Do a fresh install of firmware through Odin, if your current stock ROM is pretty much messed up and then root. You can follow the below tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2030758
Thanks man you solved a big problem for me
jangan pakai superoneclick , pakai cwm, lewat odin terus flash superuser

Hi,
At start:
I own Xperia Pro with root 2.3.4, my target is to get root ICS.
Tried stuff from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445819
also from here, 2nd post is for Pro: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1683957
So, first link - im installing CWM from market, i used recovery to install CM9 with "success" but when phone started, and i've restarted id 3 times, i still got 2.3.4. Im just doing "install from zip" or something like that in recovery. At this moment, ive got problem to enter recovery. I made a full factory, reinstalled CWM and i still cant get it working. Anyways, when i get recovery menu working, how should i use that ZIP to install it? Rly, i cant...
From 2nd link, when i use method B for PRO, after step 1, flashing "ready to root" ICS, remove battery, power on, leds flash on, then i connect to PC, start doomlord root and it hands on "starting daemon" or sth like that. So its not getting rooted. How do i fix that?
After installing puriness trough recovery from this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1780473
I got only black screen when phone is starting...
OR is there ANY other method, to at last get ICS with root working on my PRO? I've used also many methods from other forums, and still not working. Im getting angry at this moment :/
At last i've done root on ICS, but using other files than those from tutorials.
But now there is another problem - i cant manage to get recovery menu working fine - it starts when it want, volume down/up key does not work while starting phone, but after couple restarts, when i dont need recovery menu, its starting sometimes.
Now i wanted to flash trough CWM other rom, but i cant start recovery again...
Hello, sorry if I'm in the wrong forum, I'm new to XDA and rooting android devices in general.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P7500 (has both Wi-Fi and 3G on the back) and I tried to root it using this tutorial (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239185). I followed it exactly except for a part where you're supposed to launch odin 3 1.85. Trying to run that program would just give me some korean letters and it would exit after closing the korean letters. I downloaded Odin 3 v3.04 thinking that the version doesn't matter. Ran all things fine, finished the tutorial and the ClockWord mod or w/e said root finished. After that I couldn't access the system root folder to change some permissions. I downloaded an app to check if my device is rooted and it says that it's not. Now when I try to access those two options (holding power button + volume down button) they don't even come up and I just keep seeing the galaxy tab logo when holding that combination. Other than that, the tablet works fine.
What do I do now? How do I get the recovery and download modes back? Help would be greatly appreciated, plz!!!
EDIT: I also have some kind of Superuser app that the process installed for me.
EDIT2: Apparently I can access recovery and download mode! What do I do now? (I have ClockworkMod Recovery v4.0.0.4)
Final Edit ( I hope): I fixed it!. I installed (flashed) Superuser from the ClockworkMod Recovery and now it says that I am rooted.
hello all,
I have micromax a311.
I have rooted my phone with king root .i have installed twrp recovery.
also i have xposed framework ,gravity box,Greenify and other basic apps. My problem is that after rebooting my phone when it starts, it freezes for 10 seconds ,it always happen when ever my phone is rebooted and out of 90 % time it shows launcher 3 not responding. Any solution for this
Secondly, i have flashed su (replaced kingroot) so whenever i go in to recovery and then select system reboot it always asks to fix the root permission,to be precise it gives 2 option-
1. fix permission
2. do not fix permission
although any option selected does not create difference but its annoying as everytime i have to do this whenever i go to recovery
Any solution will be highly appreciated

So here is what happened.
I have a Samsung S3 i9300 with android jellybean (4.3). I wanted to play Pokemon GO real bad (damn me ! ) so I tried rooting my phone and upgrading it to 4.4.
I used the kingoroot from PC and successfully rooted my phone. Then i downloaded the TWRP manager app in my phone and went to install recovery (i have no idea what that is but i went as per instructions given on TWRP website), chose my device, the latest image available and then selected "install". It ran and then gave me a pop up that it is not successful because either the image is not for my device or my phone's "something" is locked (i don't exactly remember what it was.. but i searched and found out that Samsung galaxy S3 i9300 has "that" feature always unlocked). Then it gave me an option to "Reboot Now" and i chose that, which hanged my phone. I pressed the home button and it went to the home page and the phone was working OK besides the TWRP manager app which was stuck. So what I did was that I restart my phone using the power button. My phone restarted and then I got a black screen and the LED which indicates the charging status was blue (with changing shades), It got me worried so I took out the battery. When i put it again it was DEAD
I tried the soft reset, hard reset but no luck.
When i connect it to my PC it does give that connected sound but nothing else.
same thing i also ttied to play pokemon go
Tomorrow i will try to use a jig mayba that can help me to get in to download mode

Thank you!
Sorry if my English is bad.
Postscript: I was able to install ROOT but I still have the same problem

Is twrp still available on your device? If yes, wipe everything then reinstall the OS you were using.
If you do not have TWRP, or can't access it, hold down -power button, volume down and middle button, download your rom on your PC, and flash it through Odin, it will delete any modifications brought to the device!
