I am running on Xperiance Rom.
I wanna replace my stock bloatware with some app.
How do I do so?

If you are rooted.. Head toward root folder. There u will find a folder named system open it. There is a folder named apps. You will find them there...
And some are located in root/data/apps
Hope it helps
Use root explorer
Or if you want to remove them use speeddroid..

The bloatware apps are located in system/etc/product/applications .

An easy way would be to use Desktop Visualizer https://play.google.com/store/apps/...DEsImpwLmNvLmJpaS5hbmRyb2lkLmFwcC5kc2t2enIiXQ..
Here is a link to find original Xperia S icons. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1543555 I'm sure the Xperia S ICS icons will be available presently.
Hey how do u install these icons? I downloaded the zip file . After that? I'm on stock 2.3.3 rooted. currently don't have go launcher or any other launcher installed. Saying this cuz I thought maybe flash that zip file via xrecovery

I will tell you one simple method ,just copy the app(whose icon you want to change) from system/app using root explorer and paste it to sd card after that paste it to desktop ,(note:you should have 7zip or winrar installed),right click on the app and extract it and then open the extracted folder app and goto res/drawable-hdpi and change it with ics icon from another app by same method, now right click on the app and click open archive, now delete the res folder from there and paste the folder(res) from the extracted folder and you are done now copy the modified app to sd card and remove the system app with it

Here you go. I think in order to install this you're going to need to be rooted.
1. Copy and paste and paste the apk into your SDCARD folder on your Galaxy Player.
2. Then, use a file explorer with Root Permissions (e.g. Root Explorer, ES File Explorer) and copy and paste the apk into the following directory
system-->app
3. Lastly, do a reboot and you should be good.
hey guys,
lets say i accidently deleted all data of the app:mediastorage, my walkman app doesnt see any music files?
can this be fixed?
thanks

you need the APK, then put the APK into /system/app folder and change permissions to rw-r-r then reboot - should work... ICS or GB? wait awaile till im upload the files
got just the Gingerbreadrom as ZIP file - not the ICS

so you got the zipfile
open the Zipfile, search the file and copy into /system/app, change permissions to rw-r-r and reboot
tried that, but the problem is, there is no such file in the zip ..

mediaprovider.apk maybee?
other possibility:
flash the Rom again without Factory reset... you dont loose your personal settings and got all Sysapps back again
i somehow fixed the problem by in fx explorer in all music folders rescanning for media.
thanks anyway man!

Hello. I was cleaning rom I installed from bloatware and I accidentally removed this apk. As I know this apk enables you to share files in various other apps and I can't do that now. Bluetooth works normally. Can anyone upload this apk from your sola? Will it work again if I put it in /system/app?
P.S. I have Ultimate sola v4 installed.

This is a thread mainly used for themers and porters who want to edit the android manifest.xml in their apk's...
By using this u can mod your apks but the meta inf must be the original.
Installation:
Just pushboth files into system>framework folder by using root explorer.
