[Q] STUCK! Can't mount sdcard - HTC One X+

Hey guys, so I successfully unlocked the bootloader to this phone and even installed a customer recovery (TWRP). However, when I go to Mount, there is no option to mount the sdcard!
I've tried a few different methods to fix this, including flashing stock recovery/bootloader factory reset/flash twrp with no luck!
I've tried pushing files through adb, as well as sideloading, and nothing is working!
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this I would great appreciate it, as my next and final step is to run the RUU (which i continued getting an error for when trying to run it, though I think it may have been due to lack of memory on my computer).

You can't mount an SD Card your phone does not have use adb to push the rom to /data/media/ or sideload a rom. To do that you will need to make sure all the drivers are installed. Use HTC sync manager to install the drivers.

Thank you for the speedy reply, and wow my bad. I'm modding this for a friend and for my own phone (HTC EVO 4G LTE) the internal storage is called the /sdcard so I thought the same would be for this.
I've already tried sideloading, and it went through successfully but now the phone is stuck at the white screen for the HOX+.
So that's where you push the files to for this phone, but once they are there how do you select them via twrp? Or does installing from zip option in twrp bring you to that path?

The HOX+ is a MTP device, so it does not need one of the SD Card partitions older devices have. We don't have S-Off either, so when you sideloaded the rom, the kernel (boot.img) does not get flashed, you have to manually extract it from the rom.zip and flash it from fastboot (fastboot flash boot boot.img). Maybe that's why phone won't boot

Ok, so I just tried flashing the boot img for the stock rom for this device through fastboot, and it went succesfully. Then I sideloaded the stock rom, and though it went %100 through on the computer side on the phone it said it ran into an error (Status 7). Any idea? Is it because I flashed the boot img first and then the rom?

Stock rom? did you mean RUU? If yes, you need to relock your bootloader first.

Status 7? Are you trying to flash an AT&T rom on an international phone or vise versa?

I might have messed up

Guys,
I followed this guide to unlock my phone and gain superuser access step by step:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239821
I then installed Rom Manager, and restarted in Recovery.
I placed this zip: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421065 onto my SD Card, and did not rename it. Once in recovery I installed that ROM. It installed with no errors however now the phone gets stuck at the htc logo screen.
Any thoughts?
What was contained that .zip file you flashed, and did you make a backup of your system before you flashed?
Sent from my Droid Razr Maxx
Did you wipe data cache and dalvik? If not wipe again. If it bootloops again try pushing the kernel with fastboot.
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
The .zip contains the following files:
data
devices
kernel
META-INF
sdcard
system
CHANGELOG
check_data_app
mike, can you tell me how to push the update with fastboot, I'm kind of new to all of this telephone wizardry
I can get into FASTBOOT/HBOOT/RECOVERY, however nothing I do seems to help me get past the HTC Logo. Any thoughts? Maybe I'm not waiting long enough? Can someone please tell me exactly what I need to do (if I can even do something). I might just be approaching this whole process the wrong way.
Do I install a ROM from ZIP from Recovery? Do I need to fastboot an .img file first?
Sounds like your hboot 1.5 and your phone is hanging due to you need to place a copy of your recovery in your adb folder...
The while in Hboot
Using adb with phone plugged in and debug turned on
fastboot boot recovery.img
Then wipe and flash the rom you were trying to flash...
You can't just flash a rom with recovery since your s-on
Two methods
One is fastboot boot recovery.img which is easy
Other is boot.img pain in the ass
I tried booting directly into recovery like you just said. I am using TWRP recovery.img file.
Can this be caused by the type of ROM that I am trying to install?
Everything works fine, the .zip gets applied and seems to install correctly, but it still hangs at the htc logo.
I also forgot to mention that originally I used Clockwork Recovery Mod, which i got from the market, and selected the option to boot into recovery. I don't know if that makes any difference.
You should Google shooter ruu. Get back to stock. Retry this with another shot at reading the instructions.
You must plug your phone into pc while in fastboot and give it a command to boot recovery recovery.img .
Then reflash a rom.
Read more I'm hboot 1.4 and I can still flash a 1.5 hboot correctly cause I've read how to.

If u haven't figured it out yet, see if this helps:
[Guide] My Hboot 1.50 HTC Unlock/recovery/rom/kernel flashing notes http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1495358
If u have updated your phone to the newest radio in the 2.17.651.5 update you may have problems if the Rom is based on an earlier kernel/radio like I think Warm is, but I could be wrong.
You may have flashed the Rom incorrectly & not had the kernel get flashed causing the boot loop.

[Q] HELP with BootMagic check failed

Hello Guys, I hope to be in the right section...I have a problem with my HTC Rezound. Few months ago I unlocked the boot thought HTCDEV and I install Amon Ra Recovery 3.13 and after 3.15 and so ever since I was able to flash ROMs etc.
Yesterday I downloaded a new ROM after I did a full erase through the recovery... the installation was fine but when I turn on the device it was stuck on a black screen.
So with adb I tried to flash the room with fastboot on the terminal of my pc... I tried a million of times but after a while I always get the same message:
installing boot
image error (Boot Magic check failed)
I tried to erese the recovery or to install a new kernel or boot etc... nothing worked so far...
What can I do ????
Thanks
What ROM are you trying to flash?
Can't flash a ROM in fastboot
Take the battery out and put it back in, hold down volume rocker and press power..then select "recovery" from the hboot menu.

Yep yep, also if you are trying to flash BAMF ROM you have to do put the PH98IMG.zip manually in the sdcard its not automated like scott's or bored's (unless this has changed)
didn't work
I was tryng to flash a rom from scott's clean rom and it didn't work...after I downloaded pretty much all the rom that I could find and none of them worked...
also that the rom that I use to flash in the past don't work anymore...
I pulled out the battery... i went through the recovery HBoot etc...but none of them worked
right now I'm hopeless

when you say "update manually" do you mean try and push the file? If so it cannot be done this way. Just upload the ROM on a different sd card and see if that works
didn't work
sorry by manually I was meaning through the terminal with my pc...
I tried to switch sd card my nothing happened

You can't install a ROM using fastboot and ADB commands, it has to be done through recovery.
Each ROM is a specifically formatted update zip file. It has the files for the ROM, plus an update script/update binary. Recovery knows what to do with this because it was designed to use these. Fastboot, is far more generic, and will only flash files packages in the .img format. These files are meant to replace entire partitions.
My suggestion would be to try to re-flash your recovery from fastboot and see if you can gain access to the recovery.

Speed Rom 3.1.0 help!!

I was on S-off leaked RUU ICS running fine, I downloaded the latest speed rom and it gave me this error while trying to flash
Formatting partitions
(system is unmounted already)
E: Error in /sdcard/Speed Rom ICS 3.1.0.zip
(Status 1)
Installation aborted.
I downloaded it again and got the same error.
When i tried a third time i was no longer able to get into CWM.
I tried flashing CWM again using the all in one tool which pushed it fine but it still does not load CWM, I tried pushing 4ext and TWRP with the same results. 4ext was able to get to a screen where it said 4ext is loading 3..2..1.. but then back to the white HTC screen
is there a way i can push the RUU leak file via ADB so i can flash that again using the built in recovery?
Thanks,

Download the ICS leak again, rename it to PH85IMG.zip, put it on your microSD card, boot into bootloader (vol down + power), let it do its thing
Also, may I recommend the 4ext recovery?

I have no idea. Sorry.
The command should be...(put the PH85IMG.zip in your tools folder first)
Code:
adb push PH85IMG.zip /sdcard2/PH85IMG.zip
If sdcard2 doesn't work try sdext or sd_ext
Don't quote me on this...

I tried that way too later on. It gave me permission denied. I think because my rom was gone debugging was no longer enabled and write permissions to the SD card were gone. I was able to get back up and running by using a card reader.
Thanks everyone

I wish I read this earlier...exact same thing happened to me! I'm s-on however , but just unlocked my boot loader to flash this rom.
Now I have to re-lock bootloader and load the stock rom again...so much work for literally no benefit. Disappointed!

I use a usb OTG in TWRP almost everyday
and if sideload is failing it's likely because you don't have the drivers installed properly
and so you know the unlock is what wiped the phone not TWRP (unless you choose advanced and selected to wipe the sdcard which no one does)
get you drivers working
to test from recovery on the phone and command on the PC do adb devices and make sure you device is listed.
then in twrp you choose advanced/adb sideload
Connect phone to PC
Open command line where you have the file of ROM assuming you have ADB in Path of system, if you have not just copy the ROM to same place you have ADB files.
Type:
adb devices
(verify you phone are detect)
adb sideload name_of_the_rom_file.zip
(Wait the file is transfered to phone and recovery flash)

[Q] HTC One X+ bricked

Hi all
I am in big trouble. Please help me out.
I have HTC One X+ since last 1.5 years. It came with everything locked.
In order to install CyanogenMod i tried to root my HTC OneX+ and successfully did. The phone went back to factory settings.
After this, the real problem started. I downloaded a recovery.img and boot.img from somewhere over the net (I was careful but not sure if i downloaded the right one) and flashed it into my device. Afterwards, boom!!!!. My phone went into recovery loop and everything has been wiped out.
I am still able to fastboot it through my pc but nothing else.
Can anybody suggest what to do??
This is the right twrp recovery for the hox+:
http://dl.twrp.me/enrc2b/twrp-2.8.6.0-enrc2b.img
Download the rom you want to install and extract the boot.img from the zip.
In fastboot flash new recovery.Reboot into recovery and adb push rom's zip into your sd card.
Reboot in fastboot and flash boot.img.Reboot into recovery and flash rom.
Will try this and let you know. Thanks for the advise
If it doesn't work try to flash a working kernel first and then twrp recovery.

Because doing that will change the outcome.................Right?
It will make zero difference. The issue is the user.
As directed, i downloaded the twrp file and flashed it. Now the phone is getting into Recovery mode. Thanks!!
However, after that, i copied many compatible ROMs (Venom, Evagelincia, etc...), extracted their boot.img on my computer and flashed them one by one on my phone. Every time, the the process gets stuck. Each time i waited for 15-20 min for the boot to be flashed but nothing.
Did i miss something in between or i am not using the right boot.img?

cmd needs to have ADMINISTRATOR access for fastboot on windows or you need to use SUDO on linux
OF course i used CMD as ADMINISTRATOR
