[Q] Neo V Unlocking bootloader problem - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hi, I'm trying to unlock the bootloader on my Neo V following the official guide from sony's website but at step 13 when it says that I have to point to the driver manually the computers seem unable to find the drivers
Do you have any solution?

Yep you have to download the adb drivers and manually install them..
Head into the dev section in the noob thread for unlocking the bootloader, there you'll find the drivers!

thank you very much!

If you have difficulty In adding the drivers Go to to fastboot mode.. and later go to control panel>device manager There you find the yellow mark for the device.. there choose your driver folder

you trying to flash a kernel?? then download and install flashtool here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351309 and then install the drivers located in the flashtool/drivers folder.
Fastboot works over ADB(Android Debug Bridge).
Fastboot is only an app, you will need ADB drivers.
If I am not wrong, you will get the drivers by installing Android SDK.
Hey, how do you install drivers you provided?

Need Help in Unlocking bootloader via official method, fastboot driver problem

i decided to unlock bl via official method
i follow every steps and instruction given by the sony website

Have you set up Android SDK? That's necessary! And install the drivers provided in flashtool (flashtool installation folder>drivers).
Just check out my signature, there's a tutorial with pictures based on the sony guide, for unlocking the bootloader

[Q] Problems when trying to unlock my Neo V Bootloader

Hey guys, i`m trying to unlock my Neo V bootloader, following Sony Ericsson`s intructions: http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions
But i`m stuck on step 15:
15- Enter fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version, and verify that you get a response back (for example "0.3"). This means your phone is connected properly.
Click to collapse
When I do this, a "waiting for device" message appears, and nothing happens.
What do you guys is happening? A blue light appears on the Neo, so it seems it`s already on the correct mode...
Is your phone SIM locked?
type '*#*#7378423#*#*' in dialer and go to service info->configuration
what does it says under rooting status?
It says Bootloader unlock allowed: yes

I'm trying to install the drivers, but it seems that`s exactly the problem, windows doesn`t find it when searching online and the drivers provided by SE don`t install correctly, i select its folder and windows says no drivers were found...

Not sure, but download flashtool from the sticky threads in the dev section and use those drivers. They are in a folder in flashtool
Both links on the official site seems to require a premium account, do you know somewhere else to download it?
EDIT: Got the download, just have to wait now, lets hope it works...
download latest flashtool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
install flashtool, install drivers from drivers folder (inside flashtool folder)
start flashtool
turn off phone
hold menu key and connect cable, post the log
EDIT: lol that's what happen when you have opened few tabs and you post after some time you miss few posts gregbradley was faster
btw. both links can be used free, no premium account needed
Yeaah, it seems it worked! If those drivers are needed, why doesn`t SE post them on their official unlocking guide? This is so strange...
And now, what do I have to do to install a custom ROM?

Goto the OP (Opening page or first post) in the thread of the ROM you want to flash and follow the instructions.
More detailed instructions are in the sticky threads.
To choose which rom you want, read the features/changelog of the roms and decide yourself.
You could even try each one for a day or two untill you decide which one to have has your main rom.
Do I have to use the Flash Tool?
When I try to open it (the one you provided the download link), I get this error:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: gui.FlasherGUI

Hmm, make sure your PC is fully updates and java is installed and updated...
But you dont need flashtool to flash roms, just use recovery.

Yes, please tell us how you solved this problem. I have the same issue. Windows does not recognise the .inf file in the mentioned path as the driver. If I right click on the .inf file and select 'Install' it returns an error saying 'does not support this method of installation'.

In yur pc while the phone
Is connected on fastboot

You need to install fastboot drivers. When you are in fastboot you need to go 'device manager' or something like that on PC. Find android and use update drivers bottom option (install manualy) and point where your fastboot drivers are.

Drivers for Windows 10

Hello!
I know this must be a stupid question but couldn't find the solution!
I was trying to unlock the bootloader but it looks like the phone is not recognized by the system (adb devices find it correctly but when I give the "fastboot flashing unlock" command, it will wait for the device indefinitely).
The phone is not recognized in Control Panel -> System -> Devices (it has the yellow triangle warning) so I tried installing the official Xiaomi USB Drivers (downloaded xiaomi_usb_drivers.rar from the official xiaomi website) but it would not succeed.
So what drivers should I install? And where to find them?
Thank you

Can you point me to it? I've googled but there are different things and softwares named pdanet, so I'm not sure which one is the correct one.
