
-> WIPE BATTERY STATS
-> REMOVE Charger
-> Use for complete cycle (to nearly 10%)
-> Do not reboot anywhere in between
-> CHARGE to 100% (and give additional 1 hour after that)
-> Enjoy COMPLETE BATTERY CYCLE
This ensures that when your battery shows 5% remaining, it actually IS 5% instead of really being 15%. That's why battery calibration is important. It doesn't improve battery life, but gives you your COMPLETE Battery life.
1)Settings:-
1) Network Settings:-
a]Mobile Network > Network Type Selection> Select 2G (saves battery)
2) Personal Settings:-
a] Personal > Display > Brightness > Turn Auto Brightness Off
c] Personal > Display > Sleep > 30sec is more than enough ( increases battery )
d] Personal > Location Services > Off ( Turn on from toggle when needed... increases battery )
e] Personal > Accounts & sync > Off ( Switch on when needed... increases battery )
3) System Settings To Improve Performance:-
a] Developers Options > User Interface > Force GPU Rendering > ON (increases performance )
b] Developers Options > User Interface > Windows Sale Animations > 0.5x ( reduces lags if present )
c] Developers Options > Apps > Background Process Limit > 3 ( Can use your own number... Gives you more ram other words releases ram)
These above settings will help you increase performance & battery life!!

Kumquat is the correct CM9 for the Xperia U, otherwise flashing the wrong boot.img will boot to a black screen and sit there indefinitely until a battery pull. If you do screw it up and flash the wrong boot.img - like I did - use FlashTool to flash stock .54 and start over.

Locked or unlocked bootloader ?, really guys you should start making threads wih a "locked" or "unlocked" tag so we know beforehand,and avoid spamming the thread with a hundred questions about the same thing.

Lock bootloader means you can't flash any kernel(boot.img) and you just can flash stock based rom.
can u name the fonts in the screenshots plz? especially the screenshots which are in the middle of the group with the comic sans type font.

Installation Instructions :
Transfer the zip file you downloaded above to your internal sdcard (not the external micro SD).
Turn off the phone, then boot into recovery mode. For this, press and hold Menu Button Until CWM screen shows up: Volume Button.
Phone will boot into CWM recovery. Use volume keys to scroll up and down between options and power/home key to select an option.
Perform a wipe:
Select “wipe data/factory reset”. Then select “Yes” on next screen to confirm. (This will not touch your SD cards so don’t worry).
Go to “advanced” and then select “wipe dalvik cache”, then select “Yes” on next screen. Now, go back to main screen of recovery.
Select “mounts and storage”, then select “format system”. Select “Yes” on next screen to confirm. Go back to main recovery menu after system format is complete.
Then, select “install zip from sdcard”, then select “choose zip from sdcard”. Then, browse to the file you transferred to the sdcard in step 2 and select it.
Confirm installation on the next screen by selecting the option ”Yes — Install MooDeD ICS.zip“. The ROM will now start installing.
After installation is complete, select “go back” then select “reboot system now” to reboot the phone.

What can you expect? Well, Basically the sames bugs as Other ROM, and the Full Xperia S user experience, with all their awesome mods.
It's has been tested by my Recognized Tester (afzi.. Etc.... !)
It's Rockstable, nothing more nothing less. It's Blazing fast.
It contains Light apps. If you're missing some apps that are related to Google, go on and flash latest apps. It has now the S Settings, from Xperia S !

How to install CM9..?
Flash any Stock .54 FTF (use flashtool).
Let it boot properly.
Download latest CM9 by FXP and transfer to internal memory.
Flash boot.img from CM9 ZIP (use flashtool).
Now boot to CWM recovery.
Wipe Data/Factory Reset + Wipe Dalvik Cache + Wpie Battery Status.
Flash CM9.zip
Repeat Step 6.
Reboot!! CM9 is successfully installed.

-> FIX PERMISSIONS via CWM

Fixing permissions will make sure there isn't any unwanted FCing.

-> Use for complete cycle (to nearly 10%)
-> Do not reboot anywhere in between
-> CHARGE to 100% (and give additional 1 hour after that)
-> Enjoy COMPLETE BATTERY CYCLE
This ensures that when your battery shows 5% remaining, it actually IS 5% instead of really being 15%. That's why battery calibration is important. It doesn't improve battery life, but gives you your COMPLETE Battery life.

b] Developers Options > User Interface > Windows Sale Animations > 0.5x ( reduces lags if present )
c] Developers Options > Apps > Background Process Limit > 3 ( Can use your own number... Gives you more ram other words releases ram)
These above settings will help you increase performance & battery life!!

Already did it XD performance are amazing but I cannot explain why benchmark still get low results
Ehy guys solved the problem XD try do wype cache after disabled auto brightness and reboot now I get 2810 in quadrant XD

Sorry for inconvenience but I really feel :banghead: more than you when my uploads get failed after 80% done.
I have slow internet connection, maximum upload speed I get is ~40KBs and I can't even express how much problems I face in uploading.
Anyway rom uploaded again.

Some report after a high use of the rom XD
Camera Record very Well, picture take very fast but panorama and photo sphere don't work properly, panorama always say (too fast even i'm stop)
Call very clear and sound is perfect
Messaggin very fast and keyboard never lagging (booth stock keyboard and swiftkey)
Music player work very weel but i'm using poweramp because i purchased it
Album app is the best also with geotagging =)
kernel Tuner working perfectly after update
CM9 file manager is great but still use root explore because purchased
dolphin work very weel i recommand install it XD
Youtube very fast
played Shadowgun and is very fast XD also with minimotor racing and other heavy games =)
Only one problem with whatsapp+, can't use it and can't update =) removed it ^_^

There's a little bug in the Xperia T keyboard in the smiley overview... 5 in a row is too big for the Xperia P...
But the rest is working fine so far, I really like it
after i connect my mobile to pc via usb pc identifimg my mobile like galaxy nexus instead of xperia p
Cannot change icon shortcut on lockscreen. Setting FC like a charm.

That's a requirement for the JB camera. If diferent it will not work.

Would you please like to advance to Jelly Bean because most of the Mods today are only supported in Jelly Bean only.... If you do that in next release, that would be very helpful. By the way this ROM too is awesome! Better than your MiUi ROM!

jelly bean on xperia u sucks badly compared to cm9, so i hope he will keep developing cm9

AFter first boot got 190mb free Ram...
AFter 10min so.. Ram dropped to 80mb..
And goes to 60mb will listening music..
Havent installed anything... not even added google account,, stilll that bad...
launcher is not smooth... fault with wifi icon on status bar..
Needs Heavy Improvement ...

Hey, I'm bout to try your rom with locked bootloader, if it works pretty well and all then can I open a new thread wit hthis rom for locked bootloader users for bugs? Of course the thread will contain every credit and it's only purposes are to separate locked bootloader bugs and unlocked bootloader bugs and make sure locked bootloader users don't spam this thread with locked bootloder bugs.
Edit: It won't contain any download link, all it will contain is a link to this thread to download this rom and a link towards Atis patch thread so people can download both from their respectful owners and threads.

Yes, it does. I haven't found any LB specific bugs.
Use THIS program for the patch, it's pretty easy to use.

Q : After flashing XperianZe ROM my battery life is not good. What can I do?
A: Please charge your battery to 100%, boot your device in ClockworkMod Recovery and go to Advanced ---> Wipe Battery Stats.
Still Problems? Try to deactivate Auto-Sync, 3G Data when you don't use it, and the last thing you can do is, a kernel change // a new battery.
Q : I don't like on screen buttons // the "home, recent apps and back" key on my screen. How to disable it?
A: Go to Settings > Display > Softkeys, press "disable" and reboot. Now you can enjoy fullscreen!
Q : My WiFi doesn't work. What can I do?
A: Flash WiFi Modules for your Kernel. If you are on stock kernel, reflash stock WiFi Modules. If you use Lupus, reflash the kernel and make sure you have a few mb left on the /system partition. If that, doesn't work, reflash the ROM and Check MD5 Sums.
Q : My Mobile Internet doesn't work. What should I do?
Download the APNs for your service provider. (Settings > Xperia > Internet)
Q : I have strange problems nobody ever had. LOL. What can I do?
A: Using the right device? Reflash the ROM. If that doesn't work check the MD5 sums found at the download page with your MD5. Still no sucess? Try different Kernels..

A: Send me the Name and a Logcat of the Error and contact the developer of this app.
Q : I don't have much RAM free. What can I do?
A: Remove Apps which you don't need, and which stay in RAM.. Timescape, Facebook, Whatsapp.. Than your Phone will run.. Like a BOSS.

A: Well, first you should think about what to do if you got problems BEFORE messing up your device. Understood? Good.
If you followed the Instructions correctly you should be able to install it without any problems. If you did NOT, you may get a bootloop/problems, related to the mistake you did.
For restoring your device from bootloop, please restore your CWM Backup, reflash the ROM, OR Reflash Software using Flashtool/Sony Update Service.
Q : When You will release an Update?
A: I won't anwser this Question. Developer Rule: Dont ask for Estimated Time Arrival (ETA) = Don't ask for Updates. Help us to work by reporting bugs and problems to get better updates. Please do NOT ask. I will announce the Update when its ready.

A: Do a Full Wipe and follow the Instructions related to OP. Than you can enjoy this ROM as much as we do. Also, a different Kernel, with more up-to-date sources is recommend.

A: You need a Custom Kernel to Overclock, and for that you need to unlock your bootloader. Here: http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/ you get instructions. Than you can choose any ICS Kernel with OC Support (OC = Overclock). Use No-Frills CPU Control.

@coolancool Even my mango's touch got bricked...... but i have another digitizer as a spare so flashed another rom with the new digitizer and its fine now
i think its a problem with the mango device files.... please change it if possible bro or let people know to change the device specific files if they are using the mango
