Good Morning Everyone,
I have a quick question. I am attempting to build my own ROM, simply using CM10.1 as a base right now. I am trying to use APEX launcher as my default, however, I want to use a custom theme with it. I want the theme to be automatically applied on first boot instead of having to apply it after installing the ROM. Does anyone know how to do this? Can I just copy the "res" and "assests" folders from the theme to the launcher .apk, or is there more to it? Thanks.

Hello Guys,
I am thinking about building a basic custom rom for personal use, i know that if i decompile a rom i will be able to go to system/app and find all of the roms apks there.
The default launcher for the rom is Launcher2.apk but i want ADW Launcher(free) do i simply delete launcher2 and add ADW so that it will load as the default launcher when i install the rom or is there a certain step that i am missing ?
Cheers

first up you can edit posts and tittles.
second what are you after if you mean a simple theme then you just have to change the images / layouts. otherwise it has to be hacked into the smali in the framework. (not an easy task)
Pvy.
haha im also using your team rom. is it alright if i change the files from your rom? and what files would i be changing to just change the lockscreen. im currently on the 4.0 rom. would i need to change the files from the 3.8 and 4.0. sorry about my noobishnes im pretty new to this

Hey armedking if you want the touchwiz ux icons on tw 4 launcher follow these instructions:
First you go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061883 and donwload the tw4 manager and install it.
Then you go to Check for updates & uninstall and to last stable version.
A popup will appear amd ask how to install it ift you are rooted choose system/app (This will let you uninstall apps from drawer).
It will install a new twlauncher with much more options and themes.
then you make a zip with the icons wich are named as PACKAGE name of the applications you want to skin.
Then you copy it to the INTERNAL SD card and hit menu in launcher
go to themes and them Install theme.
As next step you go to choose theme and choose your zip
At last you go back to launcher menu and hit restart and save.
I hope i can help you If I did tit the thanks button
Sorry for my english
Hello,
I currently use Jeally Beans custom rom.
On this rom and the stock one,
if I create a folder and add stuff into it, and copy that folder to home (the shortcut menu, i dont know the proper name of it)
the original folder and the shortcut is not syncing.
I found GO launcher does this, but not the rom i'm using right now.
GO launcher uses so much battery (I have seen %15-20)
So i dont want GO L.
Is there any way to solve this problem?
Its really sad that original android developers still did not include this in stock rom.

Hi guys :cyclops:
I am developing an custom rom ı have done everything i want
The last one, i dont know how to change nemus launcher theme before flashing rom.
i want to replace default theme with Miui x2 free one.
If its a premade theme than try changing build.prop to use it as default. Otherwise you may have to decompile the.apk and change what you need in there

First of all thank you for reply but i dont think that build.prop can handle this cuz its a launcher theme not cm7 theme.
I decompiled already but i dont know what to edit
I have edited needed files but i cant compile again.
Android Multi tool doesnt compile
