[Q] How to unlock bootloader? Allowed: NO 12w23 - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi people, after searching a lot, i just wanna make sure there is no way to get this done,
My phone has the bootloader locked, the manufacturation date is 12w23 , and the bootloader unlock status allowed: NO
Is there anyway to unlock my bootloader?
Thanks a lot!
Javier

Maybe a guy with medusa box can do it, there is NO online service that can do it, so don't look. You could take out the sim lock on your official provider (might be cheap or expensive) and then unlock by Sony's official method since it'll say "allowed: yes", but even if you do, you probably don't even have fastboot enabled, so you also need to contact Sony and see if they can enable fastboot after you are done with the simlock

Can i do the sim unlock via davinci after i've unlocked my bootloader? - Yes(ish)

I unlocked my X10 bootloader when it was released, since then i've realised I still had credits in my davinci account, so I thought I'd have a crack at sim unlocking it.
The question I have is, will this brick my device if flash the 2.1 software back, perform the unlock and then flash back to cm7?
Maybe no-one has tried it yet, but I'm looking for a sensible answer with some evidence to back it up.
Cheers ppl
Stu
OK, So yes I can sim unlock it with davinci, But now I'm back to having a locked bootloader which is probably because it rewrote s1_boot in doing the sim unlock.
Soooo, now I can use another network sim which is my main priority as i just switched contracts.
But I'd like to have an unlocked bootloader so i'm not crippled and can go back to FXP and not SE GB.
I know I could unlock the bootloader and not have network access but that defeats the object of having it sim unlocked.
Looking back, There are a few things that would make this a lot easier....
Hi!
I had the same problem.
I was able to unlock bootloader and running Linuxdx+GingerDX.
Then i wanted to unlock my phone, did it with davinci app and worked all just fine, but after trying unlock my bootloader again the sime network crashes.
I have tried both choices on my phone both semc unlock and seetool unlock.
The same problem.
Only way to rescue my bricked phone is to make a "new" unlock again.
Now i have paid a unlock a couple of times so i dont dare to try unlock bootloader again.
Well i really like LinuxDX+GingerDX.
I beleuve that i am stock with STOCK kernel and GingerDX until a solution is here...

[Q] Bootloader/Sim unlock via Wotan Server

I want to unlock my bootloader(SK17i), but in service menu it tells me Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No.
So I assume this is due to the Simlock.
Now I wanted to ask if it is enough to go to any Phoneshop to get an unlockcode for my carrier and afterwards it will be possible to unlock bootloader via S1tool/SE?
Or do I have to use a service like Wotan Server?
If so, can you please explain which service exactly I have to use or what it will cost?
Thx a lot in advance
Use wotan server.. It will unlock your phone and bootloader, no need to use s1tool after that..

yeah I knew that, I just wanted to ask if it has the same effect if I just sim unlock my phone ;D
cause I don't have a paypal acc. and CCs are also not that wide spread in austria...
So if its possible to just sim unlock the phone and do the rest via testpoint mehtod, I would prefer that^^
Carrier unlock doesn't enable fastboot, which is needed for bootloader.
OK thank you, that's what I wanted to know
So Wotan Server is my only possibility to unlock the bootloader, isn't it?
Edit: Just to be clear. Do I have to use the first or the second option?

You can unlock the phone on your operator and then you can use s1tool..

Xperia S hard locked

My Xperia S gets Hard Locked as My Bro enters Wrong Network unlock code so many times...anyone help me i also purchase an unlock code for it but it doesnt work it says "couldnt unlock network"...HELP ME PLEASE:crying::crying::crying:
I'm not really sure as it has never happened to me, but I just found a thread on the Arc S forum where someone has the same problem. What they suggest is that, is your bootloader can be unlocked, then you can do that and that way it will not be hardlocked anymore. However... if you needed to use an unlock code in the first place, then you probably can't. In that case, i think you're out of look, sorry .

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact - Locked Bootloader ???

Hi XDA
I recently acquired a Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, but it seems that the bootloader cannot be unlocked (even after grabbing the code from Sony)
it says that the command isn't allowed, then I saw a post on a forum saying that not every bootloader can be unlocked.
I was wondering, since I have a unlockable* bootloader (which I assume there are ways to unlock it, because lets face it.. is there anything out there thats "locked" and hasn't been cracked into?
Anywho.
I have been to EVERY single "Phone repair / unlock" shop in my town, and none of them know what a bootloader is. So I decided to see if anyone here has managed to unlock their locked* bootloader.
If anyone can shed any light on this, it would be great.
Thank you.

It keeps saying I need to unlock the bootloader but it says when I try
"FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)"
This is what I mean.. I can't unlock my bootloader.
Unless I'm missing something?
Anyone?
Have you tried with SONY?
Perhaps the easier solution is to start from SONY itself....

Guys.. it says "Bootloader unlock allowed: No"
Which means I can't use an official way to unlock the bootloader, what I need to know is if theres a different way I can unlock the bootloader. By flashing firmware, a different bootloader or any special utility to unlock the bootloader. Thanks
bump
Anyone able to shed light on this? I really don't wanna have to sell the phone due to the bootloader being locked..
Especially not after scoring 43,000 in Antutu
are there such thing as a custom FTF file I could flash with a locked bootloader?

Bootloader not allowed

Okay, so I'm guessing this is a question that gets asked a lot, but honestly I couldn't really find a definite answer, so i figured I'd just ask.
I recently got an XZ1. The Model number in the service menu is G8341, if that matters. And in the configuration tab, it says "Bootloader unlock allowed: No". I'm guessing this is a block that Sony put on there for whatever reason. Is there any way at all to circumvent/fix this and unlock the bootloader anyway so I can root my device and install a different ROM? Cause if not, I'm gonna send it back.
Thanks in advance.
I think it's not worth rummaging in the phone system. The consequences can be deplorable and the benefit is small. That's why I advise you not to change anything. Not worth it.

If it says 'unlock allowed: no' its not possible to unlock the bootloader. Is it a carrier branded phone?

Bootlock allowed=No phones are contract phones from providers. They don't want the hassle of "waa, I unlocked my phone and now it's broke" so they just disable it.
There is no way round it.
