[First of all, the computer must have a mobile phone assistant(Mobile phone ADB driver installation）. Keep awake mobile phone USB debugging and charge ( set in the system developers options ) and connected to the computer.
Mobile phone assistant is connected to your mobile phone, unzip attachments, open the extracted root.bat, start root. The whole process to restart 3 times, second times and third times will listen to your manual operation, according to the instructions on the line.
If the computer during the pop-up the found new hardware wizard, click cancel it, mobile phone assistant will help you to install the driver.
After the root is finished, the mobile phone will add a super user and a RE manager, open the RE manager, you are prompted to authorize said root success.
As some machines can, some not ... I have no way of ...] appendix

Hey, I just bought this phone three weeks ago and It was working well .. then I tried an App (pimp my rom) and I forgot to enable Usb Debugging mode so I restarted phone then Found a message ( Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped ) and when I press ok it shows again .. I can only switch on/off wifi bluetooth GPS and those stuff on Notification bar but I cant enable Usb debugging mode because settings crash with ( Unfortunately, Settings has stopped ) No menu No home screen .. only those messages with a useless notification bar
I tried everything possible to recover this phone but failed because The computer cant define the device because of the Debugging mode and when I try to flash a rom by recovery mod it tells me signature failed
Is there anything I can do for this phone? or its over?
I've already wasted 4 days searching and wasted today when I went to a mobile shop which I thought they can help me but they couldn't as well because this phone is not available much as I ordered it from china through internet

There's a program for Windows called android commander. I don't know how, but I can access my phone even when it's connected just for loafing without debugging enabled. You can restart into recovery from it, you can flash files and access system data if your phone is rooted. I'd be careful about installing other people's backups.

Thanks for replying .. I had my phone rooted but still android commander doesn't identify my device .. the weird thing that when I plug in USB to my device I can choose "Turn on USB Storage" but I can't change USB settings

I can offer one more way to root the above device. I have the exact same device, but mine show S7180 on the back (Star S7180, I bought it under the name iPro S7180), but everything else is the same including the build e1901_v77_jbla668_fwvga_20130415.
To root it:
- Search google for Kingo Root or go to kingoapp. com - download Kingo Root app and install it (works under WinXP and Win7, don't know about Win8, but it should)
- Enable USB debugging in the Developer options on the device
- Plug in the Start S7180/S7188 phone with a standard micro usb cable, while the device is ON with the battery in, select nothing in the USB pop up menu, just leave it
- Run KingoRoot wait for it to recognize the device and click ROOT
- The app will install USB drivers for the device and root it - easy as this, it takes about 2 minutes
- If Kingo Root does not find USB drivers for the device, install them manually - search for "MTK6577 usb drivers" in Google, download the driver, install them on top without removing anything and repeat the procedure.
- Kingo has the option to remove the ROOT as well, which is nice if you need the warranty :angel:
This method worked for me without any issues and it took about 5 minutes. Have fun with a newly rooted NoteII clone. Now you can install custom recovery (for exmp. CWM recovery) and install custom ROMS, that is if you find a decent one - just search XDA. I still keep the rooted stock ROM, it's enough for now, until a comatible Cyanogen KitKat 4.4 comes out.
One more thing - I can offer one forum with a lot of useful stuff for our device - search google for star s7180 forum china ru
It's in russian but Google translate should be enough - there is a lot of information and fixes (remove second network icon, when there is not second sim card; get the GPS working and lock in a position in under a minute; increase the speaker volume; increase the internal space for installing apps by reformatting it, etc)

Can you reflash the ROM without wipe?
All your data and settings will remain intact,but you will put back the original system files.

But if you tell me how to do it,i will try it.

i am having the same problem,
my model is ipro s3pro
mt6577
android version 4.0.4
ms board. htt77_ics2
kernal version 3.0.13
and my phone stops right at the IPRO booting screen
the last thing i remembered doing is moving around some files in the system and rebooting
that was probably stupid but i need help restoring my phone
i tried the system recovery by holding up, menu and power buttons and wiped the data to factory and cache partition
and rebooted and that didnt work
i tried sp flash tool but it doesnt give me any scatter files to choose from
i tried mt65** preloader, it says it successfully download and install but it isnt in my device manager and when i try to connect the phone

Yet, after a few full days, starting without any knowledge of smartphones, working my way trough all the terminology and trying to root my device... the only thing I know left to do is asking for your help. I sincerely hope this is 1) the right place 2) I'm allowed to ask this here and 3) there is not already a simliar topic... If I still failed then feel free to redirect me, move me, etc.

- I've downloaded and succesfully installed pda drivers.
- I've manually installed MT6575_USB_VCOM_drivers by connecting my phone while holding the volume button. These drivers appear, but disappear again in the Device Manager.
Tried Roots:
- This one of course. But the 'Restore button' does not pop up.

- New graphical method for MTK6589,MTK6577,MTK6575 - does not work
- Manual way directed via MTK Droid Root en Tools:
I failed here at step 7. Mtk drooid Root does not make the CWM automaticly.

- I can not enter 'download mode' as far as I know.
- I know there are more methods in Gizbeat 101, but I can't acces them right now... as I'm not a full member there and somehow got instabanned.

Can anyone help me out? This phone has hardly any internal storage. I can't remove most of the applications and a lot of appliacations first install on it's internal memory. If I can't root it, then I can't really use any new applications, since there is no room.

Hey man,
I think it's not possible to make a full back-up without rooting the phone is it? Else I'll be glad to help you out.
I can make a scatterfile with the mtkdroidrootprogram.. but the 'backup' button in mtkdroidroot is grey.
If you tell me how to make a backup I'll gladly help.
So I probably shouldn't just try and flash my phone? Good chance I brick it...

i also have the same unit and i tried every rooting method but no success. What i did is i just install superuser app and it works. hope this help. cheers.

please send me your backup, i will make cwm 6.0.3.0 recovery for you.
make your backup with mtk droid tools 2.3.8 . connect phone with usb, click on root . it will root temporary . click on the bakup . creat backup and upload on the 4share or any other place and send me link.

Won't the factory reset brick my phone? Since it won't install the hacked ROM?
I tried it without the factory reset but it says "This is not a real Samsung." Will that really change if I factory reset :S?

Oh, then did you tried " TPSparkyRoot" method? and sorry, i thought you're using mt6577.
Try the software eroot. Everything is in Chinese but I just clicked and clicked and finally got my phone (clone s4 mini Korean) rooted.
I now have my phone bricked when I tried to install some fonts. I got into the 3e recovery but cannot execute the command.

In 3e, you can execute the commands by hitting the lower left touch key, think it's the menu button took me like forever to figure that out
Anyways, I probably got the same mobile, it is a mtk6575. But I am not sure which custom rom I could install safely. Which one worx for sure?!

It's a clone from China/Korea/Japan (I don't know) and I would like to root and update the android version but I've tried a lot of different tutorials but no success in anyone.
I tried to put my phone on Download mode (Hold volume down + home button + power button) but it only show a screen with the android robot and a triangle with white borders and an exclamation inside. It is the recovery mode (Android recovery mode <e> with some options appears if I press home button)
Could somebody help me on this?

Nothing works. I really would like to root because I want to update android and uninstall a bunch of chinese/korean apps that shows semi naked women in the middle of screen from nothing. Depending on the situation it can cause an embarrassment for me.

can some one help me get the rom for a mt6575 I9500 dual core 1Ghz, 512rami managed to flash a few roms, but i think those are not for my device, cause most of them are S3, or note, but it matches cause of the NAND flash file on them, can some one help me with this?, device dont turn on or charge, but ican make it work on pc to flash by holding down volume- key and then pluging cable to pc, when first red bar pass i but the battery and flash is complete(this is using SPFlash Tools.

Please I am making another thread on the topic of lost root after an update of 4.3 on my S3 GT I9300, Plus no pc/laptop is recognizing my phone , When ever I connect USB windows says unknown device, windows error code 10 and 43. I would run my phone without root but after update the phone is not register network, IMEI is there in setting/about phone/status , But even for bringing network back I have to root the phone and I spended 3 days finding stuff if I am able to root the phone without pc suport.
I am really frustreted & can't handle anymore so, please developers if anyone of you can see and get me a flashable zip file package which I can flash over system recovery to get root. Details of the firmware are as follow....

Please Developers Help or my phone has become a toy for kids to play games.
I have tried all the possible methods, I mean by framaroot, iroot, rootmaster, and somany other apps which I can download through wifi and run on the phone. I am able to go to recovery/download mode but pc is not recongnizing my phone I think the update has mas up something on the phone and operating system. So, for all the aspects I require to have root whether I wish to flash custom rom, custom recovery, stock rom through mobile odin or anything. I have read and tried to apply anything that has come across to me in last few days but no luck. :crying: I hope this thread would bring my luck back and my phone will be as earlier. Please help and reply earliest.

Perform a factory reset. Reinstall the device drivers in PC and then try connecting.
