most usefull app ever.. download incompatible without change in build.prop - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

market helper.....
no need to change build.prop..
download incompatible app from play store
root only..
http://codekiem.com/2013/02/13/market-helper/
not available on play store..
side load it

Ouch, it found the apps but I got a msg like "shared library missing" *_*
I choosend the transformer tablet, better to choose the 3G Nexus 7 ?
I'm on Jelly Bean 4.1.2
Thank you!

FINALLYYYYYYYY!!!!!
I reinstalled http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip throught CWM recovery, then
I sideloaded Market Helper http://codekiem.com/2013/02/13/market-helper/
now LESS apps appears in the google market BUT I finally can sideload every app I want from Aptoide / BlackMart and .apk files!
With Market Helper only I got "shared library missing" error!!!
Tested with PayPal, Fake GPS, Grindr, Bancoposta, Viddy and all the other I wasn't abble to install even listed in the market or sideload before.
In Market Helper I choosed Tablet->Transformer T300GT, maybe with another option you don't need to use Aptoide or sl and Market is wider open.
I don't know If I was just lucky, but I would like to share this method with you since I tried thousands of methods and build.prop editing!!!

Updating Non Market Apps

Downloaded an apk pack from the interweb and installed a few apps.
Loaded it up via pc and then clicked on file and it installed. When I go into the market its saying I don't have this app installed? I also installed a game and under settings this appears but not the app?
Is there a way of updating this app as cannot update it via market ? Tried the non paid version of Titanium back up but no use. From searching read Trackdog app. maybe able to do this. Anyone confirm
Is there a way or is the market such it wont let it update?
I was gonna ask same question
I don't think there's any solution for what you are asking. But you can try this: install AppBrain App Market from the market. This app will show all your installed apps, no matter if you installed them straight from the market or other sources. There's an option to sync the apps with AppBrain and if a newer version of your installed apps comes out on the market it will prompt you to update. Obviously, you won't be able to update the apps straight from the market (if they were installed from other sources), but at least you will know there's a new version of the app in the market and then you can try to get the new version from alternate sources. I use this app for Google Plus and some other apps from the market which are not available for my country. This isn't a solution, merely an intermediate step to find out if your apps need to be updated I think Trackdog does exactly the same thing as AppBrain.

Unable to veiw compatible apps on my phone

Hi,
I am from India and I own an android phone of Spice Mi-270.When I use the market app I cannot find many apps which if I visited the market through a web browser are seen.Through the browser if I try to install my phone is detected as "Dolphin Phone" and I get the message as "This app is not compatible with your device".
Installing games or hardware hungry apps, it is understood the phone may not be compatible but softwares like byte tornado, xwind downloader, bestbus route finder being incompatible is hard to digest.
To get this apps I have to request my friends owning Samsung android phones to download and install the apps on their phones and then use the app named "App backup and restore" to backup the app to an apk file. Then they email me the apk file which I install on my phone and it works PERFECTLY FINE !!.
Is there a better way or a free app that can do it for me?

Its because you need to have the google services framework installed too. My suggestion would be to install a new rom (not from china) due to the fact that it probably is a problem with it being from china (china- google problems). If you want you can install the framework and apps manually but that will probably require root access (che k sticky in development section)
Good luck

Uninstalled Play Store by mistake, now can't reinstall it

SOLVED: Look at my answer below.
Hello,
I'm new to this forum so sorry if I put this question in the wrong category. (also, I'm french, I don't speak english very well)
I have a Wiko Lenny running KitKat 4.4.2 (in fact, "WIKO LENNY Version 8") rooted, but I don't have CWM installed.
Yesterday, I installed some apps on my phone and tried using "Lucky Patcher", because I heard that it could remove ads. The website that explained how to use it said to go in Toolbox and to click "Install modded Play Store". So I clicked it, it said "Loading.." and then showed me an error that there wasn't enough space on the /system partition, only 60-70 MB free. So, as it didn't work, I uninstalled Luck Patcher but then I saw that it uninstalled the Play Store. I searched everywhere, it's not in the launcher, not in Settings->Apps, and now when I open any google app, it says that the Google Play Services needs to be updated, that they're not compatible with my device. I tried to download latest Play Store apk from various websites, but when I install it, it loads and then shows "Application not installed".
How can I get the Play Store back ?
Thanks
EDIT: I managed to install the Play Store apk using ADB from Android SDK. But if I try to install an app (or update existing), it crashes and says "Play Store stopped working". Then I need to go to Settings->Apps and to do "Clear data" for Play Store to make it run again (otherwise it crashes at launch).
EDIT 2: After some time, it showed a notification (translated from french) "Couldn't download <insert any app name here> : Couldn't retrieve information from server {error code i dont remember}".
NIL
Solved
I solved my problem by reinstalling Play Store by using ADB, and by setting it as system app with "/system/app mover" by j4velin. Now everything works perfect ^^

Google Play wont download and Media Storage keeps crashing

I use SKK Phoenix+ Tablet.
OS : Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
First of all i downloaded KingRoot Super User, so i root my phone. I used it to remove these system applications that i can't disable and uninstall. The virus installed several Download Manager system app to download some viruses and ads on my phone (which got me on a rampage). I had to remove all of the fake ones until i accidentally removed the original Download Manager that my phone used to download from Google Play and other sources. I downloaded a Download Manager from the internet (same OS and version as the old one) and i tried to test it out by Downloading a random game on Google Play. After several minutes, a pop-up says "android.process.media has stopped" and then Error (942) will pop-out at my Google Play. I can't post a screenshot of it because Media Storage wont work and it wont let me take pictures, download, screenshot or even view Gallery. Does anyone know how to fix this? or maybe provide me a firmware of my tablet? It would be helpful and a big thank to you all
I'm sorry, it's my first time fixing and root this tablet.
Clear ur google play data. This might work or not. And u shouldnt have deleted those stock apps.
