SnowJB - Reduce # of Homescreens - AT&T LG Optimus G

Does anyone know how to reduce the number of screens in the stock LG UI?
I cannot find this option anywhere. Really don't need 7 screens!

I use Nova so don't know for sure, but try pressing the home button twice, or long pressing on an empty spot on the home screen.

Try pinching the screen with 2 fingers and all of your screens will show up. Then you can remove any screen you want.

HTC Sense Launcher: Wallpaper scroll?

It seems as though the wallpaper no longer scrolls with Sense 3.0. This sucks, and there doesn't seem to be any sort of workaround. Not that I was going to stick with the stock launcher for long anyway but it would have been nice. The launcher isn't even semi-transparent like I hoped it would be. ROOT can't come fast enough!

yeah i noticed that too now i need to re-size all of my images unless we can find a fix for that, not a deal breaker on my end either and the sensitivity of the scroll would be nice to adjust i have barely touching it and sending it in full carousel spin
Might have something to do with the continuous home screen scroll and 3d carousel ...

That is probably it. HTC should have made the wallpaper scroll until the carousel effect started.

just found that out today. searched the forum to see if anyone knew and found this. Totally hate that carousel! it totaly killed my favorite and only live wallpaper i used. https://market.android.com/details?id=org.tamanegi.wallpaper.multipicture&feature=search_result
Is there any option at all to turn that BS carousel off..!?. (i did read through whole thread just wondering again) had speacial pictures of family on each of the home screens that meant something to me.
Use another launcher besides sense if you want wallpaper scrolling

Totally not understand HTC why disable this option.

[REQ] screen rotate animation

I've seen this in the Photon and maybe a tablet or two (Asus I think). It seems to add a touch of class. Even the Palm Pre had a animated rotation when it changed between portrait and landscape.
Can this be added to a theme or even just adding to system files somehow?

Have your ever used a iOS device? If so think if the transition effect. Hard to explain it. I will tell you it looks much smoother and refined instead of the screen just switching to the proper direction

Sub'd. I'd like to see this also.

I know what you mean and there used to be an option in earlier versions of Android for a rotate animation. It wasn't very nice visually and was very slow but this was when my G1 was new.

Yes there is open your stock web browser and type about:debug in the address bar. Then go to settings and it will be located in all the way near the bottom called smooth rotate. Don't touch any of the other settings though.

Take a look at this vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9ria1jwoOY&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Just before halfway through you can see it rotate as it changes orientation. Just a smooth transition whereas the htc phones are kind of an instant switch.
Thanks tuscani, so the stock browser is the only place? I'll check this out. It'd be cool if it happened everywhere like moto (can't believe I'm saying moto is cool in any way)

That did nothing for me. about:debug didn't bring up anything.
//edit// Nevermind. I'm stupid. I figured it out. But yes, that's what we are looking for, just throughout the OS.

Yeah the about:debug thing is just what I'm talking about. Can something like this be added throughout the os?
Im far from a noob and this about:debug thing brings nothing up for me

After you type it in the address bar, hit menu, more, and then settings. It will be added as an option towards the bottom of the settings page. I tried a few times and it was there. It's definitely cool, too

Finally got it... In address bar type "about:debug" (with no space and no quotes). Press enter then menu then more. You might have to try a few times.

As far as OS level goes I'd say its not out of the question. I mean now that we have roms coming out faster than we can flash em I'd say its a matter of time.

Bump.
Maybe this is impossible? Anyone even know where this type of animation is defined?
In my express port to the EVO it had this animation ;-) I'm working on porting it to the 3d

Bless you! Do you think it can be flashable or will it be part of a theme? Even a how-to would be cool.
God-speed in your mission.

[Q] WidgetLocker themes too small

I've tried quite a few WidgetLocker themes, but they all appear too small...I think it's because they're made for HDPI devices.
Is there any way I can resize them or something like that?
Long press on the sliders to resize them.

Try lowering the number of 'blocks' that appear on widgetlocker config. Try something like 4x4 or so.

Tried that, it just shows like it's changing the size of the grid that surrounds the slider, but the slider itself remains small, if you know what I mean..

That's where I got the sliders from, but they don't seem to work well. Can you please try out the MNML Gradient one? (First one) If it seems the right size on your phone, I'll know I've screwed up somewhere
I'm getting the same issue
Just that I'm running it on my Galaxy S running 4.0.3
I'm having the same issue. I'm on the HTC one X and i think the theme is just not made for such a high resolution device. The unlock circle is much too small. update sorely needed!

Clock on lock screen

Im sorry if this already posted but I didn't see any on my device I can't find anywhere that will let me change the clock layout or color and I would really like a way to do that because my background color makes the clock hard to read

I don't think you can do it with the native launcher - I tried finding a setting the first day I had it. My guess is you'll need to use a different launcher. I've used Nova in the past...tons of customization available.

Haven't used Nova in a while but figured if any launcher had the capability, it would be Nova.
Dang well honestly I'd even settle for a lock screen clock widget

I'm with you - my background is fairly light so seeing the clock on the lock screen was hard, plus I wasn't a fan of the stacked style or the thin font (tired eyes like thicker fonts). Was bummed when I dug through all the settings and couldn't find anything that allowed for adjustment.
Same and I agree the stacked got is not that pretty to look at
