Hi All
First and foremost a happy new year to all members.
I hope someone can help me as I am looking for a rom that I had on one of my old prophets, which died on me over a year ago and I have lost my copy.
The rom started up with the Vista logo and closed down this way as well. The rom was virtually identical to the diamond in fact I think is was nearly a direct port.
I have tried looking in the forums but have had little success and wondered if anyone could give me a few pointers.
I am not sure but I think it was either a 6.0 or possibly a 6.1
Thanks in advance.:
Found it
Hi again
Sorry for being such a pillock but I have just found it in the wiki. Please end this post here.
plz share ure cognition. Which rom was it?
Im new to porting roms, but would like to give it a try. Im just curious if anyone could point me to a thread or sight that could help me start learning how to port a rom to the atrix. I know there is rom kitchen but from what I've read it doesn't seem to work when porting roms from a different phone to this one. Any help is appreciated.
Hey so if anyone knows how to test roms on android sdk emulator with your pc please help me!
I found a really old guide from modaco and the problem I first enountered was that it wouldn't give me some ID number or something on cmd.
So a step-by-step guide would be great!
Also if you guys could direct me to could guides etc. for someone who has zero experience and wants to get into developing that'd be awesome!
anyone?

Hi Chris my name is Andrew and i might be able to give you some basic info and guidelines. First i would suggest using a ROM kitchen for basic ROM modding. I would recommend using Dsixda's ROM kitchen http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246 .When you feel confident that you can get on tothe more complex stuff you can check my tutorial about compiling from source code http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667551 .After you get over that then the Internet should become your mentor in advanced source code editing (most of the time anyway but you shouldn't feel shy about asking something if unclear)
Hello, I have ported android 4.4.4 to the galaxy player 4.2 via the Android Kitchen and i need help fixing some problems. Right now the main issue is that after flashing the ROM the device wont boot..... I know its a big problem but it'd be cool to get this thing working so i figured i should ask. I've been searching Google for the last 2 hours but I've came up short. If you help me then I'll be more than glad to give u props in the development thread for this project once its finished.
Ok well i decided not to use the kitchen to port kitkat because it isnt a great idea so i have decided to port it the way dragonizer told me too(link to guide below). But the thing is is theat i need help getting the files i need. I have been constantly been searching for files for 2 days so far and have barely made a dent. I have the repositories i need but the rest of the files i am asking for help to find. Now i wil post the file names of the ones i find when i find them. Thanks for the help and if you have any questions for me on the project or will like to become a contributor to the project then pm me and we can get this thing made.
