Problem with CWM Recovery after S-OFF

Hi,
I S-OFF ed my HTC Flyer succesfully today. But there seems to be something wrong on my device, as when I do a full backup of my device CWM cannot access my SD-Card.
Also when I try to install a custom .zip I cannot access the sdcard.
I noted that some new folders have been created on "/mnt/scard", called "ext_sd", with these subdirs:
- clockworkmod
- data
- LOST.dir
this is the only directory I can access using CWM.
Any idea about what went wrong?
Thanks!
Did actually put it on SD card not internal storage... ie you inserted a SD card into your flyer?
Cwm needs editing so we can access internal storage will have a look at it today.

Yes, I have a SD card in my flyer.
Ok, that's where my problems come from now. I also cannot install a custom .zip.
I tried to permanent root it using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193885
It says install went all fine, but SU is not installed, and cannot run apps that need a rooted device (like titanium backup).
--> Is there a way I can reinstall CWM now?
Should it work if I just put the sdcard out of the flyer and then reinstall CWM manually using the fastboot methode? (fastboot flash recovery cwm-4.0.1.4-flyer.img)?
Yes that would work for really flashing cwm then reflash the su zip

What I have done:
- removed SD Card
- rebooted into fastboot
- installed CWM without the SD Card in the Flyer
- rebooted
- deleted "/mnt/scard/ext_sd/ *.*"
The folder "/mnt/scard/ext_sd/" can't be deleted, all files in there have been.
How comes?
- rebooted into CWM
- flashed su.zip (went fine without errors)
- rebooted
--> Device is still not rooted!
Any idea?
I have reflashed CWM, but have still the same problems/symptoms.
--> CWM not able to access the SD-card.
Any idea?
I noticed also that when I try to do a Backup with CWM it says: "SD Card space free: 15262MB", which is not true, as this is the size of the SD Card. On the card there is only about 5 GB free.
When doing a full backup I get these messages:
Backing up data...
No /sdcard/.android_secure found. Skipping backup of applications on external storage.
Backup up cache...
No sd-ext found. Skipping backup of sd-ext.
Please help me to get this fixxed.

I know this was a problem with android_secure not being recognized correctly on the Evo 3D. I have a feeling that updates will eventually fix this. Also you don't have an sd-ext yet as of now it is not supported in ay roms for any new device.
Post in the correct thread next time... Q&A.

[Q] How to safely test MIUI and revert?

So MIUI is available and I want to try it.
But I will likely want to revert to my phone as it is now.
Right now, I am running 2.3.4, baseband I9100XXKI1, kernel 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKI4, build XWKI4. It is rooted, has Superuser and ClockWorkMod, no Root Manager. I have no physical SD card.
How do I get MIUI on to my phone?
What, if anything, will that process delete?
What should I backup and how to restore?
ie. If I do a backup in ClockworkMod, is that effectively backing up the whole phone or just the kernel and ROM? ie. Is restoring a ClockworkMod backup enough to restore the phone to its pre-MIUI state?
Install rom manager
Backup your current rom. It backs up everything
Download miui from the miui website. You can also download it directly from rom manager.
Boot into recovery using vol up, home and pwr button and flash the rom. You will have to reinstall rom manager in miui.
Play with miui
Restore your previous rom from rom manager.

Just make backup and if you don't like miui, then you just restore. And everything will be back as you had before miui. Don't forget to wipe data and cache before flashing miui. Clear Dalviks cache aswell!

I recall being told on this forum that ROM Manager doesn't work on this handset.
can I clarify...ROM Manager basically just invokes the clockwork mod recovery, right?
So a backup in this way would backup absolutely everything, including the contents of the internal sd card?

Where should I be placing the MIUI .zip? On /sdcard?
Similar question re: backup - does ClockworkMod backup include the contents of /sdcard? Or is that not included because, technically, that is regarded a physical SD card?

Only backup your system, app and setting. Don't backup all your data on sd card
You can copy zip file to sd, go to CWM recovery menu, wipe all then choose flash zip file from sd card

I think what he might be getting at is can he place the zip on the internal storage of the device, and flash it? As it seems he doesn't own a SD card.
Just a heads-up: I tested MIUI on Friday, after making a full Nandroid backup of my VR3.0 with CMW.
When I did a restore of my VR backup afterwards, a lot of apps were force-closing, and even fixing permissions or wiping cache and Dalvik cache did not help.
What did work was a flash of CM7, allowing it to boot once, and then restore VR again (with a full wipe of course). Everything is running fine again now. I suppose this has something to do with the CWM recovery version included in the kernels (my VR had a 4.x version, CM was 5.x).

Can't mount sd card in recovery?

I'm running icScrewed with the stock siyah kernel but when I try and get some cwm restore or backups going, it seems as if it can't mount /sdcard. Anyone know how to fix this?

Are you using the internal sdcard option? sometimes for me in flipflops I can use the normal sdcard option to access the internal sdcard and sometimes I have to use the internal sdcard options. I don't have an external card yet but over all I haven't had an issue mounting least the internal one in cwr.
me too
just flashed to ICScrewd and now I can't access my nandroid backups. CWM does read the contents of /sdcard when you selected "internal" sd but that's not useful for restoring nandroid backup....
edit: didn't see the "restore from internal sdcard".... duh

Lol same here! Thanks guys
You're not the only one I didn't see that option either. Took me some time to finally get there.

Backup my titanium backup?

I want to format my sd card to remove sd-ext. However, I want to keep my apps and data, how can I do this?
Could I do a rom backup with clockwork and copy the backup onto my computer the put it back on my phone after I format? Will that restore my apps and data?
I have a lot of apps.

[Q] Is it possible to restore my settings/apps using only backup of Internal Storage?

So somehow I've managed to lose my Clockworkmod Recovery backup files after having to format /data and /data/media.
I've still got a backup of the internal storage directory on my computer.
Any way I can use it to restore my settings and apps?

Well... From your description
Your CWM backup from internal storage is lost after formating, but you have backup of internal storage on computer.
Then check the backup on computer if there is a folder named "clockworkmod". If yes, then copy it to internal storage and restore it from CWM.
If you don't have that directory, then unfortunately your data looks like gone.
Press Thanks if helped.
