I have recently update my galaxy s2 to jelly bean 4.1.2 official italian and i noticed that clock in lockscreen isn't always update but when i turn screen on by pressing home button i can see old time that suddenly come update. Could anyone explain this behavior. With ice cream i never noticed that.

I'm not 100% on this but I'm guessing its to save battery and its not like it really matters as it changes quickly

Sure, it doesn't matter, but since i have no battery saver activated, it's a bit strange. i don't think it's normal. Maybe someone could find reason and solution..

Hey everyone,
The root is working fantastically. The only issue is that my Honeycomb Launcher always displays a full charging battery in the lower right corner, regardless of the state of my tablet. Is there anything I can do about this? I'd love to actually see how much battery is left.

First thing that I would do is to restart the Nook and see if you get a different reading (the problem may be with the app not updating it's reading). Next, I would install another battery monitoring app to see if the problem is with the launcher or with the nook.

I guess I also forgot to mention this is onlty on the home screen where the honeycomb battery icon is displayed. In all appear and stuff the nooks battery meter is displayed and it shows the charge. Restarting didn't change anything

Haha, well I managed to get it to work by figuring out that by sliding my finger up or down on the homescreen it'll actually display or hide the stock notification bar which shows the accurate battery life
does anyone have issues with the HCL force closing a lot? I have my go launcher ex set up looking kinda similar to HCL. I would much rather have HCL though

First up apologies if I'm breaking any rules but I'm new to this. Anyway, I have an international unlocked version of the S3 and I just got my Jelly Bean update today. While everything seems to be working fine, I've encountered two problems. Firstly, whenever I visit the stock e-mail app the screen seems to go dim very drastically (im on auto-brightness) and I don't remember it being like this during ICS.
Secondly, I've seem to lost my "Vibrate on Screen Tap" option. Which means while I still have my ripple effect available for my lockscreen, I no longer have the vibration to go with it which is something I grew quite fond of. So I was wondering if these are problems specific to my mobile or everybody as well?
I wondered about the exact same thing until I decided to go through all the menu options and discovered that the phone had put itself in power saving mode. Disabled that and screen vibrate is back again

Yea I faced the issues as well. Dsicovered that once you disabled powersaving mode, when you access the email app, it won't dim anymore. Hope Samsung will fix this issue in the next update.

i been having this very annoying problem with my GS3 LTE (9305) but when i compare to other GSIII's it seems only mine behave like this but i cant find any reason or any option for the cause.
Basically the problem is that when i call someone and the phone screen goes to off sometime i want to wake up the screen and press the button below the screen and what my phone does is to minimize the call application but on my friends phone the call application stays and only the screen is turned on.
Can you guys please help me finding the root cause to why my call application minimizes itself when the screen is off?
I been searching for every option there is and cant find anything useful, also i have never installed any other dialer application or anything like that.
Please help me this is getting me nuts.

its a bug in samsung jelly bean roms - chances are your friend is running ice cream sandwich.

I tested on a GSII LTE + GSIII + Note2 and all are running JB and works fine on their phone.
If it is a bug i hope Samsung fixes it soon, its been a while i got an update and this thing is so annoying.

I meant Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean roms... Jkays framework fixes this issue.
If i recall correctly it has something to do with a setting in s-voice I think. Also it happens with any application when the screen turns off.

Yes, this issue isn't unique to the dialler. If you let the screen timeout with any application then press the home key, it returns to the home screen.
The workaround is to make sure than in the S-Voice settings, you have "Open via the home key" option set. After this, a single home key press will wake the device without returning to the home screen.

Sadly that didnt work either. I had actually S Voice disabled but enabled and did what you said but it still minimizes the call application
EDIT: very strange , tested calling 4-5 times and suddenly after my friend called me it started working. I called my other cell before and it works fine now. THANK ALLOT MAN.
EDIT2: funny i tried to disable S-Vice again and to my surprise it stil works.

So I just updated my t-mobile s3 to android 4.3 expecting it to be great... It's not really any different other than a couple icons etc. (well I haven't noticed anyway).
Except I thought I'd give my lock screen a bit of a change, downloaded Go Locker and set it all up, except sometimes when I press my power/home button just to check the clock or something, I find myself waiting for a minute or two because the screen just doesn't do anything!
Several times I've had to restart my phone to make it do something because I got so impatient. I sound pretty ridiculous complainign that sometimes my phone doesn't start for a minute or two, but when I just want a quick look at the time it's ridiculous!
Anybody know if there's any way I can fix this, or is it likely just a bug with go locker and android 4.3?

actually i have that issue too. i just updated my s3 with several 4.3 roms but all of them has lock screen wake up bug. waits a while. i think there is no stable 4.3 rom yet. so i turned back to 4.1.2 again.
by the way i tried other lock screens and still same bug. just wait for a stable 4.3 my friend.

Ah at least it's not just me! I'm on the official release of 4.3 though, OTA.. Would have thought they'd fix something like that before releasing it this far..
Check with the apps developer .
But it does look like 4.3 may be halted in its release by Samsung due to problems .
Ok I have a galaxy note i717. I have 2 problems that are absolutely horrible. One problem is if I recieve a phone call and have certain apps or games either open or were just open, my phone freezes. When I say freeze I mean all I hear is my ringtone, I have no way to answer, and my phone is a paper weight till I power cycle it, once I turn it back on I see no missed calls, and have no idea who called me. The other is I slide to unlock my phone and it is extreemely slow, I press a button and wait an average of about 3-5 seconds before it opens, and every button I push is just as slow, this problem seems random, but I think it has something to do with the other problem. I am right now running black jelly, it is not the rom as all the Jelly Bean Roms have this problem. One solution posted is to revert it to stock ics then have Samsung do the upgrade to Jelly Bean, then reroot it, same problem and did not change. I really want to get a good Jelly Bean rom that works for my i717. I can get any ICS Custom Rom to work correctly, so I will revert it just to get normal functionality, if no one knows how to fix this. This is the last thing I am going to try before reverting back to ICS. Any help is appreciated.

I am not an expert but I would suggest Downgrade to the Stock Rom 2.3.6 and then start from that process.

I may try that, ICS works fine, normally I just try it from there, may try from Gingerbread.

That made it much better I removed my screen saver, and also turned power saver mode off. After I changed that setting the phone worked correctly most of the time. It still runs slow sometimes, but I just turned power saving mode off, so we will see, thanks for the help, the ripple screen lock was doing something bad as it got much better when I removed it.
I tested my phone for a few days, it seems the phone call thing is fixed, thanks for the info about the ripple screen saver. Only problem I currently have is if I forget and leave my game running on a certain screen that is animated and it screen locks, when I unlock and start using the phone it is extreemely slow. A simple restart fixes it, and I am fine with that as my phone actually works correctly most of the time. I was researching the problem and the GPU settings may be the answer, but I have no idea what settings need to be set. One setting is Force GPU rendering ( use 2d hardware acceseration in applications) currently it is turned on. Was thinking also kill all background processes, I really don't know, Anyone out there an expert with GPU or how to finish tweeking my phone.
