Hello guys.
This may sound like a complicated request, and it may be impossible to implement, but wouldn't it be nice if we could activate the multiwindow "pane" without using/holding the back button? A la SwipePad/LMT/Glovebox/Swapps style, using invisible swipe areas on the edge/s of the screen to show the "pane" of apps for multiwindow. That would really make multiwindow AWESOME for multitasking!
As it is now, for some apps, long-pressing the back button causes some apps to actually recognize that the back was pressed and would, simply, "go back" instead of usually doing nothing. This really irks me. I hope you understand what I'm talking about...
Anyway, if any developer works on this idea, I would be so grateful. :fingers-crossed:
Use simplistic framework control
GMD Gesture Control will allow you to activate multiwindow and you get to define the gesture

In case any developers are looking for new ideas to fold in....
I would like to see a custom circular menu surround the spen tip when I long press and have about 12 customizable options in the "full circle" menu. It seems like a waste that long press with the pen does the exact same thing as my finger. Something like Pie but full circle.
What do you want to see?

I'd like to see the AOKP octo lock screen with customizable shortcuts/apps and icons as well as the AOKP toggles in touchwiz roms
How about google wallet? JK I would like to see an option for a stock jellybean note 2 with s-pen capabilities, or maybe a siri like feature that works better than S-Voice. For the love of god im from michigan and have a "normal" accent and that stupid thing CANNOT ever get what I say right, Siri never had any problems during my brief stint on an iphone 5, neither does the google now.
The lmt launcher is only thing I added. That's the only thing the note 2 is missing. Something that keeps you from reaching across the device for the back key.
I would love for the Note 2 to allow any app for the Multi-View function w/out root... =)

You can use back and the menu button with the spen, you hold the button on the spen and use gestures. Look at the manual.

I'll ask wugfresh next time I see him about working on something like that.
i really want smart scroll that is apparently coming with the GS4.
It would be nice if we could remap the long press action on the hardware buttons.

Yes I know that they can't add s-pen support to the capacitive buttons. But it is being added to future devices. I use LMT to avoid the buttons in general.

I'd like customization of the notification drop down (remove toggles, remove brightness slider). As well as true TABLET MODE on touchwiz, something akin to Paranoid Androids hybrid set up.
I feel the tablet mode mod that exists now leaves something to be desired. That's not to say that I don't appreciate whoever came up with it to begin with, I would just like a little more polish.
Hi Guys, i am starting this thread to share some of the Official LG hidden options which have been overshadowed by a race of themes, patches, custom roms, etc to make your device better. I've found these hidden options after fiddling around with my device for hours and I was surprised to know it was there the whole time and I was unaware about it. I know many of us will be surprised but would also like to:good: Invite people to share if they know they have found a secret inside their device.
Changing Homescreen Icons:
This is the pictures of my Homescreen before the change:
Steps-1
Press & hold icon for 2 secs & then release. as you release you'll see a small paint brush picture on the top of the icon. When you see that quickly tap the Icon again.
Step 2:
Now you can choose icons from the presets or use our own picture from the phone by clicking on CREATE PHOTO ICON.
Step 3:
Now select the icon picture from your gallery and done! :good:
Wow!
OMG! I Surprised. But i don't think that its HIDDEN.
But Nice.
Ya may be not for you but i thought sharing would be nice.

Has anyone had issues getting the one handed (smaller screen view) working? I am stock unrooted and I have checked the box in settings to allow one handed access on all screens. I've watched all of the videos about how to make it work by swiping from off the screen edge and off again in one motion without lifting your finger and it still won't activate. I'm running nova launcher and I tried in the browser and several other apps with no sucess. Any help would be appreciated.
Nick
You need to make sure you have it turned on. When I got my phone, on Saturday, by default it was off.

Thanks for the help folks. I had an app that required accessibility to be turned on. Accessibility will stop the screen shrink from working. Turned it off and all is good.
Is there any way to remove the bottom launcher bar off the home screen? I can remove all apps but one. I want it completely gone if possible.
Only way to do that is to change launcher, and then have a swipe gesture to hide/show it.
Yeah, use GMD auto hide soft keys. Must be rooted. It's the best. I have mine set up with all gestures instead of buttons.

I wouldn't be too scared to root. I really know very little about rooting and all that and this was the second device I rooted. There are more than enough resources on Xda as well as YouTube just to make it that much more idiot proof. As long as you are smart with your mods and stuff you'll catch on really easily and learn as you go. I never flash roms or anything, just correct the little things (Like hiding the navigation bar, fixing volume issues) and really enhance my experience. And it is easy enough to go back to stock. If I could do it, just about anybody can do it.

The question is : where is the root guide.
There are some floating around for other flavors of the G2, but I haven't seen an officially well received root CM release
but I'm definitely looking
I love the double tap on and off. But it appears that double tap off only works when on the lock screen. Is it possible to adjust a setting and have double tap screen off from any screen?
For some reason HTC did not include that option. I know some launchers allow you to do this and I'm pretty sure there is also an Xposed framework that can do it too (Need to root).
You can set double tap gesture with nova launcher. I use a tasker action to lock it, but theres also screen lock apps on gplay

This is exactly what I do with Apex Launcher and Tasker with Secure Settings. Double tap home screen re-locks the device.

Thanks guys! I am rooted, running Skyfall but that rom doesnt have xposed. Will try tasker win conjunction with Nova launcher! That power button on top with this long phone is just too cumbersome lol
found an app called tap tap app that does this
found an xposed module that can do this
doubletaptosleep is the name of the module
double tap the status bar and phone goes to sleep.
works great
