[Q] Sense 3.0 Lockscreen: What about pattern unlock / pin unlock?

How does the pattern unlock or pin unlock work with Sense 3.0's lockscreen? I wasn't able to find any video on it or anything. Thanks for the help ahead of time!
~ Jake
EDIT: Although xda forums search gave no results, google eventually spit something up. I guess if anyone wants to know:

Yes. They did incorporate it and it works fine. Although I don't like the fact that if you have one set and get a text or something, it still shows on the actual lockscreen :/

Do you mean the indicator for number of messages? Or a popup? Have you tried turning off the "received notification" under settings?

screen timeout

hi,i was watching the football on my phone yesterday and had to keep touching the screen to stop it blacking out,is there any way to stop this as i seen in settings display only has 10 minutes timeout
If you are rooted and have KI4 , KI8 , or KJ3 firmware, you can use KJay Deluxe Settings v13.1 app to customise quick settings panel and add "screen on" toggle. The"screen on" can be set up to 3.5 hrs.

you can create a dedicated and customized button/widget for "screen always on" (among many other things) with the app "widgetsoid",put it on your homescreen and toggle it whenever you need it.
its free on the market and doesnt require root.

Go to app "Status Bar Options" and customise settings panel. Check the box for Screen On. Then option Set Screen On Toggle ....xx mins
Now pull your status bar down to reveal your horizontal buttons at top of screen. If you have to many buttons, just swype finger from right to left to show hidden buttons of the screen.
If you want to change order of buttons, or add / remove , use settings above to uncheck all, then check again in the order you wish them to appear left to right.
Edit: Sorry, forgot to mention to also check setting for "temp screen timeout".

Boot into CWM recovery and format cache, advanced and clear dalvik cache. Reboot and try again.
You are using KJ3, KI4 or KI8 ? Custom de-odex ROM ?
Edit: If you have any further troubles, maybe ask in KJay's thread.

Problem with "Screen Off and Lock"

I use the Screen Off and Lock app to turn off the screen without fumbling for the power button. For some reason it doesn't work properly on the S3 - it turns off the screen briefly but then the screen turns itself back on.
Does anyone know of a homescreen widget or app which will turn off the S3 screen?
I also install it, on my device its set the screen off, then it came back for a second and then off.

Yes, that's exactly what it's doing on mine now.
Unfortunately, it will only work properly if the lock screen security > none
Tested with Swype, face and pin. Obviously the screen security prevents it from staying off.

That's exactly how my settings are - the screen still switches itself on again momentarily after tapping then Screen Off and Lock app. I've now tried a couple of the other free "screen off" apps and widgets and they do exactly the same thing, so maybe there's some sort of issue with an API in the S3?

In the menu I posted, select "none", then it will screen off properly. The app (and others) obviously have issue with TW lockscreen with any setting other than "none".

Why not? Read my previous posts.
With lock set to "none", the app works properly, with any type of lock, the screen will flicker from off to lockscreen on.
This proves the app is not totally compatible with SGS3 TW lockscreen.

[Q] How to set or adjust SGS3 locksreen display time / timeout?

is there a regular option or a trick (no app) to adjust the time the S3 lockscreen keeps lit? i am on latest SGS3 stock rom 4.0.4 (no root) and the lockscreen shuts off after about 5 seconds - which is far too short for my liking.
thanks!
am i the only one having this issue? (sigh)
I think this is normal, why do you have to look your lockscreen more than 5 sec. Mine is like yours. Just pres home button after 4 sec and you will have 5 seconds more.

well, i know it's "normal" and no bug. but it annoys me and even more so that there's no option in this "super phone" that lets me adjust basic lock screen settings. i guess this is an oversight by the devs.
Try other lockscreen apps

I'm sure there is if you have a rooted device. This is just how android works, doesnt matter what company, what phone, what version of android. Been like this since the beginning.

Make your home screen smoother

Hi.
In G2 Tweaksbox go to Miscellaneous tweaks, enable LG Launcher Hidden Settings
then go to settings-->home screen-->Hidden settings and enable FEATURE_EASY_UI

Exactly what will that do and what are the downside. If it's just that easy it should be on by default. Lg decided it shouldn't so why?
This can also be done without root by using LauncherPro

Works perfectly. The "settings" menu is now "click - it shows up"
What I do to make my home screen smoother is to go into developer options, change window animation scale, transition animation scale and animation duration scale to .5x. Transitions between pages and swipes seems smoother overall.

Well. Try opening settings, see how much time passes till the settings are open.
Then try the stuff what this thread is about and try opening settings again. Profit
What kind of smooth it is? It's already smooth i think.
"Rub the lotion on the skin" smooth!

Can you tell me step-by-step how to do that ?!

Forst what does it do
Sure thing bro! @Master89. After installing launcher pro, go into widgets and find Activity.
Place it somewhere on your home screen and a long list will pop up.
Search for home.
Then search for something that ends with. HiddenMenuActivity.
Then open it up and find FEATURE_USE_EASY_UI
enjoy.
It feels snappier indeed - probably just placebo.

Working like a charm I personally checked FEATURE_USE_EASY_UI_ONLY_FOR_VZW ( Home -> *.HiddenMenuActivity- > FEATURE_USE_EASY_UI_ONLY_FOR_VZW ) that is right ?
