Did you flash a modem did you flash correct CSC have you entered your networks APN settings .
If yes then wipe phone flash stock rom and test .
Never heard of that rom pandorium so first go to where you got the rom and read the instructions and the thread.

[Q] Need help with info on chaning modems

My phone shows the little R icon for roaming even if I am not. Is there anyway to fix this? I want to turn off data while roaming for when I travel but with this issue I need to leave it on to use my data
looks like it could be an issue with the modem from what I read online. Anyone have an easy tutorial on how to change my modem?
Im using a network that uses 850/1900 for 3G so recommendations for modem would help too
My phone was originally a Bell phone which is now unlocked. Im using it on Fido in canada in case this info helps
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
read the bottom of the first post on this thread about flashing with Odin.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
but use the phone button to flash modems instead of the pda button everything else stays the same.
As to modems younneed to experiment till you find one to your liking as these are personal preferences.

Noticed the Rogers logo are u using a SGS2 also with Rogers? If so may I ask if u have this roaming indicator as well? If not what rom/kernel/modem combo u using?
I believe the R roaming logo appears when you are not using your own carrier signal.

Thanks ill give that one a go
Hi there,
I have the bell unlocked gs2 with fido and I'm also recently seeing the roaming appear. This appeared after I flashed a custom rom for it.
After doing some researching, I'm fairly certain that it's a fido sim card on Rogers network and it thinks its roaming when in fact it should be ok.
Just wondering if somehow found a way to get rid of the roaming (ie letting the device know they are the same network)
Thanks,
Btw went from stock ugkg2 to leomar75 rom revolution
Try flashing the bell modem amd csc back on your device adleomar used his locale settimgs wjen he fesigned the rom. Settings are usually country and region specific.

[q] sgs2 "not registered on the network"

Hi there.
I'm running into a specific problem with my SGS2.
After successfully upgrading to multiple Stock ICS from this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487 , I keep receiving the same message when I try to make a phone call : "NOT REGISTERED ON THE NETWORK".
The phone is not picking up my network and it's on Emergency calls only.
At first, 3G/HSPDA connectivity wasn't working. Only WiFi was working.
However after following a procedure on another thread, I entered the code *2767*3855# immediatly after flashing yet another stock ICS rom.
To my surprise the 3G/HSPDA connectivity was working this time. I took as a sign of victory, but that was only short noticed since the phone was still on Emergency calls only and it still gave me that network error message.
Guys PLEASE I implore you to help me find a solution.
I've flashed the above stock rom (using ODIN of course) in the following order :
1.) I9100XWLP4_I9100LUXLP1_LUX
2.) I9100XWLP7_I9100OXELP7_SER
3.) I9100XWLP7_I9100XEULP5_XEU
What could have possibly went wrong ?
I reside in Cape Town, South Africa. I did the flashing for a friend and his network works just fine....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Steve

Bumping posts in a short time space is not allowed this is not Samsung service fix your phone forum .
First is to check you have the correct IMEI on your phone .
If not then restore your backed up EFS folder .If you have not backed up EFS then you need to start reading the IMEI and EFS posts .

Hi i am having the same error, i have tried two different versions of ICS both are official versions. They both install fine and after the phone reboots it goes straight to the home screen without asking for the code. The data network is not active as well as the phone. When i try to make a call it gives me the
"not registered on network error"
I have even tried updating via kies which produces the same result.
The last two installs i tried was with ODIN.
I have gone back to version 2.3.4 which is working fine
any help will be greatly appreciated thanks you
Rohan
Remove battery then check on the underside of the phone your model no.
What country ?
What carrier are you with?
What ICS are you trying to install?
Which gingerbread are you able to use?
PS you can find out which firmware you are on by dialing *#1234#
Post your information

Definately the firmware for South Africa; "Samfirmware shows both to be either Vodafone or XFM".
While on Gingerbread backup your EFS using HC-Ktool or any other EFS backup tool if thats not available in your country.
You could then if needed restore using the same app.
What sort of code do you normally have to input before you get to your main home screen?
Do you do a complete data/factory reset and full wipe/format system before installing new firmware.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
Hi it's a sim card code i input before i get to the home screen. I did a factory reset and erased the usb storage, and then i used odin to load ICS on the phone.
So you say it must be the firmware since i am on MTN and i am trying to load a vodaphone rom?
Try a firmware from here:-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
instructions of how to flash are also posted there.
Look for your region or a multi CSC region.
(taken from a previous post).
Copy your internal sdcard and external micro sdcard to your PC.
Boot into recovery. Data factory reset. Advanced option, wipe dalvik cache.
Mounts and storage option, format system; data; sdcard.
Also try Ultimate cleaning script
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1166954
Install correct stock firmware using Odin or place a custom rom zip on your sdcard and install from recovery.
Once firmware has booted, from the dial pad, dial *2767*3855#
This will factory data reset.
Wait for firmware to reboot.
Hopefully after that you should be OK.
I got the same probleme some time ago. The only workaround was to switch off the pin-code in settings and then turn it on again...
After flashing a new firmware and do a full wipe, the problem was gone...
Thanks guys i will try both these methods and report back...
First of a big THANK YOU to both of you guys for helping...
-I 1st did a factory reset
-Then Disabled the Sim Card Pin Request
-Downloaded the XFA firmware that you told me to download
-Flashed with ODIN and ICS was working.
Oh before i did all of this i downloaded an official version of Android 2.3.4 and flashed to phone.
I don't know if that had anything to do with it but just thought i would mention it in case it did.
So thanks again guys really awesome...

Flashing back to original firmware , ie gingerbread is always a good idea. On quite a few threads, members have had problems going from one ICS to another.
Pleased it has worked out for you.

you are probably missing the keystr file in efs\imei folder. Just restore back that file and you can use back the sim card pin lock. i had a similar issue previously too.

sim signal problem showing no service

My czn galaxy s2 is working perfectly has xwlpd 4.03 except he detects sim but shows no service for sim...
plzzz help me...
i will be very thankful to u.........
Hi!
Since you are new here, it might be the best time for you to read the forum rules just to get you informed.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?a=81 check it out!
1. try inserting your sim in another phone, if you find a signal in the other phone, then there might be something wrong with the s2..
if there is still no signal, then it is a network related problem and call your network operator
2. if you find a signal in the other phone and not in your s2, then you must flash a modem..
DEFINITION:
*Modem/Radio/Baseband is all the same thing and can be seen by going to Settings - About Phone - Baseband. It's basically a driver which receives and sends Mobile Network signals as well as handling switching between GPRS, 3G, HSDPA etc....... (but not WiFi connection, that and switchover between Mobile Network and WiFi is handled by the kernel). Reasoning as to why Modem has no influence on WiFi can be found in this post by Entropy - http://<b>http://forum.xda-developer...count=6556</b>
USAGE:
*There is no one "Best" modem for everybody. Unfortunately you actually have to try to find the modem which works perfectly for you on performance, strength and battery drain levels. The good thing is that from my lengthy 8 month experience with Galaxy S2, I'm happy to report that there are a few modems that seem to perform well geographically for most users. These modems are KE7, KH3, KI3, KI4, KL1, LPS, NEKF2, NELP2 & NELP3.
COMPATIBILITY:
*Modems do not need to be matched up with firmware like it's done with ROMs and Kernels. For example, a KI4 modem can be used with a KL1 ROM and the other way round. The only thing you need to pay attention to is what model your SGS2 is. 9100 and 9100 modems are compatible across both models. However, 9100 model and US variants are not cross compatible since the devices are designed to work on different bands.
INSTALLATION:
*I will add a flashing guide to post number 5 soon, hence why it says "Work in progress.....". For the moment I suggest asking Mr. Google to do a search for you. Bottom line is, for CWM packaged modems you need to be rooted and have a working CWM recovery (flash the CWM modem zip within recovery). For .TAR packages, all you need to do is flash it while your device is in Download Mode and connected to ODIN. The .TAR file should be selected in the PHONE field. Don't touch anything else.

i hope this helps,

No DATA on Atrix 4G[ATT VERSION CARRIER-UNLOCKED]

My friend just bought a new Motorola Atrix 4G, the ATT version. The phone was brought here and carrier-unlocked. Problem is, voice and text work, but the phone just does not connect to mobile data. software version is 4.5.141. tried setting new APNs, restoring default APNs, nothing worked. in about phone in status, it shows : "Mobile Network State : Disconnected" always..
Any help on this?

This isn't a how to get data to work thread, i have a problem with the data connection so it's not a question and i dont think i need to put in the Q&A section, though you may have your own opinion.
Purchased for the USA and carrier unlocked and brought to India. I've tried 2 different indian service providers, Reliance and Vodafone, and on both the voice and txt works but no data..the 'E' symbol is there but no Upload and download arrows...

Something is not working...you are asking for help ("Any help on this?")...sure seems like a Q&A thread candidate to me....
If changing the APN setting doesn't work, you probably need to flash a different radio. If I remember correctly, the 36p and 100r work pretty good in India. Radios can be found at the link below.

Ok, i saw the files, got this : http://samcripp.com/files/ downloaded the asia_retail26aug file...
Question : Says CWM flashable, but the phone is brand new with a locked bootloader and NO root. So can i still flash CWM Recovery and then flash this file?
Before you can do any kind of flashing you need to unlock your bootloeader and install some sort of custom recovery. Rooting is irrelevant.

Well maybe you could help me on that too as i saw a WARNING thread in the dev section regarding the 4.5.141 version saying the device can get hard bricked..
I have at&t atrix running on stock 4.5.141 and data on vadafone works fine in mumbai
So if your phone is with stock at&t rom ideally it should work
But still if you are going to flash radios
then first root the device then unlock bootloader and install cwm - guide is in same forum
And keep a nandroid backup of your stock setup just in case you need it !
All the best

Any need to take the mick?
I can read thank you!
I'm sure there are many things you may not know the answer too I'm simply asking for advice not looking for a keyboard junkie to protest!
So I will look to learn Odin flash.
I have downloaded latest Odin
I have downloaded kites for samsung.
Where is the best place to get the software I need to put on phone(rom kernel )
Many thanks

Goto Settings/more settings/mobile networks, check that your APN is configured correctly for your network provider. You can normally find the correct settings on their website or via Google. Probably best to reboot afterwards
