Hey folks,
wanted to ask if there is a way to add another display language to my device. the ones i can select are English and Chinese. i wanted to add Spanish, Italian and German.
Any ideas?
has anyone tried to flash the Euro-RU on such a device ?

I recently bought a Touch Dual from Orange UK, and i'd like to know if i could change it's language to Portuguese, i prefer the windows mobile in English, but when i'm writing a text message in Portuguese, the T9 is in English.

if yuo prefer English yuo need only select yuor language in xt9 options!
you have the original rom or a cooked one?
I prefer Portuguese on messages.
The ROM is in English, but this is ok for me.
What i wanted is to disable the T9.

I just got an HTC Hero in Singapore and it only comes with English and Chinese. I would however like to add French as an input language. Any idea ?
you need a custom HTC_IME for the language keybaords
so far the only ones I have encountered are the:
HTC_IME: english
HTC_IME: chinese
HTC_IwinnI: Japanese

I use the program 'local custom' to change the language of the hero in French.
I installed the new rom from HTC, the problem is that language didn't change?

Settings/Local Settings===choose French
I only choose English ?
If you want french support ... use french forum

Belgian ROMs have English, French and Dutch on them.
And if you have the standard EU one, that also has English, French and Dutch in it.
You need to go to home > settings > locale and text > select locale
select one of the French locales. If you have the EU rom on it, one should be Francais (Belgique) listed.
Otherwise, it sounds like you have a hooky ROM.

I was wondering if there is any rom that come with spanish language included on it, cause a friend just got his gtablet but the only language in settings are US English and UK English.
Please let me know what rom to use to get spanish or multilanguage as soon as possible..

I just find out by taking a chance and flashing CM7 that every modded rom has all languages enabled. Close this topic please and excuse me.

It should be chinese, not japanese and english should be already supported by default. Are you sure you cannot jump into the chinese written menu and find the option to set english as default?
I own a different phone, but I have a miui too, so you could try set locale and language free by Brucedior which could help.
