SuperCid - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I would gladly appreciate any help. Problem:
I tried to supercid my phone. All went through using this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771069
but when i checked to see if all went well and checked the cid via bootloader it was showing me the same SPCS_001...Note: I'm on 3.16 firmward hboot 2.09 I am unlocked via htc dev and rooted.

umm
I'm no expert but i used the facepalm yesterday. (supercid and s-off) Maybe visit their irc chat. Very helpful guys and very easy method also. Maybe they can help you. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2163013

The problem is that you are on 3.16 firmware. It will only work if you aren't on 3.16

To root your phone you have to use HTC Dev to unlock your bootloader, then install a custom recovery, like TWRP. To gain S-off on the latest OTA update (Hboot 2.09/baseband ending in 1210) you can use Moonshine. It's Windows friendly. You have to be rooted first to use it
Here is the link to Moonshine:

I have looked thru the noob guide and the General forum and no luck. I need to send my Bolt in for replacement they sent the new one already but need to send the old one back. Can someone point me the way to the thread please. It was rooted with the 3 step method

As long as you didn't use Revolutionary to root or install the hard patched hboot from Shadowmite's thread (you will know if you did) the directions for rooted users in this thread will get you back

That is not referring to the MR1 build. It says 1.0xxxx. MR1 is 1.13.605.7. That is the pre-release build that was used for downgrading in the original root process. The problem was that build had an old hboot that wouldn't interrupt the flash before the security warning happens. Which was a serious issue when we only had 2 RUUs newer than that to recover with. Anything from the release firmware (1.12.605.6) and up should be perfectly fine.

This does work for revolutionay too to get s-on. I have done it twice. These developers are amazing. You need to know ADB to do it but it works.

I know you can get back to s-on from Revolutionary. I was just saying as long as he didn't use Revolutionary the simple method in the thread I linked would work just fine.
Edit: I just realized you linked to the same instructions I did and you can NOT get back to s-on with that method if you used revolutionary. Revolutionary installs a hard patched hboot that prevents it from being overwritten by any hboot without issueing a specific fastboot oem command.

Y don't u just do the lazypanda s-off now since you are stock. U don't need fresh rom to do it. The new base is installed when u install a new rom on the new base. Just flash radios separately which u can do once s-off or just being on 1.12 I believe.

Yeah but the instructions state to not do it with 1.22 (what i'm currently on) and only to do it with 1.13. Or am i mistaken?

Why would you downgrade hboot and then run ruu to install the latest hboot? If you downgraded to 1.12 you should have no problem running lazy panda. Am I missing something?
On unlimited's site it says the rom requirements to run lazy panda is 1.13 RUU. I was confused on that as well but it hasn't been successful. I'm currently 1.12 hboot with 1.22 software version. So at this point just run the lazy panda?
Someone in mac's development thread stated they were able to run lazy panda on 1.12. You should ask about it in that thread and see if anyone can help
i ran it out of the box no RUU just ran it
Was that you that mentioned it then? I was having a hard time remembering who mentioned it lol
WHOO HOO! I'm S-Off!!! Ok am I finally ready for customer roms etc and I guess i need to flash radios of course.
edit: Thanks guys!
Let me know what customer roms u install. Those sound interesting.

Depends upon your Hboot version. If you're on Hboot 1.12, 1.15, 1.19 or 2.09 (software version 3.15, baseband/radio ending in 1119) you can use Facepalm. If you're on Hboot 2.09 (software version 3.16, baseband/radio ending in 1210) you can use Moonshine. Both methods are Windows friendly and can be found in the Original Development section. Try to downgrade using the instructions to get s-off, once yo get to the 3.15 version, download the 3.15 RUU, follow the instructions on unlimited.io, I've heard that you can use windows is just not supported by the devs you re on your own, it's real easy, just take off the "sudo./" part on each command and you hold be good to go, good luck!

Pretty sure htcdev is the only route unless facepalm bypasses it . I haven't checked out that method. HTC dev works so why would anyone spent countless hours trying to gain root when a perfectly fine route exists.
