Bluetooth wont turn on CM10 epinter - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Been using Epinter Jellybean rom on my Atrix 4G and everthing works well except for Bluetooth.
Basically it will just not turn on and the little on/off bar stays grey and will not go blue. I tried a fix for a Samsung Galaxy (replaced Bluetooth apk) and this then made the slider stay in the on position but not turn blue.
With this in mind I think there is an issue with the original apk and the replaced apk just wont work on the atrix.
My Q is-Does anyone know a fix for this or does anyone have a fixed apk with instructions etc
Thanks

Are you sure you are on 10.0? BT works fine for me. It is not working on 10.1 yet but he is working on it. Fingers crossed.

Why don't you use BSB Tweaks.
You can download it from the bleow link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589305
It works for me
Thanks
BsbTweaks works well for me. But I had a little trouble getting it to work consistently with my SpbMobileShell. If by chance you are running that instead of Sense you might want to look at this thread
With the SpbMobileShell cab by mamv and BsbTweaks working together the autorotation works very, very well.

Screen record

Ive always used screen cast in the past which worked fine but on the jelly bean ROMs the video just becomes a garbled mess of static. Anyone have a different app that they know is working?

Even if you go into menus or apps? That's when mine starts looking like a 1960's television.
Would you mind posting your screencast settings and rom? I'm on cm10 nightly
This is what I get when I open a menu, drawer or app. Tried every setting and no joy.
.....edit. I can't upload a picture because the xda app sucks balls and keeps telling me to upgrade when I have the latest version
Update: it seems to run better right after a restart before any apps are opened but still goes nuts if you try and open the drawer.

It worked fine for me in Jelly Bean as long as I turned off hardware overlays in system dev settings.

Static (hardware) keys dont light up sometimes. Help.

I'm running Mazdas AOKP 3.0 and ive noticed that on some AOSP ROMs sometimes the harware keys (home, menu, etc.) Dont light up. When I firsf flash rom they work fine but after a while they dont turn on most of the time. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure why they stop working with that ROM, but here's a post with a manual way to adjust the brightness.
ramjet73
So I gave it a try and it worked but it didn't. The lights turn on but now they wont turn off even when screen locks unless I reboot and then I have to edit again. So Ill keep searching. Thanks though man its better than it was...

Things to know about 4.2.1

Now that a version (or two, or three) of 4.2.1 has hit the i717, I'd thought that I'd share at least one finding that, whilst known amongst those already in possession of devices running 4.2+ ROMs, might have gone un-noticed by those only just receiving the update.
For me, the almost deal-breaker is that Google has removed access to Airplane Mode to third-party apps, effectively neutering scheduling apps for me.
Fortunately, Tasker can communicate with Secure Settings (both link to Play Store), to access the now restricted features, (You will need to install the helper from within Secure Settings also)
Are there any other features that Google have removed or otherwise altered which we should be aware of before installing a 4.2.1 ROM?

Car Home and Dock apps no longer can take the Home button intent, so even if you sideload Car Home (or other similar apps in the market) when they're running and you hit Home, you get your launcher, not Car Home.

This thread isn't about ROM-specific bugs, it's about Android functionality.
I'm running one of the CM10.1 ROMs and I love it, but is there an easy way (maybe a setting I missed) to get the dual panel Email? I had it in Gubment Cheeze and I loved it. Thanks in advance.
Anyone use a Bluetooth mouse? Mine was working in 4.1.2 but now has trouble connecting in 4.2.1. Is this possibly related to the Bluetooth fixes in 4.2.2?

I think so my bluetooth freezes at times and gets stuck turning on but never does and I have to reboot to get it to work
LED Flash light
I added a LED flash light widget to the lockscreen the first time and device reboots.
I test the flash light from widget on the lockscreen: it doesn't work for any options (bright light or strobe).
Light toggle in the notification drawer does work.

That was around in 4.1.2. IMO it's annoying to have two taps to go to open a file in one app for one instance only.
JB 4.2.x is a step BACK from 4.1.2 in my humble opinion. After reading a ton of problems with 4.2.x on the Nexus 7 forum, I am staying from updating.
There is a school of thought that basically calls out google for releasing a half-baked Jelly Bean updates with the 4.2.x series.

I think there's a problem with bluetooth HID. I'm running Jamie's CM10.1 preview and I get a bunch of uhid not found errors in logcat when trying to associate with my Motorola Bluetooth Keyboard. It won't stay paired so it seems that HID is broken in 4.2.x (This keyboard did work in 4.1.2 AOKP)

I started using an app called flashlight LED genius and there is an option that allows you to shake the phone while at the lock screen to enable the flashlight. Then to turn off you simply shake again, you can set sensitivity settings and duration in case it gets turned on accidentally. I have had no issues with it accidentally turning on as of yet. Works surprisingly well.
Wow thanks for that app. useful

That is a great app, thanks.
I still wish someone would built it into a rom or flashable add-on that would all you to long press or double-tap the home button from the lock screen to activate the camera.
Check out my tutorial on the Tmo section. Will work for you too. Use the volume up to turn on flashlight.

You mean Nottach's mod? That most probably takes this function over. Now that's the trick is discovered, perhaps you can request he adds it to an update.

I actually own Nova Prime so I was excited to try this but alas it doesn't work. I'm on stock, rooted TW ROM with Nova Prime of course. No other mods, frameworks or kernels installed. Not sure why it doesn't want to work for me. Anyone else get it going?

Weird. Well if you guys are using Nottach's Xposed mod, he will build it in with his next update v10, and can map it to your home button.

Shake on lockscreen option works fine for a while, then stops. Problem is noted in the app description in the Play Store but no ETA on a fix is mentioned. Too bad, when it works it's nice.
Anyone know of another flashlight app that can be reliably activated from the lock screen?

I use the DashClock lockscreen widget with the DashLight extension, seems to work pretty good for me
Using an app called Torchie, just press both 'volume buttons' together to turn on/off torch anytime. It runs as a background service and just works anytime, even when screen off (if enabled from Torchie Settings). It kinda make your phone feel like a conventional battery operated torch. No root required.
