[Q] Default weather app for widget - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hello guys.
I have recently upgraded to the verizon jb leak.
Then, i decided to install this launcher:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2055361
A home screen, and circle widget.
But i can't get circle widget to work. It always says "weather app not installed".
Any1 installed this and had this problem also ? Thanks !

You need to copy weather into system/app and set permissions

yesterday i crashed my default rom (after restoring a backup with titanium backup, all i had was ".com.android.phone has ended unexpectedly".
Nothing fixed it - so i switched to JellyRazr (there was some time i was trying to make it work on my phone)
and it was curious - becoz i forgot to clean the rom slot, juust replaced the verizon one with the jellyrazr...and right now it is perfectly working
so i don't use the default launcher again heh...and i'm not planning to

Is there a way to backup/Restore the screen widgets???
.
No, it's an android limitation that widgets and locations can't be backed up and restored, that we hope will be fixed with ics

Not possible to Restore after flashing a new ROM but with Desk Migrate you can copy widgets from this launcher to that.
What about using Titanium backup and back up both the app and the data? It might work

Titanium backup restores the settings but you only get an error loading widget where the widget used to be.

Go Backup & Restore claims to have the feature, but it's buggy and doesn't always work half the time ya get the same "Problem Loading Widget Error" I've tried everything from copying my existing Go Launcher folder to my sd card and restoring it upon new rom install and it only worked one time then never worked again.
And you necroed a 2yr+ old thread to say that, eh (which everybody worked out around the time that thread was created) ?

[Q] Phone wont Boot after uninstalling LauncherPro

Did you have any other launcher installed? You could try ans push any launcher to your system/app folder and see if that changes anything.

Ok will tru this one too.
Dont forget to reboot after that. As the app needs to go trough the bootloader and get installed.

NOTE: If you have problems after copying the Apk to system/app. Set permissions by booting into recovery OR set them directly while the phone is powered on with rom manager then reboot.

xTMFxOffshore, what worked for me is downloading the .apk from link 4, moving it to the system /app folder via root explorer, changing permissions to rw-r--r--, then changing the owner to 0-root and group to 0-root, and renaming the original LatinIME.apk to LatinIME2.apk and renaming the downloaded .apk to LatinIME.apk and rebooting. Hope this works for you. The only difference I saw however is that I wasn't able to find the original back in the same folder.. lol. so back it up like fnztakedown suggested if you wanted to switch back later
Anyone have any screen shots of this keyboard? And thanks Man. I will try that if I decide to go with this keyboard.

Soft Bricked, Please Help

I soft bricked my 4 hour new Razr. Was freezing stuff on Titanium and might have selected something I wasn't supposed to. Now When I boot it up, it just boot loops. What should I do?
Hard factory reset and got it up and past the set up screens, now getting FC's on something about my account, causing the homescreen to be blank and I can't do anything other than pull down the status bar.
You need to root... get a list of your system apps and compare them to a stock Razr (check the system dump) and then adb push /system/app whatever is missing

It's rooted, but I can't access anything. Just stuck on the blank (black) screen with the status bar.
You can still use ADB

Rootcheck says not rooted but rooted features added still remain

I rooted yesterday using this method (which had me rooted in less than 5 minutes, no problems at all)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1819660
Then i decided to purchase ROM toolbox pro to change up the font and other icons. The fonts worked fine but once i tried changing the battery icon it wouldn't change to the new one after boot. Instead it would show the new circular icon (which is the one i wanted) then fade into the battery icon i didnt want. So after trying to change the icon i decided i didnt want to keep it rooted so i used Ginger Unroot. Once it rebooted i noticed that the animation i had changed when it boots was still playing even though i had supposedly unrooted.
I used rootchecker to check if i was still rooted perhaps and its showing that my phone is no longer rooted but the font i had switched to is still there and so is that battery icon, as well as the animation and other icons i had changed.
So now i dont know if my phone is rooted or not and im not able to reroot using the same method as above anymore because during the process it says "device not found".
My question is i guess, what can i do to just go back to stock but still save my apps and data or can i reroot some other way so that the icons can go back to stock and i can start over fresh.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Unrooting wont undo the changes you made when rooted. Unrooting will simply remove root access. What version is your phone?

Did you back up anything prior to changing it?

Not that I can remember. I really just want to be able to change the status bar notifications because they seem unsettled. I get 'ghost' icons alot and have to drag down the bar so they can appear normal again.
