Lost network connectivity and phone signal - HTC Rezound

I am on ecliptic rez v7. I just had this problem today where all of a sudden, I had no network connectivity and no phone signal at all. I had not messed with anything network wise for my phone. I tried restarting my phone, clearing cache and dalvik cache, turning the phone completely off and on, but nothing. I couldnt even get the option for network modes on my phone, it just had limited signal for emergency calls.
I ended up reflashing the same rom and its working back to normal, but I was wondering what could have possiblly caused this. I had this happen only 1 other time to my phone randomly, but it was on counterstrikes CM9 rom.
Has anyone had this happen to their phone?

Data stopped working, but I still see 3G/4G in notification bar

I did a search, but wasn't able to find any relevant threads. So if I missed something, please point me in the right direction.
My problem is that earlier this morning, my data ceased working. The notification bar shows 3G (sometimes even 4G), but I cannot get anything to load or refresh. The data arrows are indicating that while data can go "up", it isn't coming "down". I'm not sure what happened, as I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary when this happened. I've got a decent signal in terms of bars as well, at least 2 or 3. Even given that, the data connection does appear to drop and then come back a few seconds later, but the behavior is the same: no internet.
I am S-OFF, global radios I believe, and when this first happened I was running the "le n00b" CM9 kang (which I've been running since yesterday morning with only intermittent data drops and no other problems). After a while of no data, resetting the radios via airplane mode toggle, a reboot, full shut down and restart, I restored a nandroid of the sense-based Vigor360 ROM, which had never had any data issues, but the same behavior is happening. Notification bar shows a decent signal, 3G/4G, but no data. After that, I powered down and pulled the battery, sdcard & sim card, left them out for a minute, put it all back together, powered back up, but still no data.
tl;dr: notification bar shows 3G/4G and decent signal, but I'm getting absolutely no data.
I've confirmed with a co-worker who's also on Verizon that their data is working, so it doesn't seem to be tower/network related. Anyone seen anything like this before? If so, what's the prognosis?
UPDATE: I was in Vigor360 with no data, and kept digging around XDA's wonderful search function, and found someone with a similar issue (though nothing about 3G/4G being in the notification bar) and they updated their PRL via *228. I did that, data seemed to come back. So I took a chance and restored my "le n00b" CM9 nandroid, and so far I've got data! Editing this post using that connection right now! I'll update further if I drop data again or discover any new relevant info.
the *228 wont do anything for us now that we have 4g and the sim card updates the prl when there is a new one. that was the old way to force a prl on 3g only so i think that was only a coincidence that data came back.
you might have a bad sim card. what you can do to test is put it in wifi mode and surf the web. if that works then its not the radio.
thing you can try to do:
remove the sim card and boot the phone. wait for it to fully boot and it say there is no sim detected. turn of the phone and put your card back in. then boot into recovery and wipe dalvik cache and boot the phone like normal.

Perhaps, but that was the line of demarcation between data not working to it working. Plus, the data speed seemed even faster than normal for the respective signal strength. Either way, I'm just happy it's working.

Thanks - I'll keep this in mind if it happens again. I was able to use the internet normally on wifi.

[GT-P7500R (P4)] Tab 10.1 3G stopped working after airplane mode. (CM10.1 Nightly)

I updated to the latest nightly (9/22) to try and relieve this problem to no avail. I've been running CM Nightlies on my P4 since they've been available. I always manually download them since, for whatever reason, Rom Manager seems to detect my device as the P4-wifi. I assure you the 3G (HSPA) modem works. I have a SIM slot, with SIM that has activated service (UMTS/HSPA). My cell phone is on the same networks and it picks up signal from my carrier fine.
With that out of the way; My issue:
Two days ago, I was leaving my house to visit family, and I wasn't going to bring my charger for my Tab, so I put the device in airplane mode to conserve battery. In hindsight, I should have just asked the device to power off, but that's besides the point. When I tried turning off Airplane mode, the cellular network did not become available again; this situation has not changed since.
What I've done: Rebooted the device after switching out of airplane mode, re-entered airplane mode and left it again, updated to the latest CM. I've opened my tab and reseated the connections for SIM and antenna (at least, the connections I can reseat, I have), I've also completely disconnected power by unplugging the battery and reconnecting it. Additionally, I got into some of the hidden menus and verified that WCDMA, which, I believe is the underlying tech for the local HSPA connection, is preferred to the cell radio.
Looking at the device, if I ask it to check for mobile networks, the list comes back blank. The network status shows "UNKNOWN:0" and the lockscreen shows "NO SERVICE." instead of "NO SIM" (which is what it shows when I remove the SIM). From what I can tell the radio has shut off and will not come back on.
Throughout all this Wifi still works perfectly, so the device isn't useless, however, I'm planning to sell this device and I would like it to be as fully functional as possible when I hand it off to it's next owner, so getting this solved is very important to me. Any and all suggestions are appreciated and I'm basically willing to try anything at this point. I feel as though I've tried everything short of a factory reset, which I'm not sure if that would help (I've even wiped cache and dalvik).
In case it's relevant, I'm in Canada, carrier is Telus.
Thanks for reading.
EDIT: I've just finished restoring the device to Stock 4.0.4 (I've used this stock image before when I had issues with the device and confirmed it is fully functional) and I am still having trouble. this points to either a carrier issue or a hardware issue. I will be calling the carrier in the morning, despite believing that this isn't the case. any suggestions on what could be the problem are still welcome, I'm willing to try just about anything at this point.
@Mystik
Back in the CM 4.1.2 days on the e4gt...we had a similiar problem. Now, I don't have you're device. But when this problem arose in the epic. We had a work around where we would turn airplane mode on and power off the device. Then power the device back up. When that didn't work we had to flash a modem, then flash back to the one we wanted.
Also, make sure after you turn off airplane mode.. that the mobile data under settings/more is enabled... sometimes it will not re-enable itself.
Let me know if this works.. if not I would be happy to help you search up a fix..

[Q] No wifi

Hey guys
The wifi on my galaxy s3 just randomly stopped working. I was sick for a week and just left it in the car, and when i got it out, it kept turning it self off and wouldn't connect to the wifi. Instead of just not being able to connect, it cannot scan for wifi availability. It just turns off. Everything else works fine. I've restared and completly cleared the phone. I have no idea what is wrong with it, nor how to fix it. Any ideas or suggestions???
Flash full stock firmware and factory reset, if still the same then it's a hardware fault.

[Q] Z2 doesn't reconnect after losing signal

I got the Z2 and it wont reconnect to the network unless I factory reset the phone. Then its fine untill I lose the signal again.
I got the phone and updated to kitkat via pc companion, it failed midway through and couldn't do anything on my phone so I flashed it with a generic rom. Then the problem started and kept on staying so I decided that to download a different rom and all seemed well until I lost connection again.
It finds every network but mine, this is weird because when I factory reset it then it finds my network again.
also when I restart it then it connects to the network for a second and then the signal disappears again.
Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
I think this is software related as he phone showed that it had no signal but when I decided to call someone then the signal came back.
I lost signal again and had to factory reset, installed a network signal speed booster and I see that it restarts the phone's moden....Hopefully this helps.
D6503 model.

[Q] Completely lost my signal/radio. Advice anyone?

Out of nowhere my signal just disappeared. No bars. Just an x inside the area. I can't search for networks, find networks, choose networks. Nothing. I restart the phone, and it works for about a minute, then it's gone again. Strangest thing I've ever seen. I've toggled airplane mode, restarted the phone multiple times. I've reset network settings. I'm at a loss. Not rooted. Nothing out of the ordinary. About to hard reset and see what happens.
Any one have anything similar happen? Complete first for me since I've ever had a mobile phone.
And sure enough, a hard reset did the trick. Such a pain waiting on the restore. At least it wasn't something I had to send it back to Samsung.
