flash another rom, or the same rom again. use gs2romnuke before flashing and flash fresh rom without wipes
good luck
Try to flash with odin a stock rom. Does the usb port work? I'm sure that it's a soft problem

No one can just know what's wrong with your device. Post all battery screenshots as well as BBS screens (including wakelocks). Then, people could tell you the root of your problem.

my battery is empty and when i hook it on to the pc with the usb cable it gets the charging battery screen but when i turn it on in download mode it says low batt cant download.. so odin doesn't see my phone...
i have cleaned the usb port and plugged in the charger nothing happend for about 20 minutes and then the charging screen appeared but it doesn't "fill up" (charge)
anyone?

Guys.
I have been surfing all the forum to get a solution to my problem, and I couldn't find it.
Let me explain:
My X10i was working perfectly until about one week ago, at that moment I had DonutHD ROM installed, working great. I don't know why or how, the phone start to turn off (without turning on again) when the battery was at 75% charge.
My first thought was Battery Calibration... didn't worked, I tried several methods, from apps to wiping the stats on Xrecovery.
After that I came here to search for a solution, I found some options, like reinstalling the SW, did it, with Stock SE... didn't worked. Then I tried again to do the battery calibration... didn't worked.
I just want to get your opinion in my case, I'm starting to think that the problem is on the battery, but I'm not sure, since the phone stills shows 75% charge and turns off, I tried to drain all battery turning on the phone after the first incident, then full charge, then calibration, with no success.
Any other ideas???
By the way, I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-943626.html... will this work??
Thanks for you help.

I also have some problem with DonutHD. When the battery is below 30% turning on camera app will result in shutting down phone. However I'm able to turn it back on. Maybe it's just a matter of ROM. Try using other ones

Thanks stephenhiscock98, was thinking the same, but wanted to check with the community here.
I also have this problem on DonutHD.
I've tried two different batteries thinking that the batteries were faulty. The only pattern I can see is that it appears to occur mostly when charging while watching youtube, or listening to an internet stream. Not sure if its an overheating problem.

Try a different battery..
Just in case try this might work but im not sure coz i dont know whats wrong with your X10
1) Wipe everything clean on your phone and also on MMC (I prefer formatting MMC)
2) Then copy the ROM and flash it and also make sure proper kernel and WiFi modules are used

Thanks udupa82, I'm getting a new battery in this days to try it.
Anyways, I'll try what you are suggesting, hope it helps.
Today I tried to calibrate the battery via Xrecovery erasing the battery stats when fully charged, the phone booted up, and only showed 2% on battery, fully charged again, unplugged the cable, and when the battery got to 75% of charge, again it turned off. :crying:
the three terminals in the battery (the middle one is thermistor). put a thin good-electrical-conductor-poor-heat-conductor material on top of the thermister (e.g. graphite). so, ur phone does not think that battery is heating up, so it does not need to shut down to prevent explosion.

I'm not sure what you mean by Kernel as I'm new to androids, was an iOS user ..
How to check if apps are running without my knowledge?
Yes there are many apps I recenly got!
Get better battery stats from the play store, and let it run for a charge cycle.
Also turn off all the silly Samsung stuff like face awake etc etc
Does a reboot help?

a sign that some hungry app is churning away in the background, that's why I suggested bbs to help find the cause.
This kind of thing is nearly always a rogue process, just a matter of getting to know your new os and learning its ins and outs

Hi.
I had the same problem with one SGS3 from two I bought.
The one worked fine, but the second restart twice and more a day. I changed it in the shop. But the problem was still there. The akku was hot and after 2 hours without any input the akku was 0%.
I changed the phone the second time in the shop.
But also this device had the problems, sometimes the phone doesn't see the akku.
Then I had the idea, I looked into the device pressed the akku with my thumbnail and the akku worked.
With a little paper I fix the akku and everything is fine until today.

try flashing a diff kernel (may be Dorimanx v7.22) and then see for the issue
Hi, sorry for breaking in into other people's thread, but I've been getting terrible battery life and random crashes. I tried severeal different rom/kernel/baseband/android versions combinations and always had the phone dying on me. The weird part was that it only happened when the phone was not plugged in. When it was charging, this problem would not happen at all.
Well, after your post about the battery damage I checked mine and it indeed seems a little bigger than normal. Do you think its possible that a damaged battery could cause it?

Amazed the more experienced members who have replied to this thread thus far have missed the obvious & not suggested the OP install BetterBatteryStats. Something weird is causing that drain, I'm not understanding why you'd suggest someone go out & buy a new battery in the first instance when there's nothing outwardly physically wrong with the battery.
OP - Install BetterBatteryStats, have a look at the thread on here to get an idea of what kind of info/screenshots you need to post to that thread for someone there to help you out. Then do exactly that.

YW I'm not saying you'll definitely be able to track down what's causing the drain with BBS, but it's certainly worth a try before you fork out $ for a new battery (especially given your phone is still usable in the meantime). If you end up not being able to find anything with BBS, then you go buy a new battery.
I repalced my battery after one yeat
But I can say tham I am heavy user
The reson I replaced it it was give me a mad reading some times up some times down with no app causing battery drian
Tell my phone begin to shut down when using any app want cpu higher frequencies
So I get new one cause when keep it on charge and use it nothing occur
I suggest you to get a new battery
And charge it well before use
Then let him drop about 15
Then make full charge
And dont let him get down 40

Hello,
I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if you managed to know what was the problem? If so, how did you solve it?
I'm experiencing something similar, but after reading a lot of threads it seems that no one knows what is the problem.
For me it started after deleting the battery stats (I know it doesn't make sense) and reflashing a ROM ( I was using the ROM before without a problem). Oh well, let me know how it went for you.
Cheers.

You can install bbs and see what's eating battery. Gud luck.

The culprit could be anything you've changed on your phone, we have no idea. You'll have to track it down, as suggested above.

i've read some of the threads but their fault was from the emmc, i've checked mine and it has nothing to do with the SDS.

i got bbs installed on my device but as i mentioned firstly it's nothing there draining my battery. just the usual apps
So then you'll have to wipe and flash a full stock rom using odin, test before adding/restoring anything. If still the same then change the battery.
