Good Portable Speaker? - HTC Amaze 4G

I'm looking for a good and preferably inexpensive portable speaker for my Amaze. I have an iHome that I got for free but i'm looking for something that has louder sound. Do any of you have any experience or can recommend a speaker to me?

Which iHome do you use? I have two iHome IMH60's and they're pretty loud. It's louder than the x-minis and produces a deeper "bass" tone.

I have something similar to the IHM16 that came for free when I bought the Asus Transformer Prime

I recommend AYL Portable Mini Speaker. I've been having mine for more than three months so far with no issues. Good sound quality, loud, and has long battery life. It's cheap and affordable and you can get one from Amazon for only $16 with free shipping here: http://www.amazon.com/Portable-Spea...d=1362100056&sr=8-1&keywords=ayl+mini+speaker

Thanks for the suggestion. Does anyone have any experience with these http://tech.woot.com/offers/rukus-bluetooth-sound-system-white-5 They look good

best portable speakers for the transformer

hey guys i have look around the forums for the best portable speakers for the transformer but i have not found the information i am looking for
since you all know the TF speakers aren't the best i am looking for small perhaps battery operated speakers for my TF, now i have looked at the speakers people have mentioned in other threads but i am not sure if the sound on those particular speakers are any better then the ones the TF because the speakers some one may use on a phone may be quieter then one may use on a tablet
so if you guys could recommend some speakers perhaps around 20 bucks that would be great but if its more then is ok to
thanks in advance
hard to beat the x-mini II capsule speaker @£13 shipped from amazon uk
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Generation-Capsule-iPhone-Laptop-Speaker/dp/B001UEBN42
you can daisychain multiple units or do what i do and use a stereo splitter and 2 speakers to get stereo output, but even using just one it beats the TF speakers (and most laptops) comfortably for volume and delivers superior audio quality including decent bass response.
Look up "foxLv2 Portable Bluetooth Speakers" on Amazon.

I just received Monster ClarityHD Precision Micro Bluetooth Speaker from amazon. Overall, its a pretty good speakers for the price $70.00 I was amazing at how far the range was. My tablet was 30 feet away from the speakers and it was still able to pull in the sound without any issues. There are buttons on the speaker that will let you could adjust the volume and also switch tracks. There is also a 3.5mm audio input jack which you could use instead of using bluetooth. The sound is pretty good. Much better then the speakers on the TF. Overall, I am pretty happy with the purchase. At first when I was trying to pair the speakers with my tablet I kept on getting FC with Prime 1.6. I eventually had to do a data wipe in order to get it to sync.
I got these a week or so ago. They put out pretty good quality sound considering the price and are very portable and cheap.

I've received mine yesterday and I'm really really impressed about the volume and the sound quality for so little speakers..also very good the bass response..
I've bought only one to try it (13£ shipped from amazon uk) but I think I will buy at least another!
I recommend this one to everyone!!
I went with this one http://www.amazon.com/iHome-iHM60GT...733E/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1318962556&sr=8-3. It gets pretty loud and bass response is pretty good for such a small speaker. I picked mine up at Target so I could just return it if I didn't like it, but I like
When I connect BT speakers and watch video with DICE player it will slow down to an absolute slo-mo with no sound. Nobody else have that problem using BT speakers?

Good pair of headphones

I'm not that impressed with the sound quality on the flyer and was looking into getting some over, or on, the ear headphones. Any of you guys have suggestions for some nice quality ones?

There are literally hundreds of great over the ear headphones out there, but because I travel on airplanes a lot, I use a set of the Sony Active noise cancelling phones and they are magnificent. I don't remember the model number but I will look it up. I paid about $70 on sale for them. They fold nicely into a case.

My opinion of Beats by Dr. Dre is pretty much the same as most Monster products. Stylish and high quality but over priced and over speced without providing additional technical listening benefits for the overages. Plenty of equal or better products at half the price unless you are into fashion plates.

Well overpriced I agree with but they do work well. I have tried one of my friends, and I can't hear anything but the movie I was watching. They do work.

What I don't like about V Moda is their low durability. I've owned a few V-Modas and I practically babied them, but still, they lose their volume.
What's your price range admiral? Do you need noise cancelling and what type of music do you listen to?
Here are some I own or have heard. But again price range and music type would help.

I ended up getting a cheap pair of Sennheiser isolation headphones. Paid about $40. It'll do for now. Eventually I'll be getting some noise-canceling for when I start traveling.

I bought some Beats Solo HD's for my son for Xmas and was actually very surprised by the sound quality. I honestly think they sound better than my Sennheiser's (which I paid $220 for).
On top of it, I only paid $130 for his (on sale).
I am not normally an advocate for overpriced stuff, but when looking for headphones I didn't rule out anything.
I went to a few electronics places that sell headphones and had them available for listening. I have actually compared Sennheiser, Skullcandy, Bose and Beats. I have also used Vmoda (which fell apart) as well as many other types for Bluetooth and wired in-ear from Sony, Panasonic and so on.
All that said, the Beats Pro had the best sound in my opinion, however @400 dollars they are cost prohibitive. Then come the Bose, which sound well enough, but by comparison seem kind of flimsily constructed. The Sennheiser are a little better built, but the sound leaves a little to be desired (when comparing the different headphones head-to-head). The Skullcandy are good disposable headphones. The Panasonic "Marshmallows" if you can find them are a solid in-ear with marshmallow squishy ear pieces like most of the isolating disposable earplugs, which isolate sound very well.
I hate to give the Beats the credit, but the really do sound better, so I went out on my local Craigslist and found a lightly used pair for $200. This is definitely worth the money. If your not sure which to pick, then head to a local Best Buy, FYE, or other music store that sells headphones, you can actually try out some of the more popular models. What sounds good to one person, may not sound as nice to another person because the music type plays a huge role in selection.
I strongly suggest Panasonic "Marshmallows" for a great headphone under $20. I found out my local Big Lots was selling them for $10. I bought a pair for my siblings, and backup for me over the holidays.
The buds have plenty of bass, and because they effectively suppress the outside noise you don't need to turn up volume as loud. They are great workout phones. They don't come out easily, and they really block out all the annoyances that come with every gym.

Just sold my ibeats for $75 today. I like the base and quality of the earphones but couldn't stand the cheap flimsy cord and weak highs and mids. I'm looking for another set of earphones and am down to four. I would like audio controls on the cord but it's not a necessity since I prefer sound quality over audio controls any day of the week. Which set do you prefer and why? Your comments would be greatly appreciated and really helpful. If you have another set of earphones in mind, well please feel free to post a comment about the. I'd recommend these SOUL by Ludacris SL150CB for the perfect sound quality. I'm amazed by how clean these sound. They are more expensive than those you're looking at and they're over-ear. Just a friendly suggestion. Plus they have in-line controls with a mic. (They actually come with 2 cables, one with the in-line and one without it).
As for in-ear, I haven't used any of those, but would recommend the Bose based on past experience with their products. Generally they just have a cleaner sound. I might recommend the SOUL in-ear headset also. I'm not sure if they have the in-line control, but they should have some with it. The headphones I have are very clean sounding with just the right amount of bass for everything. Just a thought
If you are lucky you can still find Klipsch X5 for under $100 still, bass is clear with instrument that is better than the others listed here. Its actually a $225+ iem that are on sale for under $100 now. The S4 is a bit sibilant vs the others, but bass production is solid for the price.
I would also say really take a look at the Monster Turbine line, may not be as flashy or what not as the Beats, but they sound better for the same price as the Beats(after all Monster is the company that made the Beats line). Trust me these are way better than the iBeats and the Beats by Dre, at the same price.

I should sell mine too, I have a pair of Etymotic ER-4's I've been using for a couple years now.

I had the Shure SE215, and sold them, I thought the sound was very weak. I DO however have the Shure SE530s and these are the best in-ear phones in existance, bar none!! Assuming you're not in the market for $350-$400 earbuds, however, for ~ $75 (they were $55 when I got them) the klipsch s4s sound fantastic. I compared them against the bose, and thought they (the klipsch) sounded much better. ymmv
If sound quality is more important to you than bass, I go with the Etymotic MC2s. They include a mic and volume controls. I owned the Klipsch Image S4, and while they were good, they were a bit heavy on the bass. Etymotics are cleaner with less bass distortion.
My vote for the best over the ear headphones goes to V-Moda Crossfade. Nearly half the price of Beats and the sound is amazing. Plus they come in a variety of colors to satisfy whatever vibe your going for.

My vote goes here too. The Crossfade LP can be found for a little over $100 on eBay and sound great. They also have amazing build quality and look frekin sick. Check them out, you won't be disappointed if you buy a pair.
Well i appreciate everybody's input. Those all seem like good pics but i ended up going with the bose mie2 and etymotic research hf5. Im going to do an extensive test on both and return the one that i dont want. Im leaning more towards the etymotics though due to its earbud inserts.

Well, I guess this is a very ymmv thing. Based on your recommendation, and the excellent reviews the Triplefis get, I ordered a pair and lived them a week. I don't care for them, thought the bass was boomy and the imaging not as good as the 530s, so I returned them. I know all about requiring a good seal with earbuds, so that wasn't my issue.
But I'm always searching for a less expensive alternative to the Shures (I know the cable's going to tear off one of these days).
I highly recommend Etymotic headphones. I have the mc5's. They have great bass without muffling mids like beats and excellent sound isolation. Etymotic.com also check out head-fi.org for rank and reviews

V-Moda headphone question

Has anyone compared the V-Moda Crossfade LPs to the M80s??
I bought the Crossfades & I'm not overly impressed with the sound running off a Fiio amp.
I just read a review of both that gave the LPs a 6.5/10 rating for sound but gave the M80s a 9.5/10.
Anyone here agree/disagree with this??
By the way, if anybody wants to buy the brand new Crossfades I will sell them for $75 or BO. email me [email protected]
I can't really speak to the quality of the headphones, as I have Sennheiser cans for home and work. But I am curious about the FIIO amp. Which model are you using? I would like something new that I can throw in my work bag to use with my work MBP or when I'm sitting at my office.
I have a pair of Crossfades and they are great. Maybe you got a pair with bad drivers?

No, they work fine, but I totally agree with the review I read. I'm just too picky about sound I guess.
My son thinks they sound awesome but don't have enough bass (he likes my beats studio cans).

Both are awesome, the E6 is tiny (about the size/weight) of a matchbook and it kicks ass. The best part is it was only $20.

I really think it's just Vmoda. I have the LPs also and run them through a Steinberg AI when I record, but they're still not that great. I like them enough for most music, but I'll probably be getting some Senns in the near future.
But now you have me wondering about the amp. I might have to get the amp with the Senns when I get them. Which one would you recommend for staying at home? Portability isn't an issue for me, so would the E11 be better?

I would definitely get the E11 for home use, it has more features and more power.
YEs...I have both LP's and M-80. I think you will love the M-80's. There is a major difference in their sound curve...V-MODA will always emphasize some bass, but the M-80's are much much brighter, less bass heavy, and overall a fantastic "true" sound.
They are my new favorite cans. They still have the super-durable spring steel construction, quality materials throughout, customizable plates, solid carrying case and kevlar cord of the LP...all things that put them way ahead of the Beeet$$. Now with a really quality sound to match. Seriously, listening to a pair is the only way to know....
RadioShack carries them in their best-selling locations, and they will let you have a listen. Yeah..that RadioShack.

AKG Headphones

Guys,
What are the new supplied headphones like in quality for sound and overall design?

Personally, i found them to fit brilliantly, very comfortable, and to me ( i am not a audiophile sorry to say) sound really good, thank you for the link.
Likewise i thought they were a good fit, plus the sound from them sounded (to me) really good with lots of bass that you tend not to get with other stock headphones in ear that i have tried, but im no audiophile either.
As an audiophile I found them to be quite decent for stock headphones. The sound quality is definitely good. I haven't yet had the time to change the ear tips to fit my ears and test if they fall off easy or anything. That being said, I might stick to Bose earphones.
After reading that they are expensive, I was hoping for a way better experience. I like the EarPods/Airpods from Apple way more.

That makes me very happy to hear. The main reason I didn't purchase the V2O when it came out was I'd missed out on the pre-order and wouldn't be getting the B&O earbuds. That and the memory card I'm looking forward to, along with VR headset / controller.

I felt the sound quality was crystal clear. Treble and vocals are crisp but bass was on disappointing side. It isn't as punchier as the one's we get with HTC One series. Maybe I need to tweak equalizer more to get that heavier bass but default settings didn't sound deep enough. Again, I maybe wrong.
I'm pretty sure this is one more of those cases where you get a practically different product for different markets, but the ones I got in Serbia are pretty crappy :/ I'm no audiophile, but compared to my cheap Xiaomi Piston 3, these are so tinny, low-volume and just plain bad I was actually thrilled when I saw them, tried them right away, but just put them back in the box after 2 minutes...
They're not bad. Pretty clear high end and decent mids but somewhat underwhelming low-end. Still better than the buds that came with my S6E and Galaxy Tab 4 7.0.

I learned a while ago not to trust loose Samsung headsets.
I've bought replacements for 2 different Samsung "included" headsets, and in both cases the originally included headset sounded great while the replacements sounded cheap.
Their sound profile is slightly U shaped with emphasize on the bass & highs. Not really neutral or truly high end but by far the best stock earphones that I've ever heard.
I'm a musician and I own Sennheiser HD650, HD600, Shure SE425, Etymotic ER4P & AKG K702 with several dedicated headphone amps, so I know what I'm talking about...
I persoanlly think these headphones are the best of any inbox headphones I've ever used and I've used a lot.
Dont forget to use the equaliser aswell it can enhance the sounds for more clarity base and so on.
To be honest, they sound good but are poor in quality. They're cheap plastic and the right one on my pair has driver flex like crazy.
These AKG headphones are ip68/waterproof or not ?
I thought the stunk when I first tried them. I use PowerAmp and found that I had to go in and adjust the equalizer for both headphones and BT.
Very Happy Now!
I deleted Google Play Music before realizing that it was the default music player for the S8 series. I would assume it needs the same tweaks as Power Amp.
