[HELP] xperia sola DEAD DEAD! - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

HELP! Guys. Most of you must be knowing me. I make custom ROMs for your phones. My Xperia SOLA was working perfectly FINE last night.
I've not done anything to the phone for a few days. Same CM9 ROM for 5 days now, not a single change. Put my phone for charging at night, and now it won't start.
If I plug to charging or USB, it shows RED LED. Cannot Fastboot, Cannot go into Flashmode, cannot Soft Reset, Cannot completely switch off device.
I CAN'T DO ANYTHING! Help guys, I can't buy a new phone it's been less than 6 months. And I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING to make the phone like this in the first place!!!
PLEASE HELP!

Your bad buddy......
Why not take it to the service center????
I know you would have tried everything....
So the last option left is to take it to the service center.....

My first red xperia sola also had this problem... I was on stock gingerbread... I did not flash any rom on it... But the next day, my xperia sola could not start up. I try to charge it and still red led... So I bring it to the service centre and they give me a new one.. Bring it to the service centre immediately!!

You charge your phone with the phone on or off?
If off, probably your kernel doesnt support offline charging. That's why it wont charge your phone.

I've been there too, try to press the "reset button" (vol + + power) and see if the phone vibrates, and if yes do it vibrate 3 times and try to get it going again in flashmode.
My phone have locked bootloader, i don't know if it is a kernel error..

Battery over drain. Finally got it to work
Confused as to what happened.
No warranty on my phone.

Tried everything. Flashing and all.
Kept trying to Hard SHUT DOWN.
Finally plugged into charger again and left it for an hour. Managed to boot. Charged 1% in 30 minutes (Was stuck at 0% till I wiped battery stats again).
Waited for 2% then flashed stock ICS. Charged till full (took 3 hours) then back to CM9

Hello! Sorry for digging this up, I can't find help anywhere. My girlfriend has the same problem with her SOLA, that is not in warranty time by now. When I plug in the charger red light turns on and then off after a few seconds. Does not respond to Vol Up + Pwr or anything. What did you exactly do to get it to charge?
Thanks in advance

Just wondering are u new to flashing custom roms on x10?
i.e. do u understand what flash mode is?
Sorry to sound patronising.
Also have u actually tried using flashtool? Or better Sony Ericsson update service?

Does the screen light up at all when you put in a battery? If it lights up slightly but still is "black screen" then try this to get into flash mode: remove battery, insert usb, hold back button and keep holding while you replace the battery.
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
are you sure the batteries have a decent charge?
Im not new, and yes I know what flash mode is, no its all black screen, the batteries are either low or dead, either way the phone won't offline charge

try leaving it plugged in for a little bit with the battery in anyway, an hour or so. If you're on a custom rom it might still charge enough to get it into flash mode
ive been trying, its like it doesnt have a pluse, no response to anything at all!! I'm dieing right now because I need to flash a rogers ROM on it and its kapput, it's so weird. Why me..

seriously plug it in with the battery in and leave it alone for a while...
I know it's tempting to keep trying, but you'll just drive yourself batty. Best to leave it alone take a breather for an hour, go have a beer and hopefully by the time you get back it will be responsive

its probably your motherboard that has burned up so if you can't get three phone in flash mode you are kind of screwed right know and the only option you have is to send it for repair and hope for the best.

not really, if both batteries are dead it could easily be just that....
find an external charger or a friend with an extra x10 and try charging the batteries before trying!

all I'm saying is give it a shot before you send it away, worth trying to charge the batteries before going through all that trouble
try going in store to see if they might have an extra battery you can try, etc...
its been 5 hours
I think its motherboard, im sending it in with gingerbread... I hope its so messed they cant see gingerbread, I have less the minimum wadge so I'm ****ed if they findout... good bye mini laptop, ill miss you

I hear you can take the back cover off pull the battery and plug in the charger and you might get a light on the phone after a minute or two then with it still plugged in push the battery back and let sit over night.
You can also try this after 5 minutes with no light and leave overnight as I read a few places it allows the battery to charge
yes, if you take out the battery, then plug the phone into a *WALL* charger *NOT COMPUTER USB PORT* the green led should light up. when its green, try inserting the battery, then leave it alone for a while and see if it starts to charge.
good luck

I had exactly the same situation, zero battery and also feared that I lose my X10. What do I did?
1) Downloaded X10a_2.1update1_r2.1.A.0.435_Generic.ftf (and put it in the proper FlashTool folder).
2) Removed the battery for 1 minute, put the battery in the mobile again but don't powered the mobile on and also don't used the USB cable.
3) Started Flashtool and choosed to flash the file, and only connected the USB cable while pressing the "Back" button. When it ended flash, disconected the cable and... voila! It was working OK again. After that I installed my fave-super-complete WB ROM again.
So, why I'm being sooo detailed if you aren't n00b? Because when stressed, we sometimes forget something.
Hope the Stock 2.1 ROM in FlashTool helps you like it helped me.

i installed a custom rom, and it started losing power gradually even when it is connect to the computer. next day
it was like the condition rite now. you can see the red light, but the phone cannot boot, neither enter fastboot.
Try this: Not sure if it will work...
1) Just connect it to usb cable to pc... Leave it for few hrs..
2) Then open Sony PC Companion and try repair...
I Accidentaly bricked my gf acro s . Ended in bootloop and i did this.. It Worked.
try to charge with dock, it helped for me only acro s if it helped, please, hit thanks

Thanks,
I had a nasty problem, not charging with a new rom and not being able to fastboot etc, only a few seconds in recovery.
i searched my whole house for the acro-s dock, and plugged it in, then also plugged the usb on the phone to a pc usb port, don't know if that added some power, but this gave it enough power to instantly boot & charging... So now I can install a decent rom again.

Hello, try flash Kernel+Baseband. You probably lost that Kernel, if blackscreen all way long.
Whitefang
From all the phones I've used this usually happens when the battery is completely busted.
See if you can get your hands on another battery and try?
Good luck!!!
This happened twice for me.
Try leaving your phone in wall charger (not in PCs USB) for at least two hours and try again,
Hope that it will help.
Flash the Kernel and the Baseband

[Q]My Sola doesn't boot up or charge

Yesterday I flashed a custom ROM and the phone worked properly without any problems, Next day when I woke up the phone wasn't on so I figured it needs to be charged, But when I plug in the charger the LED gives the Orange light for a split second and that's it I don't even know if it's charging.
I tried to restart it with power button + volume up combination but still nothing,I left it plugged in for about 3 hours and still nothing.
I've read Posts describing the same problem and the guy got a replacement unit, I want to ask about the custom ROM I installed, would it void the warranty, I haven't unlocked the boot loader, I just rooted it and installed a recovery to flash the ROM, Would they even notice?
I just want to confirm if I had voided my warranty.
Thanks in advance!

The problem is Force shutdown doesn't work, I searched for a solution but it was no good, I found a thread with similar Problem but the guy got a replacement unit, So I thought I can get it fixed or replaced at the service center, But I'm worried about the warranty, You see, I flashed a custom ROM, So I don't know whether my warranty has been voided or not, If any one here has encountered such problem help would be much appreciated!
Here is the thread i am referring to, I have the exact same problem but this guys phone went completely dead, Mine is still giving me the LED Orange Light when I plug the charger, but for really just a split second, not even one second literally.
When I hold the power button nothing happens, and when I try to force shutdown nothing happens, no response at all.

I tried that too, when I got really desperate I just made up combinations and tried it to see if something might work, I can only guess that this is what they call a brick, right?
Anyway I sent the phone to the service center today, I don't know what's gonna happen, I just hope they fix it for me, I bought it just 2 weeks ago
I'll post the details about if it got fixed or not and what the problem was for future reference to this kind of problem
Thank you for your concern guys, I really appreciate it!

[Q] Xperia GO force CHARGE?

Hi! My XGO is not charging after flashing an incorrect kernel via CWM. After the flash, it stayed on (with black lit screen) until (i guess) the battery drained and now if I plug it into the charger that came with the phone, it just shows red led, then the led disappears after a couple of minutes. The phone cant enter flash or fast boot modes, cannot hard reset too.
I am just looking for a way to charge the phone's battery manuaaly i mean without the cables that came with it so I can find out if I can enter fast boot or flash mode or even turn the phone on.
Is it an option too remove the battery and charge it using a wall charger? Because the battery isn't charging at all.
Help!!!
anyone? pls?
First off the phone using hold the power+vol up button until vibrate 3 time then try to flash another kernel using fastboot or if you dont have enough battery dont do it....

+1 but if he cant charge his phone then if i was in his shoes i would go for the flash anyways its a 2 min prossess and if he leave it the battery will die anyways leaving him with a brick
hi thanks for the advice; however I cant flash any kernel or tft if I cant charge the phone. I cant do the hard reset too. The only indication from the phone is the red led (solid) that goes away after a couple of minutes. Any other advice?

I was able to remove and reconnect the battery as other threads have adviced, though I can try to change the battery, my location limits it. Ive tried searching for online stores to find a battery for XGO but none of my searches returned plausible results. So I guess my choice now is how to charge the battery forcibly. Thanks again.
