Hello I am there is an upadte.
I am running the latest firmware and I am at my wits end. I have the latest cwm pro installed. Every time I open it it tells me there is an update to CWM Touch. I have downloaded the file and installed onto sd and external card. I have tried to install it thru recovery and thru CWM..and I still cant get it to install or show up, and it still tells me that there is an update when I open cwm pro..PLEASE someone help me I have spent the day trying to fix it
:crying:
Don't use the cwm app, just boot into recovery normally
The app is out of date and won't be updated
Hello so u r saying download the cwm touch update, boot manually into recovery and then install it from there?

so i just bought a vibrant with firmware 2.1 update 1 and the build ends with ji6.
i was able to root the device with no problems and now that i installed rom manager i cant seem to install clockwork recovery. every time i click on it on rom manager noting happens. Is there another way for me to install clockwork recovery ? i searched everywhere. please any help would be most appreciated
i had the same problem yesterday, ROM manager pretty much just downloads an update.zip file, so when you hit reinstall packages it takes you to CWM... well i have the newest version of the update.zip file i could find (still outdated).... but after you flash a new ROM the clockwork mod should be installing fine, it did for me..
so i attached the update.zip file that i found.. so just put this in your sd card (not in any files), delete any update.zip files you may have and then rename this to update .... it will automatically turn to update.zip... then just reboot into recovery then hit reinstall packages -- then it should work
wow thanks that did the job.now it if isnt a much of a bother but can i flash to a custom mod 2.2 axura and then unlock? cause the unlocker cant seem to find a unlock code
I got a Vibrant last night..
I rooted it. I see superuser icon so I know it has been rooted. Next, I downloaded clockworkmod and then did flash recovery and picked vibrant. And then I picked install from SD card and picked the cfw I wanted to install. It rebooted to Android recovery mode. There I picked reinstall packages and installed the update.bin (again) and rebooted the phone..
Then, I used the ODIN 1.7 to flash back to the default and did the whole process all over again but I can't seem to get into Clockworkmod recovery mode...

Copy recovey-update.zip from /sdard/clockworkmod directory to /sdcard as update.zip. Reboot into recovery and reinstall the packages

nope.. it says "E:can't open /sdcard/update.zip (bad) installation aborted" when there is clearly an update.zip file there..
I have a rooted MDK Verizon S4 with SuperSU installed. I had been trying to use Rom Manager to install clockworkmod recovery and every time, it comes back with the message that it has been successfully installed. When I try to boot into recovery, it wouldn't work. I finally installed GooManager and went ahead and installed TWRP. Now I am able to boot into TWRP with no issues, but when I try to overwrite and install clockworkmod recovery from within Rom Manager, it again comes back with the message that it has been successfully installed, but it still boots into TWRP.
I understand that I can use TWRP to switch over to a different rom, but I am just befuddled as to why I am not able to install clockworkmod. Can you guys please help me understand what I am doing wrong?

You can either ODIN the CWM edition you want (for example Philz Touch Recovery - http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/jfltevzw) - get the md5 file of course for ODIN. You can also try to flash the zip file of Philz Touch Recovery from your SDCard (same site - http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/jfltevzw) through TWRP. Reboot into recovery and see what happens.

Thanks. When I was trying to install CWM within Rom Manger, I ended up paying for the touch upgrade, hence my desire to try and install CWM form within Rom Manager... It's just a bit frustrating that I can't figure out what's going on..
I have been using Philz Touch for a while now. I am on the latest version. Today i wanted to install a new ROM. After i Clean To install a new rom it reboots the phone and then just loads forever. chkdsk /x /f e:
That fixed it.
