Baby monitor for car - HTC Amaze 4G

My son is special needs and I'm not sure if what I'm looking for exists or is even possible. What I'd like to do is use my rooted amaze's camera to send video directly to my tablet while in the car. Like a video baby monitor. My boy is in a rear facing seat and I would like for both the driver and passenger to be able to keep an eye on him and with the mirror setup we have only the driver can see him.
I have a nexus 7 WiFi only that I would like to use as the screen so the video transmission would have to be over Bluetooth or same network devices. Does anyone know if there is an app that can do this? Is it even possible? Thanks

Only way I am aware of, is you would have to have a data connection on both devices, then create two Skype accounts (or other video calling app similar to Skype) then log in to separate accounts on each device and place a video call.

So I found a workable solution. I got an app called " camera remote" that you can control the camera of one device from another. Both devices need the app and you can link them through WiFi or Bluetooth. It's only 3fps but it does the trick.

Tricking TB to think Front Cam is Main Cam

To me this would be a killer mod for TB. Someone (expert) creating a script to that changes front camera to main camera. If you want to use the back camera, simply select secondary camera. I would think we could start using a lot of the apps out there right now with this mod.
A link one of you experts might find interesting on the subject,

Try Tango in the market. I have used it for video chat and it works fine.
I could probably write a script this weekend for it

Thanks for the support guys! Wireless cam is the main reason I bought the TB. I'm a big e-cig guy and would like to broadcast shows and reviews from remote locations.

This could be done once we get a custom kernel in our hands. Don't know about sooner.
No one has completely confirm it. I was hoping this could be done outside the kernel level.

What would really be nice is a way to link the front cam to a dummy bluetooth, an have it setup to where you press the button on your bluetooth an it takes a picture like a spycam kinda thing. would be awesome at work or just messing with people for fun LOL

I know it's off topic but I had to ask. What model do you primarily use? My main is a Joye eGo with a Super T drip tip. I tried the Ego-T kits, but each atty died within a week of use (i ordered two).
My interest in this mod is not for video calls but for web cam use. Example Droidcam. Wireless web cam.

Hey PC,
Sorry to hear about the ego-t. Been vaping for over a year. Use Cisco low res atty on the Rio Grand bottom feed box mod. Never a problem. My atty is 2 months old.
Thunderbolt and vaping go together like girls on trampolines

used this for thunderbolt to TV? (without DLNA)

Has anyone used this adapter to get their bolt to TV?
http://www.expansys-usa.com/expansys-mhl-microusb-to-hdmi-adapter-black-221378/
saw a review that it worked for the sensation.
To the best of my knowledge, the tbolt does not have any programming or chip to send the video out through the micro usb port. So the piece would not work as it would get no signal from the phone

totally agree with the logic of its native programming to not have such a feature but is it possible for a application to be downloaded that could make one? maybe if its rooted anyways there might be a app.
I know you said no DLNA, bit I've been using skifta and it works great. Check it out. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.skifta.android.app

I don't think my TV has dlna or wifi capabilities. What other options are there to play rented movies from Google videos on my bolt to the television. Don't have an Xbox or PS. Just phone, laptop, TV.
Stumped on this one. Last resort is checking to see if your digital cable provider (if you have one) has an app that will allow
media sharing via their DVR or cable box. I have Verizon FiOS and their app let's me share pics and video through my DVR into my TV. Limited, but it works.

Found the app. It's called "Pocketaudio Headphones" works great. It's over the wifi but works on pc and mac. I'm working on reducing the delay.
Later
Very nice, in the app description there says minor delay can occurs. I'm pretending using it to watch movies. Have you tested it? is the delay acceptable?
Thanks in advance!

Yeah the audio delay is not bad at all but it is there. Perfectly acceptable.

Android beam

Ok so I am trying to send a picture to a Samsung g3 via Android beam and it would send? It sends Internet pages and apps but it wound send a picture... It makes the sound but does not do anything else?
Now when I try to send a pic from the g3 to my phone the g3 makes the nosie and shrinks the pic down and says tab to send.. But once you tap it it acts like it sends but it does not send...
Any ideas?

I don't think NFC can transfer 2mb+ but somebody correct me if ok wrong. It is used to transfer information like contacts, apps, web pages,YouTube links
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Android Beam doesn't send photos via NFC in ICS. That was a feature added in JB. Once we get the Jelly Bean update on our phones, it should work. I think it should work if your phone is running CM10.
Thanks guys.
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
If the item keeps shrinking and does not send, it is usually because the NFC antennas are not lined up correctly. I assume the GS3's NFC is at exactly the middle and ours is about 1/3 down from the top, so remember to pull the Evo LTE down a bit. Android beam seems to send anything Google apps related well, but nothing else (it will just send the receiver to the play store page). The only things that send reliably for me are contacts. Pictures never seem to send well. It just makes the connection sound but doesn't give me an option to send anything.

I wonder if he paired with blutooth first then used NFC? I would like to know how also
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
As far as I know, Android Beam is not capable of transferring large files. It only utilizes the NFC capabilities of the phone, so it is limited to small files, such as webpage links, app links, playlists, etc. The app on the GS3 utilizes the Wi-Fi in conjunction with the NFC to allow for the transfer of large files.
Down load bump from market . Works great . I'm sending things to my girls LG viper running ics as of 2 data ago

basicly what the gs3 does is when u use the NFC to send picture it actually links the phone via WiFi direct and send the file that way.

Any way you could make an app that can replicate what s-beam does on the SIII and note 2? Using android beam to initiate a transfer of files by creating a WiFi direct link to nfc devices that make contact. The EVO has a WiFi direct option but doesn't do anything with it. Maybe you can expand on it?
App for business organization?
Looking for an app for a county-wide chamber of commerce that would allow member and general public to search for members and also offer what nearby to them as they're nearby.

You'd be my hero if you could do this. If you search the market for an app called "The little black book", you'll see a very outdated app that has all kinds of problems because it hasn't been updated in forever. It is the only app on the market that does what it does. If you could create an app similar to the aforementioned app, with similar features and layout, I'd happily pay for it, as would many others, I'm sure. If you need any other info/input, I'd love to help you in any way. Thank you for your time and the generous offer.

Being an Urban Explorer I wanted an app that acts as a toolbox for my explorations. Haven't seen anything Quite like this on the store.
It would be nice to have a main page sorted by exploration locations, and each location tab has the option to add scout photos, voice recordings, a camera based scanner to scan documents, link for maps, journals, etc. I could go into more details... Right now I have to use like 5 different apps or more for this... You could have fun theming it all dark and/or rustic like an abandoned building...
