which rom are you currently using? Scritch007's cm10 v9.3 with Kernel v20 seems to have the best battery performance for me. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012483

I'm on fera's jaf 2.3.7 rom. It cane with preinstalled kernel oveecloxked to 1.19Ghz but the thread said if u experience crashes and wlods( which I did) then flash different kernel . So I flashed v3.6 .

Question on Custom Kernel installation

Hey all, i need help installing a custom kernel. I dont quite understand what i need to do. Am running Wolfbreaks CM and under his post, there were instructions to install baseband 52 and patch before installing kernel. I am currently on baseband 54. Do i just flash the kernel or do i still have to install baseband 52 over my mod?
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
You should flash the correct baseband using flash tool. Then do an xrec backup. Flash the custom kernel you want to use using xrecovery and reboot. You can verify that you are running the custom kernel by going to the about phone section of settings. If you choose to revert to the stock kernel you can restore your previous backup using xrecovery

So flashtool is the only way to flash baseband? And i install the kernel via xrecovery like normal? Thanks.

You got it!

Thanks but i have another question. by the end of flashing custom kernel, i should be having baseband .52 with custom kernel and running wolfbreak's custom rom. Will there be any incompatibility? Cause i was having baseband probs an hour ago and just reflashed WB's rom. Will there be no problems? Or should i flash yet a new baseband after custom kernel installation? like .58 or .54?
EDIT2: Apparently i was having probs with direct update to v06..had to go with increments from v54 to be on the safe side..trying for the last time today to get that kernel on..
flash baseband with flashtool and custom kernel with xrec its easy bro

Ok here is a link that will explain what all of it is Roms, Kernels, Custom recovery...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=900905
Second is a link to all the links you will need sort of a how too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=901247 when installing a custom ROM i would go with either MIks CM7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946354 or Void .... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125870
anyways here is a link that will get you started just fallow the instructions to T it is not that hard and well worth it once you get to the part about installing the Rom you can pick your own or one one of the two i suggested above so here it is http://tablet-crunch.blogspot.com/2011/01/lg-optimus-t-rooting-recovery-rom.html
if you have any questions just ask i am not a expert but if i dont know the answer i can point you in the right direction
PS there is a video on that last link that will guide you thru as well
Happy reading!! Hahahahah

One more que bro is it necessary to flash ZRAM module also ?
Sent from my LG-P500
I do not recommend using the kernel franco in Stock ROM 2.2. There some lag when touching screen and frequent FC. The phone runs noticeably slower than that with the kernel adapted to the 2.2. In thread dedicated to the franco kernel was written, that it is not suitable for stock roms.
Better use this, it is stable.

(Help) Bootloop

Why stock if he using MIUI rom?
Sent from my MT15i using Tapatalk
i had this same bootloop problem about a month and a half ago, turned out i wasn't educated enough. Inteks kernel is not compatible with MIUI, that's why you're having a bootloop. Inteks kernel is for stock and SE.Tweaked, for MIUI use MIUI kernel.
for Neo, we must used kernel that given from custom ROM or we get boot loop.

[EXTRACTED] CM7.2 Stock [KERNEL]

> This is the STOCK CM7.2 Kernel Extracted from the latest Nightly 2012-08-19, (untouched, no additional modules)
> It's very useful to have a backup of the STOCK KERNEL after flashing and testing tons of KERNELS here on are section, some how you'll just want to revert back to stock BUT the only way is REFLASHING the WHOLE rom.
> Hope this HELPS :good: "Kampai!"

[Q] kernel flashing problem

Hey everyone,
I tried to flash amin kernel when I was on scritch 4.1 kernel, slimbean ROM by x10forevers...the flashing process went well and the log screen said that it had been flashed successfully. But when the phone started up, the kernel logo that came up was still scritch kernel...when I checked the settings>about phone, it said there that the kernel was indeed aminkernel and when I checked using setcpu, it showed the same, that I had aminkernel and I have access to all the speeds and governors of aminkernel..
But the boot logo is still that of scritch kernel. Is there something wrong, or is this a harmless bug?
Its fine its the same kernel think they both work together on two seperate ones but have roughly the same outcome
