Hey all, I've been lurking around here for a while. I'm currently running CM 10.1 using the N4 conversion and I've been really happy with it. My only problem I've had is when I try to play A2DP bluetooth audio with something streaming over wifi, the wifi disconnects and switches over to LTE. Sometimes it reconnects quickly, others time not at all. Then it proceeds to disconnect and reconnect wifi constantly making it unusable.
I read that other N4 users with 4.2 were having this issue and it was supposed to be fixed in 4.2.2, which I'm running. I also had this problem with the korean 4.1 port. It worked fine on stock ICS.
Are other people having this problem? Should I try a different rom? I really need a jelly bean rom because I have some apps that I've made for business that use 4.1 features (expandable notifications).

I have tried both Froyo and CM ROM (2.2) and both are stable except for bluetooth. At least for mediasound. The headset connects fine, but after a while disconnects. Sometimes the telephone sound is still available, sometimes not. Can anyone recommend a custom ROM with stable bluetooth experience? What about the Gingerbread ROMs?
I've had the same problem, its annoying when you're driving and try to answer the phone, but all they can hear is your pocket
anyways, i used this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=947613 rom for a while, and haven't come across any problems with that one for a few weeks
I got the cm7 rc2 v009 rom now though, havent had any experience considering BT yet
my wifi or bluetooth disconnects all the time. I can only have one at a time :S

Same issue here, with all 2.2 and 2.3 roms Using BT with WiFi disabled works fine. Also Blade's WiFi fix makes things worse while it reconnects hung WiFi connections. Some radio\"driver" problem.
Hope to see a fix! Ill investigate it myself when I have some sparetime.
edit: Try the following mentioned by Wolfbreak;
Bluetooth issues:
1. Try this App [ http://www.foogod.com/android/ ]
2. Download APK and put on your SD Card
3. Install with a File Manager
Hi, I've recently switched from Leedroid (Gingerbread) to the KingCobra-ICS Rom and I'm experiencing some issues that somebody might have already came across.
When I have an app (like Tasker) change the "Mobile Data" status from on to off or vice versa, it works but the AOSP toggles in the Notification area remain unchainged, i.e they still say on/off after switching, although Mobile Data is now off/on. This does not happen for Wifi/GPS/BT. It's not that big of a deal but it's a little bit annoying. Any clues here?
The second thing is, that my Bluetooth Headset (Philips something...) is no longer found when scanning for BT devices (yes, it's discoverable). I can connect to it from my Galaxy Tab 8.9 with Galaxian Soup ICS Rom, though. Also, my EVO 3D still connects fine to my car stereo which advertises itself as a BT headset as well.
Any help would be highly appreciated
My phone has the JB update that was released to a few earlier this week. All is working very well so far, except for a Bluetooth issue I am having.
First, I have a Belkin CarAudio Connect in my truck and bluetooth works perfectly with this just like it did with ICS. I can use it for both phone calls and streaming audio without any problem. For this reason, I know that bluetooth is working on my phone after the JB update.
I also have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Uconnect 430N stereo system in it. With ICS, my phone worked flawlessly with this stereo. Now with JB, the phone does connect, but a few seconds after starting a phone call or staring a music stream via bluetooth, the audio drops and shortly after, the stereo no longer recognizes the phone. I have tried re-paring a couple of times without success. Since the bluetooth connection worked prior to the JB update, I assume this is a software issue with the JB update on the phone and not an issue with the stereo.
Any ideas/suggestions?
Tried a FDR? That's my only suggestion at this point.

I have the following problem with my S3. Most of the times I use my phone with Bluetooth. Since before rooting my device I had the same issue.
I get normal Bluetooth connection with my phone everything works great but when the phone and Bluetooth is disconnected they do not connect automatically. for example when the Bluetooth disconnects from my hands free due to distance when I get back close they don’t pair again.
At moment I am using:
Sotmax v14
Yank555 latest kernel
Baseband: XXELLA
I had the same issue with all stock Roms. When I used CM10.1 the Bluetooth worked as it should without any issue. In general all 4.2.1 roms work ok and the phone auto connects almost instantly.
I have tried many Hands frees (Plantronics, Samsung, and many others) the same thing happens every time.
I am also using an app Auto Bluetooth which is very useful for reserving battery when using Bluetooth hands free. Basically what the app does for those who do not know, it turns Bluetooth automatically on up on receiving a call and off when the call is ended. In my case when the Bluetooth is turned on it does not connect automatically with the phone
So my question is simple.. has anyone solved the problem?
I apologize for my poor English but I did my best. I also searched the forum but I did not find anything related.
Hello!
I'm very close to buying this phone (assuming availability...) but have one major concern: my current LG p880 has a serious issue of WiFi and Bluetooth conflict. This means that I cannot use them at the same time (e.g. stream music and listen through Bluetooth speakers).
My girlfriend's iPhone does this with no problem.
For those who already have the device: did you encounter any such problems?
Thanks!

Thread's a bit old but I'm having the problem he's trying to avoid.
When connected to my Sony SRS-BTX500 bluetooth speaker (is it really aptX capable because my phone says so but couldn't find info about it online) while streaming music over WiFi or surfing the net the music drops out for half a second and then plays again normally every now and then but the more serious problem is that sometimes I can't even surf the net while being connected to bluetooth because it simply isn't able to load the page.
It just happend to me minutes ago on facebook. I was surfing completely normal then decided to listen to music on the bluetooth speaker by streaming music from Spotify over WiFi and when I wanted to continue surfing facebook it couldn't load the next page.
After switching bluetooth off and reloading the page everything worked normal.
After reconnectiong both worked together but the sound droped out every now and then.
I'm on stock Sony firmware and ROM 17.1.A.2.55 bought in Germany.
Kind regards

That's interesting (and annoying). By now I have the phone (bought on eBay Germany) running the same firmware and I have no such problems. I stream music over Wifi, play it with a Bluetooth system and surf the web without delays or breaks in the music.
Maybe Spotify streams in a very high quality that you can reduce?
With my previous phone I partly solved the wifi/BT conflict with an app called Bluetooth Keepalive. It was working quite well. Maybe you could give it a try.
I already lowered the streaming quality of Spotify to normal because with extreme I didn't could think about surfing the net.
As far as I remember the WiFi even dropped out several times on extreme quality.
I just looked in the Playstore and I will sure as hell not pay money for an app which maybe solves a problem which shouldn't even exist in the first place and especially not on a high-end smartphone for 600€!
WiFi too slow when Bluetooth active. Sony Xperia z2
Hello, it has been a while since the last post here. I have a Sony Xperia z2 phone and I realized that the WiFi connection was too slow. I have also an iPad air and a Samsung galaxy 10.1 2014 that are connected to the same router and that were really fast. They were at 10Mbps while the phone was under 1 Mbps and very unstable. The tests I have done were made with ookla speed test. I tried restarting both the router and the phone but the prone was still there, so I tried to change battery settings and WiFi settings with all the possible mix. But the speed didn't went up. So I started killing some connections like NFC, GPS, but nothing changed, so when the moment arrived for testing turning off the Bluetooth connection, everything changed. The speed was over 6Mbps for the first time and after that test all the tests were over 5 Mbps.
Everything showed that the problem was the Bluetooth, but not being so easy to believe, I started one test and while the download test was showing speed over 6 Mbps, I turned on the Bluetooth and instantly the speed went under 1 Mbps.
With this experiment I have demonstrated myself that the problem was the Bluetooth connection.
I would want that this post change the focus of this problem and lead to a solution different than turning off the Bluetooth while using WiFi.
Thanks for your support...
I can confirm that turning Bluetooth on and off during a speed test definitely interferes with the connection. It slows or stops the test when you turn Bluetooth on or off. Interesting!
