Anyone else receiving double notifications for Facebook, Instagram, and ESPN Score center. Ever since yester I've been receiving double notifications on almost every app that alerts me. I am 100% Stock unrooted.

Yeah, actually I have noticed that. Been getting it with Words with Friends the most.

I read it has something to do with Google Play Services that added the Google settings icon in the app drawer but I do not have that icon yet

I have it. It showed up yesterday.

I am experiencing it too. Glad I didn't factory reset.

I started getting it yesterday too. On both my Evo's. Mainly noticed it when Viggle awards me points for the shows I just watched, as I am using different Viggle accounts on each. One is on 4G LTE and the other is only on Wifi because it's the one I took off my plan. Neither my Asus Infinity or Asus Prime are getting double notifications though. Haven't done any reading about the cause yet though

Another quick question. Are you getting them both on 3G/LTE and Wifi. I was out and about today in 3G and I didn't receive one double notification. Now I'm back at home on WiFi and it is doing it again.

Not sure about 3G as I'm always in an LTE area, but as I stated in my previous post, I am getting them twice on both wifi and LTE

Skype

Hey all. I just tried Skype on my phone for the 2nd time today and was told that my image was green. The first time it was on the vzw network so i assumed there was a bandwidth issue however today I was on wifi.
Looking it up on Google it seems to be an issue with HTC phones on ICS and the Skype app. Has anyone found a fix for this or must we wait until JB?

That's odd. My skype is working 100% fine... I am on ViperLTE 1.0.0. Try deleting the data for the app. May be it is something with the latest OTA if you are on that.
Its supposedly an issue with HTC phones which would explain why yours works fine.

Is it possible the camera settings would affect color? Try setting your White Balance to compensate for the color temp of the lighting where you're located during the call. I suspect this might be the source of the problem.

When did this change? Last year when I was on business travel, I always would use Google voice when I didn't have service in my hotel room.
I just tried it, and it did not work on WiFi

Just more bullsh from HTC. First complaint I've ever made about this device. I'm Ann htc fan thru and thru. But that was really handy when I didn't have service.

Well, thanks for the heads up because I'm heading out on another business trip on Monday. I guess I will be downloading this app.

3g icon showing while on WiFi

So this is probably a dumb question but I have nevr had it happen before. My DNA the last couple days intermittently has been showing the 3g icon even while I'm connected to WiFi. I'm not sure but is that a bad thing or not?

If you send or receive a MMS while on WiFi your data will come on for a second or 2
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda app-developers app
Thank you. I honestly wasn't aware of that. And I was sending a panorama photo I had just taken around that time. Good to know.

I have the same thing happening but it's on 4G and 3G sometimes, usually it doesn't show any data transmission but just seems to stay on doing nothing for several minutes. Mine does stay on until I shut off my mobile network and when I turn the mobile network back on it stays off. With no text messages or anything going through.

MMS on an AOSP or CM based rom

Since the release of 4.2 I have had a lot of trouble getting it MMS to work I've heard some solutions and work arounds so if you have it working just list the Rom, what messaging app, kernel, and what settings in the messaging app you use
Thanks for the help

I had this problem and I just turned off "auto receive mms" off in the stock messaging app. After that you just have to click "download" in the stock messaging app. You can't download the message via 3rd party app I found out.
I am on cm10.1 and use the stock messaging app. With default settings. The only thing I do is set network to CDMA/evdo since I don't have lte yet. Always works for me.

same here for me i set to CDMA or i just go to somewhere where i have good signal. and also uncheck the auto download.
I've got lte and would like to keep it. I'm running nins latest and gosms solved the issue for me. I just use it once and that seems to kick start it

Is there a mms over wifi hack for Cm10.1?

I'm running a sense ROM... Its under settings>call>ddtm mode
Yeah, I looked at that in settings and it was not checked. I just did a light re-flash of this rom, and they're still going to VM.

It happened to me, but my issue was extra ordinary since I would get calls with aosp-based roms. I had to take it to sprint and they said it was due to signal handoff issue between towers.
