Hello! I was hoping someone out there could point me in the right direction. I'm trying to edit the text colors of the notification pull down. My method is this.
~I first decompile the twframework-res.apk and navigate to /res/layout/status_bar_expanded.xml and open it with notepad++
~I change all the values I want accordingly. #ff000000 for black and #ffffffff for white.
~After this I recompile the apk using apk manager. Compression 0 and heap size 512, Y system app, Y keep and then I go into the keep folder and delete the status_bar_expanded.xml I just edited. Then finish recompiling it and it goes through with zero errors.
~Then I push it to my phone and reboot. It goes Vibrant>TMO>Galaxy S logo>black screen and vibrating.
Is there another location where I'm suppose to edit these values as well? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Still having issues?
Values have to be edited in framework-res.apk also
if it cause it not to boot it sounds like the new xml didnt copy over and isnt in the recompiled apk. That happenes to me a few times

You may want to check LSMemo in the Android Market. It helps you add text to the lock screen
decompile framework, goto /res/values/strings the Cltr+F and find the string to edit !!!
For who make a CRT effect for ICS follow next steps:
1.Decompile framework-res.apk using wanam ApkManager
2.Edit the file \res\values\bools.xml
3.Find the line that says "(bool name="config_animateScreenLights">true</bool) and change "true" to "false"
4.Compile framework-res.apk
5.Push new framework-res.apk to your phone with root explorer or adb
6.Save,close and reboot.

but when i poweroff the screen don´t have any effects
How to edit the text appears on startup of an android application. Some application are modified and they show an message like apk is modded by ****. I want to edit that text.

Decompile using apk-tool. And edit accordingly.
After decompiling,
If its just simple image, editing PNG inside drawable folders should be sufficient.
If its text, you will have to find string inside res/values folder.

How do you get this to display when loading up the APK please?
Checked res folder and images but no luck yet.
Hello everyone.
There is a s6 weather widget make it for A300f . and I think it's works with all versions A3. As long as there have an app AccuweatherPhoneMass2014_amoled_qHD_LMR.apk on system/app
First thing take a simple backup for the old app by rename it and add in the last sentence " .old "
For example : Camera.apk To Camera.apk.old
So you can go back to your app at any time. Only scans added
1- download the app
2- add " .old " to your old app
3- put the new app in system/app/AccuweatherPhoneMass2014_amoled_qHD_LMR/ & set permission rw-r--r--
3- reboot your phone
For change lockscreen icon to S6 or S7 . Download whatever you want
And remove from it the name (S6/S7) let it be like this SystemUi.apk
Now put it in System/priv-app/SystemUI
And set permission rw-r--r--
Report your phone
Don't forget to get backup of your original SystemUI.apk

Hi.
First should your phone is rooted. And downloaded root explore to can go to to this path System/priv-app/SystemUI
And just press and hold on SystemUI.apk and cheese permition
