BlueJacking and WPA cracking - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay, so I'm sorta new here...
Anyways I wanted to know what similar programs are there for Androids that are similar to aircrack-ng.
Also are there any good blue snarfing or blue bugging apps?
I'm wanting to know this because I don't feel like trying to install BT on my tablet -.-
Anyways sorry for the Low Quality post and thank you for reading.

these cpus can't handle cracking wpa or anything like that.

killer apps? games?

Anyone got any suggestions of good apps/games for the wallaby? Googling sends me to warez sites mainly. Im liking my resurrected wallaby, so may as well make the most out of it. So far only installed a battery indicator for the today screen, microsoft links, TCPMP? and mame. I'd like to get the Amiga emulator working, it seemed to only boot once though. Any suggestions would be great
if you want more use google thats how i got these

Yep, googled as per 1st post. question is what are ppls opinions on good apps/games,,
like with pc programs it really depend on what people use their device for
a doctor may have usage for different applications then a businessman
and a young gamer may like different applications then an senior citizen
maybe you can find something here

[Q] Samsung Vibrant GPS Innacurate?

Seasoned Samsung Vibrant users,
I just got today Sept 30th my Samsung Vibrant, I hope that this GPS problem that I have it's just SOFTWARE and not HARDWARE problem and you may tell me with your experience / suggestions what this is about.
Before the Samsung Vibrant, I was using a HTC Mytouch 3g slide, the GPS on my slide has been very accurate, what I can tell you is that from my bedroom My slide detects properly my home address using Google maps, with Samsung Vibrant usually gives me an innacurate location using Google Maps as well.
I have turned ON the wireless and the GPS on Samsung Vibrant as I did the same with my htc slide and on Samsung Vibrant gives me around 40 to 50 meters difference with a wrong location,
I don't want to use WIFI because it’s not the case, why on my HTC Mytouch 3g slide I don't need WIFI also I won’t have WIFI everywhere where I go, so I want that the Samsung vibrant works at least the same or better than a HTC phone GPS hardware.
so my question Is that a hardware problem or software issue?
My HTC Mytouch 3g slide never fails where I'm in my bedroom or other place where I go and test it and this Samsung is getting me out of my nerves that isn't accurate at all.
HARDWARE or SOFTWARE problem?
If it is software I will wait, but if it is hardware, I’ll be very disappointed.
Thanks I really appreciate your answer about this issue,
I have 14 days to test it and if I'm not happy with it I can return it depending what this problem is.
OMG please use the search function.
It IS a software issue... vibrant is well knows for its gps to be messed up.. the new 2.2 is coming out in approx a month and it will have a gps fix and also make ur phone faster plus alot of other things

I have been trying to refrain from jumping on people for stupid posts, BUT ...
The gps issue has been an issue with the Vibrant since day one, and there are most likely hundreds of threads on it already ....
I know it is a little scary but that search box does not bite ...
Hell a google search of "Samsung Vibrant GPS" should tell you all you need to know ..
Come on people use some common sense and search first, at least pretend to search for the sanity of the rest of us ...

ROTFLMAO! Too True!
Oh no, my Vibrant might be messed up????
Really??
Welcome to the real world!
Been bad since day one.
Wow, everyone is being kinda douchy here. All you have to do is root your phone with one of the many methods, install clockwork recovery and flash either the JI2 GPS fix or this one which is the same thing but uses the JI5 files instead http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=796654 Good luck.

Douchy? Douchy , not sure what that means but I am sure it applies to ones who do not search or, fail to see that this question/answer is in about 100 other threads.
NO problem helping people, but you can really only help those who help themselves ...

No i agree with you. I dont think I ever post questions here. I usually use my friend google and figure it out myself HOWEVER I also remember when i first got my very first android phone "G1" and was soooo lost at where to even begin. To the OP... they are right, you can find most anything by searching. I guess I only said that because some people just get plain rude. Not necessarily talking about you watcher64. Your post wasnt bad, just didn't really give any answer.

No offense taken , I just remember the old days of the forum, where this was a place to come learn, not to have the answers handed to you.
Seems everyone is looking for the quick fix these days, and really do not want to learn what they are doing or HOW it is actually done, then yell and scream at the people who help them that they broke their phone ...
EDIT:
Just to clarify I was on here almost 2 years before I asked more than a handful of questions, because 99% of the answers could be found by reading and searching, so it does get annoying that so many people want spoon fed these days.
It took you longer to write about your problems than it takes to search .

I love anything that starts with, "All you have to do is..."
Like all the other supposed GPS fixes out there, these don't necessarily work either.

I would agree with you some fixes seem to work for some people , other for others, but they do work, it is just a matter of finding the one that works for you ...
If none work, then may be time to exchange the phone for a new one ...
Yeah some ppl take things Way too seriously of some posts duplicate threads get over it. Everyone is not familiar with this stuff damn we have all been there. No need to sit there and put someone down for not knowing

There is a big difference between not knowing, and "NOT EVEN TRYING", that is the biggest complaint ...
How do you think most of us here got the knowledge we do have, we looked it up, if you work a little for something, you will tend to remember it in the future...
This is a place for Development, and Education , not hand outs, never has been, and should never be taken as so ....
But I digress, you are right why should anybody here give a damn ....
OH because if nobody gave a damn, the people that get ask the questions would not know the answer either ....
No you speak the truth ppl should research, I had an off day when I posted sry if I sounded like a jerk. I do plenty of research on my own b4 doing anything to my phone, and if I brick it I have no one else to blame but myself. For example I have been researching the whole flashing with odin on my spare time, which isn't much still haven't got comfortable enough to try though. I just felt like the guy was getting slapped around a bit too much that's all.

[Q] bluetooth pairing issue

Anyone out explain the issue with the bluetooth pairing on this thing. I've tried to pair a couple different phones but no cigar. I looked all over this forum to see if there was a fix but haven't seen a solution only other complaints. When I flash to a new ROM will that fix the poblem? If not how? What did you guys do?
Are you trying to use stock rom? Most people here have no idea how stock rom performs with most functions.
You might want to visit my page gtab for dummies.
Awesome website!
I checked out your web site earlier today from the reply you gave me last night on some other stuff. I can't tell you enough how appreciated this site is. I read every last word of each section and have a much better understanding. I would like to have a better understanding of each ROM. Like what would make me choose one over another? They have to be reasons to pick one over another. What does one do that the others don't? On your web site a brief description of each one could help us dummies know which one would serve our needs better. It's just an idea that could cut down on future questions. I love the site and will be visiting often. Thanks for all of that effort GoodIntentions!
Good idea.
Pros and cons
I thought about this a bit more. Maybe a list of the pros and cons for each ROM could help. If I knew the down side for each ROM it would definitely push me in one direction or another.
I agree with the Pros and Cons idea, I'm in the process of trying to work one up, but alas its seems my knowledge has become slightly outdated don't you hate that? Running CM7, I've got lots of cons but compared to what I had before I stuck with it. Switching to VeganTab I'll let you know how that goes but I'm thinking it may be a permanent switch.
I've never had any trouble pairing with my phone with the roms I tried. Make sure your gtab is visible.

Intent filters

Ok so i used to be a very experienced actionscript user. But i recently wanted to get back into programming so im learning java now or rather trying to.
So im trying to understand the xml side of this so far and have some questions im hoping u guys can answer.
activities
So as i understand it an activity is a screen in an app. So for example the standard launcher on my phone has pages of apps on my main screens. Each one of those would be an activity? And then another activity for when i press the button to display all installed apps?
Have i understood that properly?
intent filters
This is where im getting confused. Ive googled it and read as much as i can find. As i read it, feel like someones explaining rocket science to a 5 year old.
The words component and instances is being thrown around enough that i got no clue whats even being said. What i have understood is it gives data to the activity.
So a best guess from my partwould be its telling it how the screens going to work or maybe like if theres going to be a button on it maybe. Or perhaps it means something different like just the properties sort of stuff like screen size or stuff of that nature.
As u guys can probably tell im confused beyond comprehension. I got no idea how good my grasp is of any of this. But if theres someone out there kind enough to dumb it down a bit so normal people can understand it. Id be very gratefull
Can nobody help me?
Hmm this is pretty basic i would of thought. Surprised its so hard to find anyone who can help answer my question

Unburried one of those; what can I do with it?

Hello!
While helping a neighbour sort through their old tech stuff to determine what to keep and what to throw, I ended up with this phone in my hand and decided to take it home to see if it works. Well, it's charging right now and seems pretty lively doing so.
Naturally I looked for custom ROMs and stuff to see what it can do for me still. And I see a lot of RUS ROMs. Does this just mean they are of russian language or something else?
Since it's wifi is actually b/g/n, it should still be able to connect to my AP, meaning I could bring it online. Which is pretty neat
So yeah... What kinda things can I still do with it? WP7 ought to be discontinued, deprecated and pretty much forgotten by now... xD
Any pointer is much welcome!
Kind regards,
Ingwie
