[Q] FUSE support in kernels - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Does anyone know what kernels(TW/AOSP) have FUSE support? I am wanting to use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chaos9k.sshfsandroid&hl=en and am unsure what kernels support it...

Question about custom ROMs, ANT+

Im trying to understand why ANT+ does not work on any of the custom ROMS.
Do custom ROMs use different kernels which do not have the drivers for the ANT+ chipset?
Or is it something about Android that lacks the ANT+ support unless provided by SEs ROM?
Does Android as such not come with a kernel and complete ANT+ support, like it would be the case with Linux?
If it would be Linux, you would just need the module and load it, why isn't it that easy with Android?
Same doubt here!
I also have the same quastion. i know that we need to install ANT Radio Service but on any other rom bisedes the oficial SE it does not even run.
ant+ is now working on miniCM7-2.1.3

[Q] Stock ROM OTG support

Hello, I'm trying to use some USB devices with my phone but I can get nothing to work, apart from usb drives.
I'm using stock ICS 4.0.3, so first of all, is USB OTG support enabled for keyboards and mice?
Since the kernel isn't dumping a /proc/config.gz I can't check if it's enabled. Is there another way to check?
Also, is module support enabled for the stock kernel?
Have any of you successfully used USB keyboards and mice, or even better gamepads, with your GS2 on stock ICS? What models?
And finally, since I've been keeping my GS2 pretty much "stock", except from rooting, which custom kernel/rom out there offers most support for USB OTG. I'm especially interested in gamepads.
Also, on a more rhetorical level, why would a company not provide out-of-the-box support for USB OTG? I can understand not giving root access or overclocking capabilities, since those can damage your phone or increase performance, effectively increasing the life expectancy of the product, but why OTG? It's not like samsung produces branded gamepads or mice as accessories so enabling full OTG support would reduce sales or something. Does compiling all those drivers into the kernel increase the image size that much?

This was more of a general talk thread, about the use of OTG on the galaxy, and not a specific question that I wanted answered, but whatever.
Any input?
+1 for USB OTG on Stock ICS 4.0.3
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
+1 to what exactly? Support for OTG? Does this mean that it's currently unsupported?
On a side note, I compiled joydev for the stock kernel ( GT-I9100_ICS_Opensource_Update4 ) but was unable to install it, insmod giving an "exec format error". Apparently this means that the kernel source I used is not the same version as on my phone? Or that the stock kernel does not support modules?
Any dev insight on this?
shamelessly bumping this.

FUSE & MAC & Android custom ROMS

Hi,
I am currently working on a least authority file system for AppArmor based Linux systems (MinorFs). The file-system is an encrypting loopback user space filesystem (FUSE), and it would be interesting if next to OpenSuse and Ubuntu, I could look at targeting a custom Android ROM also.
I am totaly new to the whole custom ROM world, so my apploogies if some of these quesions are FAQs.
I'm not fully sure yet if the concept will work for Android, I'm hoping it will.
I have a few questions that I hope I could get answers to in this forum:
1) Is there any custom ROM that supports fuse and allows for custom built fuse file systems to be added to it?
2) Are there any custom ROMs that next to fuse, also come with AppArmor enabled or the possibility to enable AppArmor?
3) If the question to 1 and/or 2 is no, where should I start if I wanted to customize a custom ROM to support both AppArmor and Fuse?
4) If the answer to 1+2 is yes, what would be the best way to customize and test the ROM using my file-system? Can I use virtualisation software for testing? Or will I have to keep flashing an old phone to do the testing?
5) Ones I'm done with testing, if things work out well, this file-system might, together with AppArmor be a good basis for a security focused custom ROM, is anyone working on custom ROMs that is to have a particular focus on security?

Kernel support for ath9k wifi adapter on surnia

Hi, just a quick question. Would it be possible to add kernel support for ath9k devices (namely tl-wn722n) to surnia's kernel? I've seen people being successful with it on another devices. If it is indeed possible, how to do it?

Question Any chance on an HID Kernel Support?

Well, I am looking for a kernel that supports HID (Or a Kali Nethunter Kernel support) or anything of the sort.
I've realized that the Moto G Play doesn't have a lot going on yet and I don't know if there's a universal kernel or anything?
Sorry, are you saying stock doesn't support OTG keyboards/mice/etc? It's not a problem for me to build missing modules if you need them.
Edit: It seems likely OP wants a kernel with CONFIG_USB_CONFIGFS_F_HID enabled. Seems late now, and there was never any clarification, so meh. Good to know anyway.
