BS, You simply want spoon feeding.
You have already been told to use Siyah kernel. Plus its made extremely clear in all the other silly "how do I root" topics.

He tried things like that, but he has detailed questions also like exactly which firmware he should use. So I wrote him a message so I can tell him exactly what to do and how to do it. Some people like him just want to jump straight into it, and that's what I did. So I know how he feels, and I'm gonna help him out

Alright, what happens when 145 users want the step by step guide?
You're gonna PM em all? That's a lot of PM....
How about this..there's like 500+ posts about gow to flash siyah kernel, why not guiding him to read one of those by using this magic word: SEARCH.

Yea I know, I'm just trying to do a favor for him. He seems like he wants to know every detail before he starts, and even when he learns what things are, he will still be afraid to root the phone. So I just wanted him to get all his questions answered over pm by me so he feels more comfortable and knows its not going to get bricked. I can't do this for everyone, and I know that. Its just something I feel like doing?

1st question. why wouldnt you follow the rules and make a nandroid backup? because if you did, you wouldnt be having this issue.
2nd question. why wouldnt you give the necessary information as to what you flashed and from where?
its almost impossible to help you out when you give no information. you also havent bricked your phone if you can turn it on still.
This is what happens when you put the cart before the horse.
More info on what you did so we can:

No, that won't work.
The rules of XDA are clear - Search before posting, never post before reading the FAQ.
Not flashing anything until you have done research is just plain common sense.
How to flash I9100 firmwares, and WHICH ones can be flashed, is covered in the FAQ topic. The original poster CLEARLY did not read the FAQ.
Assuming that you're still on the ICS ROM......it depends on what exactly you flashed but this could be the solution. Flash the correct modified kernel based on what base ICS ROM you flashed(if you don't know then look at settings->about phone). You will then need to flash a correct i777 modem as well(depends if it is Samsung or AOSP based). Without knowing more about what you flashed I can't really help you further.

Dont know what you're talking about, I cant ban people. If a person gets enough infractions then the higher ups ban people because they cant follow the rules. All infractions are looked at then double looked at, so if your friend got banned, then he deserved it.

I think you have the wrong attitude here. Yes, it's good to help people that KNOW how to help themselves. But when they blatantly ignore all the help already available they become more of a nuisance than any real development of this forum. I'm sorry If that seems a bit harsh. But this place was not started to spoon feed people that don't know what they are doing. It's been stated time and time again. This is NOT a help desk forum. Like the majority of us, we were excited when we got out SIII's however all the information you need is contained with the SIII walls on this particular corner of XDA. What people are suggesting is you take a look for yourself first and have a read of all things before asking such a question as the answer is but a quick look around.
So, instead of spoon feeding, go for a wander and have a look. You will be amazed at all the info there.

As Mr Tuff said......we at XDA are here to serve you and all your smartphone needs. please put your phone into download mode open Odin and click repartition and add any random .Tar file ( jellybean will be in there somewhere, have faith ) then click start.
now once you do this you will need to send your phone off to a repair shop where they will activate your newely installed JB build on your phone.
then just wait.........
Hope this helps......................................Probably will not though, lol

If you can't follow those excellent HOWTOs & FAQs you surely DON'T want to flash your phone. If you have a specific question, ask in the thread about flashing and installing. This here won't help you a bit.

Ya, I agree with this.
Op, just enjoy your phone for now the way it is, the JB leaks are not for people with little experience in these matters.
Hang around xda for a while and learn how things work here, learn why making these threads is frowned upon, read through the JB threads, learn from them.
Then, when you feel comfortable enough to flash it on your own, you are ready to give it a go.

Reasons:
1. Different firmwares have different language packs and CSCs.
2. Some firmwares are carrier branded and for carrier locked phones.
3. There are different variants of the Galaxy S2.

Check the build date and change log.
The simple fact that one ROM is released after another doesn't guarantee that's gonna perform better.
Some regions also contain different modems and sh*t.
Nordic works well, Netherlands is alright I guess. Everyone is waiting for the unbranded UK. It's almost always the samsung's 'refined' release.

Last weekend I installed the JellyBAM ROM v7.6.2. Today, I decided to try overclocking. Following the galaxys2root guide, I downloaded and flashed the Zedomax OC Kernel using CWM Recovery. It was all going smoothly untill the reboot. It's stuck on the main boot screen with "Samsung Galaxy S-II," but nothing comes after, no matter how long I wait. If anybody has advise for me please tell me. Thanks a lot.
Do make sure yours is i777 and not i9100 first.
I know what version I'm running haha, I'm not that stupid. I fixed it by running cwm recovery and reinstalling the ROM from a folder i made in the external SD. The kernel deleted the original JellyBAM system files... it was a real sticky situation... As you can see in the signature It is fixed... Thanks anyways

Oh wow you literally did every possible thing wrong here. You used galaxys2root AND jellybam. Both off which are not supported around here.

I'm glad it works out. Bravo.
Also, I think you get the wrong idea of what Nick has said.
I have to agree with him and I strongly suggest us not to use Zedomax kernel and stay away from galaxys2root.com.

It's also not cool when people use stuff from other sites and then want people on xda to help fix their problems, meanwhile a quick search almost always lands good results.

I do know the responsibility in making this account and the rules that follow... galaxys2root didn't have the answer so I was hoping that the people on xda could help. I understand now they are not affiliated now but what I did not know was that JellyBAM wasn't either. I asked a question that solved itself, and I apologise for offending, annoying, and or breaking some rules. I needed help because I thought my phone was ruined, and I normally dont trust other sites. Everyone here knows what they are doing. By the way, I'm going to stop using galaxys2root... its unreliable... (to me)
I respect that. Nice to see you've stopped using that site, good luck and have fun flashing .

+1 on the unreliable. Xda is where it's at. I've learned a lot here just reading and reading, specially when taking a dump and I can it's pretty awesome. There are a lot of sites out there but xda is the best imo

Going by your other post you are already unlocked and rooted. That is the main step you needed to accomplish.
Before doing anything, do research. There are guides everywhere on how to flash roms. YouTube has hundreds of videos that have step by step instructions on what to do.
Research so you have an idea of what is going on, then come back here and ask questions you have. It makes everything a lot easier for you and for people helping if you have a general idea of what is going on.

Boosted already answered your question, however I have one for you. Why did you capitalize the first letter of every single word?

I was wondering the same thing.
I think the lack of punctuation is worse.

I think you need to be a little more clear on what you are trying to accomplish. Are you trying to just flash a rom? Or are you trying to use a Verizon I605 on another network?
network
yes on a different network like page plus please forgive me im sorry i wasn't as clear as needed but thats wat i meant

Honestly you need to look up everything you can about flashing because the more you know the less chance you have of screwing your phone up. Research, read, read, read, if you have questions ask them, then flash or do whatever you want to do.
You can ask for help but you at least need to do your research and reading, otherwise it makes you look lazy.

If that's what you are trying to do, the other thread you posted in has everything you need. Go back there and actually read the information. To me, it looks like you want to be spoon fed everything. That isn't going to be useful down the road when you screw something up and have no idea what to do.
