Well I just got the phone used so use it for 2 days and now no matter what I do the headphone icon stays on all the time and won't play out the back speaker. So how can I fix it
Thanks

Maybe you have some debris stuck inside the port. Try a can of air.

Totally agree with Double0EK. There's something wrong with your audio jack.

Try using an app that can force speaker..
If you are rooted: elixir 2 is what I like but there's lots of stuff on market

If I wanted a comeback outta you... I'd scrape the roof of your mouth...
If you want mine,. it'll land between your shoulder blades soon enough.
Yea there's something physically wrong, air didn't work and I got bored and jabbed a toothpick around in there and still didn't work.

Where in elixir 2?
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Elixir 2 widgets.
Create widget add per usual.. Pick size you like etc...
One of the selections will be speaker.. Select it / add it to the widget with any other icons.. Like screen brightness etc..
Create / finalise the widget (save backup etc)
Touch the speaker icon and the widget will force speaker on for everything.. All calls etc...
My phone automatically goes to speaker phone when I get a call now.. I'm deaf and I need it as regular ear speaker is to quiet
I use everything with the elixir name on it.. It works great!... That factory power control widget is a joke

For whatever reason, at random times, the media volume of my phone will just flat out mute. Once mute, I am unable to get it up, even through the sound settings, it'll just go back to mute. My only fix so far is to restart the phone, but it gets really annoying.
Has this happened to anyone else and does anybody know why causes it? I did the whole increase volume thing with QPST and made the volume Lv4. I seemed as if everything worked correctly, but I noticed absolutely no change in volume =_=;
First suggestion, get another phone. I had the same problem...

I had it happen.. it happened a lot with my g2x... And anytime I ran cm7 I had to reboot... I'm guessing just a faulty media driver or something else as it doesn't happen often.
Try a to download a different media player (music only obviously) from the market
Or just reboot your phone and increase the media volume in the "settings"
Im sure if its a major bug the developer's will find a fix

My slider is perfect, it snaps and takes the right amount of effort to slide. I've had two of these phones because of a part number mixup, had the first one for an entire weekend and both are perfect, good slider, no dust, light leak or dead pixels.

Fix: Go into Sound settings and change the Sound profile to Normal (preferably before launching the game, but works after-the-fact too, if you forget). Mine defaulted to Vibrate, and it seems that this game is programmed to disable sound (only after the splash screen and intro video, go figure) if it detects this or the Silent profile. Now I can hear the game, for a change.

Why didn't you say it wasn't loud enough, or the volume was low
You can try a louder sound clip, but don't boost it too much, else it will distort, and distortion is bad.

Turn it upside down, sorry, couldn't resist. That's one thing I really liked about my OG. With the extended battery, laying it on it's back on speaker phone the sound would bounce off the surface and expand the sound dispersion.

I think its much louder than the.3D.
Sent from my EVO LTE!!
Does anyone know how the speaker compares to e4gt? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
It is much louder than the EVO 3D. I was very disappointed with the EVO 3D volume, but this phone, IMO, has great volume out of the box.
Sent from my EVO 4G LTE using Tapatalk 2
I too agree that the speaker volume is low!
coming from the Evo 3D this speaker is louder than a Mother F*****
I have both phones playing the same tune, side by side in sync at max volume with both speakers facing me. They are pretty darn close.
Possible slight edge to EVO LTE and just a bit more edge for LTE listening from the front (speaker facing away). Sounds comes around the bottom center better on the LTE than the dead center of the 3D.
acoustics.... get you some!
put the phone in a deep container, vase, gallon pitcher, any cylindrical object with a wider mouth than bottom.
you can aim it in any direction you desire, it will be 2x-5x louder.
i listen to music from my phone while i shower, simply putting the phone in the bottom of the sink is plenty

Yeah it's great to have a phone again that I can hear when ringing! I can't tell you how many phone calls, sms or gtalk messages I missed because of the low volume on the EVO 3D.
So if I tap the top of my screen or shake my phone I hear some sort of "tick" sound. Anyone noticed this? Is this normal or?...
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
It's the loose power/wake button on the right hand side. This is common in Samsung phones.

I'm actually pretty convinced it's coming from higher (somewhere near the camera). Also if I hold the button still with my finger I still hear the sound. It's pretty obvious when you tap on the screen. When you tap on the top of the screen it kinda sounds clicky while on the bottom just "normal"

Anyone else?
Damn you - hadn't noticed this and now it will bug me
I thought it might be the internal part of the headphone connector at first but more playing (and tapping) and I agree, I'm sure it's the front (earpiece) speaker cover bit.
Guess they are all like this, not something most people (me included) would notice until you try.

Yeah I just noticed it even though I already had mine for some time. It kinda bugged me. But knowing that it is normal makes me find it less irritating.
Hi everyone.
I have my Razr Maxx with bootmenu and the leaked version of ICS (676.226.3.XT910.Retail.en.EU) and today I was going to listen some music when I found my official Motorola wired headphones aren't recognised by the phone.
I plugged them to my PC and they work ok. But the phone doesn't even show the headphones icon, and any sound played (even music from the regular moto player or spotify) sound in the phone's loudspeaker.
Anyone has found this or knows how can I fix it ?
Could it be a kernel/bootloader problem ?
Cheers!

I tried all the methods and none did work. Today I've uninstalled bootmenu/hijack and all that stuff... now it works... incredible... maybe some kernel problem? Or I was just lucky and the yesterday's cleaning worked today? strange...
Anyway, I'm glad it's working now... Spotify! there we go!
PS: I prefer Metallica or a little Foo Fighters... but AC/DC is quite good... XD
Cheers!

That's weird. I have this problem too - but headphones aren't working nor on CM9 (non-kexec) neither on stock Motorola ICS (newest one). I've tried even another headphones, but they don't work either. Has anyone find a solution? Other than cleaning, because I've tried it - without effect :/

I have three G3's and a N2 and they all do this.
I have never seen a way to fix it. It doesn't really bother me anymore, but at my old job when I listened to streaming audio all day it really pissed me off......
Mine actually play through both the headphones AND the phone, so I guess thats a little different problem but it sucked at work when I didn't want other people thinking all I did was text all day...LOL

My problem is that when my boss calls me at work, I don't hear it because I'm working. That's one of the reasons I hook my phone up to my radio. I'm sure there's a mod or app out there, I just haven't found it yet.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk HD
I have not personally tested this, but Soundabout Pro from the Play Store is the app that I have seen recommended to solve audio routing issues on S3 and Note 2.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...nk.android.wiredheadphoneroutingfix.pro&hl=en
in the market place there is an app called "soundabout" has tons of features can even force the media player to play through the mono blue tooth signal.
there is a free version but you'll need the paid version to do what you are wanting to do I believe.
