It's in development by Teamwin. Not out yet.
Hey thanks

I believe they have shifted their focus from fre3vo^2 to fre3dom in hopes to achieve S-Off faster.
they will release it after HTC releases the OTA that unlocks the bootloader

Not saying I disagree or agree but time will tell. Still, I can understand your frustration in waiting. I kinda miss my Evo 4G, also. I used to flash a different rom every week. But I'm going to wait it out instead of returning my 3D (like others have talked about). Regardless of who unlocks it first, (I really hope TeamWin will unlock it before HTC as I think HTC's method will likely come with a "catch"), I look forward to the excitement coming back to this phone. Until then, I will try to enjoy the stock rom while keeping an eye on XDA for permanent root.
When you root your 3d phone is Sprint notified by a signal by you rooting ur phone? a lot of ppl been telling me that :-/

Yes, but if you put on a tinfoil hat and root your phone in copper lined room, it should block this signal from ever getting to the evil dictators at Sprint.
No, if you use Revolutionary, it does not. If you use HTC's method to unlock the bootloader, then HTC has the information that you have unlocked your bootloader and maybe part/all of your warranty is void.

There already is an unroot method. And there's nothing to worry about with the error 16. Just call them and refresh your account. If they ask, you noticed it happen after updating your prl.

Here you go playa. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193540
I believe there's also another one floating around. Should work though.
Can't seem to figure it out. Can't even get computer to identify my phone. Willing to pay someone to unlock my bootloader please.
I don't want this to sound rude, but if you can't get adb working yourself, them maybe you don't need to unlock your phone, seems like you might just get into more trouble then you want.
If I may suggest you do some reading on how everything works and how to setup all the needed files. Here is a pretty good guide on setting up adb, http://theunlockr.com/2009/10/06/how-to-set-up-adb-usb-drivers-for-android-devices/ If you've already done that and are having other difficulties, can you be specific about your troubles so everyone here can help you out?
Have you tried to change pcs and do it all over?

In the time it takes you to respond to this post, you could be half done with the process.
You guys really need to learn how, and take the time to do it yourself, if you want to unlock, install bootloader, and roms. It's the only way to at least half understand what's going on in case you run in to trouble down the road. Really, if you don't have the time to do it now, take what time you do have to read up on the process, so when you do have time, you have a better understanding of what you are really doing. If you need help with the process, there are plenty of people here that will help.
Happy New Year.

Nice discussion.
Since the main thread on this topic got closed I figured I would start a "lounge" of sorts for all of us patiently or impatiently, politely or unpolitely, who are post OTA and stuck without root, but desperately wanting it, to chat, moan, thank/encourage devs, post rumors, etc.
Although I have already offered $20 to the person who firsts posts up a workaround, I am also sure the folks working on it are doing so more for the fun/challenge/glory.
Let the moaning begin...

My brother got this phone back in February with the ota installed so I've kinda been watching these threads for the poor guy. He came from a Tbolt, so yeah... Big upgrade. Luckily the stock Rom on this phone is great.

When I got mine a few days ago it was 1.15, but uh yea I updated, opps. So you might be lucky, just unlock the bootloader on the 1.15 FIRST and KEEP the unlock.bin in a safe place. THENNN you can safely update to 2.04 the unlock and root and all that.
I got my DNA Friday and right away it tried to download the update. I immediately turned the phone off. Oncei turned the phoje back on, I started the root process. Now I'm rooted , unlocked and S-Off

Also a bit odd that thread got locked. It was the defacto lounge and definitely was not mostly development related posts, then, all of a sudden, thread locked. Maybe I missed some of the OT bickering that got cleaned up.

Instead of just gloating why don't you tell everyone where you got your phone from, and the date?
Although stockpiles differ, it seems that most new units already have the update.

I'll throw up $25 to whoever gets us a new root/unlock method to work.
And since I'm impatient, if you get it today, I'll double that lol
It's not that I don't have complete faith and confidence in our devs, but I lost patience and just pulled the trigger on a S-Off and rooted DNA on Swappa. I will throw mine up for about the same price and hopefully it will end up a wash. I'm stoked!

I am not a total noobe. I used Hasoon's to unlock my bootloader. It is now relocked. Phone is s-on. I have been reading that I can flash ROMs with the phone in this state. I want to flash ARHD because I have heard it improves battery life, which now sucks. When I try to flash 4EXT from Hasoon's, I get the following error: Signature Checking: FAILED (remote signature verify fail). I don't want to mess up. Is anyone willing to give me some helpful hints for doing this without bricking my phone?
First, wrong section. Two, read. Just read. Rooting, setting up a recovery for the Amaze is very easy. Like I said, as long as you read, you will be fine.

when you flash a ROM that is not signed, you need to disable signature checking prior to flashing the ROM, otherwise you will get the error message. You are not a noob but a novice
Your not suppose to help them when they post questions in the wrong section that just encourages them to do it again. Especially over a question they could have googled
