[Q] Huge battery drain issue- JB XWLS8 - need help! - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I had been using the leaked JB 4.1.2 XXLSJ happily till weeks back I updated to the first Samsung official JB 4.1.2 XWLS8 which drains out may battery on a terrible measure while operating (WiFi, Youtubing etc etc which was a lot better within LSJ in terms of battery performance).
Anyone else face the same?? Any solutions around without going back to LSJ again?
Current:
GT I9100

LSJ rocked, true.
Go back, read the LSD threads, learn how to get the most of the battery and then flash back to the new official JB era.

[Q] Galaxy S2 No micro on SipPhone ICS ROM Ressurection Remix

Hi everyone,
I'm creating this thread, because I'm in need of some help with my galaxy s2 phone.
I have instaled Ressurection Remix ICS room.
Model: GT-I9100
Version Android: 4.0.4
Base: I9100XXLPQ
Kernel Version: [email protected] )
#72 SMP PREEMPT Mon Apr 9 05:26:57 EEST 2012
Compilacion Number: v32-11.04-remix-edition
Mod version: ressurection remix ics v1.4 by westcrip 4.0.4
So, now the problem:
I installed already diferent sip phones, CSipSimple,Linphone, Sipdroid. But in all I have the same problem, I can register, I can reveice and make calls, but the audio from my phone to outside is not working. It seams that micro is not working.
I already read some threads and found some info in CSipSimple, about to change the source of micro.
I already tested it a lot of times, and changed to a lot of diferente sources. But currently it stills not working.
Can anyone give me a hand on this?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Buhl3r

[Q] Is it safe to flash rom

Due to the brick bug on my device shown by eMMC app, is it safe to flash an CM10 nightly rom onto it through clockworkmod. I first flashed a siya v5.0.1 kernel on my s2 using odin, ran smoothly, then applied the helly bean custom Rom and everything is running smoothly. But my kernel has changed and the eMMC app is still saying that I have a insane chip.
Details:
i9100
android version: 4.1.2
Baseband: I9100XXLQ6
Kernel: 3.0.15-CM-g39df795 [email protected] #1 Thu Nov 15 16:37:09 CET 2012
CyanogenMod Version: helly_bean_i9100
Build Number: cm_i9100-userdebug 4.1.2 JZO54K eng.dominik 20121115.152944 test-keys
I am still a beginner and really worried that if i don't have the right mod or kernel I will brick my s2...
Any advice,
Thanks!
Yes. Unless you're running an affected kernel & plan on doing a wipe, forget about the brick bug. It's been done to death/blown out of all proportion. No need to worry about it if you're careful/do your research.

It is safe if You use safe kernel, latest releases are safe but always do you reading b4 flashing anything. See changelog and relase info of a kernel developer. Usually it is written there if the kernel is brick bug safe.

Cyanogenmod 10.1 (CM 10.1) is based on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 is available from Pershoot. Also available is Carbon Mackay ROM which is a hybrid of CM10.1, Infamous ROM and Paranoid ROM all based on the same JB 4.2.2. Besides the two already stated are the two implied: Infamous and Paranoid which are AOKP based while CM10.1 is AOSP based. From this you can conclude that carbon Mackay is actually a blend of the two ROM projects. Test them and pick whichever serves you best.
Cheers.
