My GT-I9100G Can't enter to download and also recovery mode.. Pls help me.. I try already many times .. If another problem is phone doesn't know power when connect to charger...
Most likely going to need to know what it is you did to turn your phone into a paperweight. All not lost yet though tell us what you did and we can tell you the way forward.
N.B this post should really be in Q&A and not in general. There are also many other threads about this. Have a quick search of the Q&A thread see if anything comes up the same. Maybe your answer lays in there.

Hi there, I just tried to flash Jelly Bean on to my S2 using Odin. For whatever reason Odin failed and now I'm left with a screen saying "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again." I can still access download mode but not recovery mode. Neither my laptop nor my desktop will recognise my S2 so I'm unable to try again using Odin.
Any suggestions? I hope it's not permanently ruined because I only got it on Wednesday
Best bet stop what your doing and start to read the many threads about what's happened to your phone. You can fix this but you need to stop and read.

Right, thank you. I've spent the morning trying to find relevant threads and build up some kind of picture but there is so much information, most of which only semi covers my particular situation, that I thought it would be easier just to ask for some help. Is there some sort of guide for this kind of thing or should I just continue my search through the depths of the forums?

I've actually just got it sorted now. Lots and lots of trying and re-trying Odin, re-installing drivers and rebooting. Not sure what finally got it to work but Jelly Bean is running beautifully.
Sorry about the addition of yet another post on this topic. It's difficult not to try to get direct help when you think you've just ruined your brand new and rather expensive device.

I have GS3 i9300 I got from someone off of craigslist. The phone was working fine when I tested it. I guess the forgot to take off a passcode . (Yes I feel dumb) . So now I'm locked out of the phone. When I tried to put it in download mode to reset the whole phone new , I get the dead android and the red triangle . Help Please ! I'll even donate ! :crying:

I was able to fix it. But there's some problems i'm still encountering. For one my pc won't recognize the phone. I have the drivers / kies installed and still nothing .It only charges.

Hi guys. I have seen and read through plenty of the same problems regarding the bootloop issue on the forum. I seem to be stuck somewhere different so I post this question. I hope someone can help.
I have a standard S3 I-9305 LTE in South Africa. Not rooted before or any mods. But somehow it started bootlooping a couple of weeks ago. I read and implemented the Recovery Mode- Cleared the cache and then rebooted, and it worked, plenty of times.
But now it has gone into a solid bootloop and i cannot access recovery mode. So read up about Download mode and installed Odin, Kies and the Cf Root file on my PC.
Now when I enter Download mode on the phone, and continue( press Volume Up) after the warning, the device restarts again. This I have done a hundred times and each time removing battery and waiting a couple of minutes. So essentially I cannot get Download mode to function but I do have access to it.
So this I know, this is a software , possible ROM problem, NOT hardware as the device worked perfectly after bootloop issue started.
I did the latest Firmware Upgrade to Android 4.2( i think, i r noob in this) yesterday. This was done on the phone itself under About-check-firmware. The Phone worked fine afterwards but then went into this never ending tormenting bootloop without yielding.
I live far from a proper service centre and I need my phone for work, thus very urgent.
I also have checked if the power button is stuck but it is not.
I am prepared to root the device and install any other ROM, Flash anything that can get me back on.
Any advice please?

Report your own post and ask a moderator to move it to the i9305 q&a forum.
Sounds like the emmc chip is corrupt or damaged, you may require a new motherboard.
Try plugging your phone into pc before you access download mode, remove the battery before you press volume up.

I have seen you have diligently answered many queries, please to be cautious saying it is a motherboard or hardware issue, it makes peoples heart sink before trying other avenues first. But don't get me wrong, the fact that you took the time to answer me makes you my hero. :good: And thanks.

i tryed search for answers, but for each answer i find in there are several different solutions, some mention hidden smth others that i wil brick it and so on, so in my opinion it was a plain simple question, mayby its annoying, that ppl with no experience what so ever in this, and taking ppl time in here, but thought that it also was a board for helping.

Just load it in ap/pda section takes time as it is 3.67 gb.
It might show not responding but wait for it to come .
Put ur phone to download mode (switch ot off then press lock+home+volume down buttons simultanusly, then click volume up when it asks to continue)
Connect it to pc . Click start and thats it.....

Hello new to the orum nort sure if this is posted undwer the right catagory so i just cleaned my grandpas place out he paased away a month ago i found a few older cell phones he had over the years one being a Galaxy A21 my question is the phone says "Phone Locked" this device was lost it has a pincode and airplane mode on the screen cant power it down or put in download mode or recovery mode i wouldnt getting his pics off of it or at the very least resetting it ive taken the back off the phone to disconnect the battery to see if i could get recovery mode that way or download mode i believe its running android 10 as i updated it for hgim. im wondering if there is any program i can download to get the phone to go into download mode or recovery mode to atleast get by the pin ive tried every button combination i can and every passcode i think he moght have use to no avail. is there anything out there that can help me. plz

Try extracting the flash with MTKClient (it appears to be a MediaTek device from GSMArena) while the phone is off and connected to your PC. Make sure you have the proper drivers installed. Let me know if you need help. I hope you are able to recover the data

i cant even power the phone down unles i disconnect the battery i was hoping there was a button combo i could do to get recovery or download mode i have the proper firware for the phone and everything i need to do an odin reflash but it fails cause no download mode ive tried a few of the paid unlock software but none wprk

I tried to download and install that mtk but it wanted me to install some other programs as well and couldnt get it working any help wouldnbe greatly appreciated
