hi, i rooted my samsung galaxy s2 and installed clockworkmod and everything was fine...until i flash the ROM (GINGERMOD). I decided that ROM wasnt for me so i hold on the power button and went into recovery mode. Now my phone goes into recovery mode everything i rs it and i cant exit recovery mode because the HOME OR power button doesnt work. It seems clockworkmod is unreponsive to the buttoms and i cant exit it. when i do a hard boot, it goes back to recovery mode and does the same thing....WHAT do i do? thanks.
Try using volume button to navigate in CWM.
You also could try a usb jig to force it in download mode.

You can't go into download mode? Try taking out your battery, and then going into download mode with vol down + home´+ power button so you can flash stock ROM via Odin
Asked a stupid question which I worked out 2 minutes later, please ignore
Hello All,
I have been trying to boot my SG2 in Download mode but unfortunately it never boots.
I have tried every combination possible (up volume/down volume + home + On/Off )
but the phone wont be boot.
Appreciate your help.
But it boots up normally?
That's strange. Turn phone off, once off, hold Vol down + home + power and hold until a screen comes up warning you about installing custom firmwares.
If that doesn't work you may need a usb jig.

Right combination? (Volume up + down pressed and power button)
Try taking off the battery for ~5 minutes and insert it again then try the same combination above again.

Simply hold the button combination: power + home + volUp and the phone will restart in Recovery mode. Release just the power button as soon as the galaxy s2 logo appears but keep pressing home + VolUp

Hi everyone,
I flashed the newest ROM from cyanogenMod to my old galaxy s3. I did this with the phone still on. After flashing, the phone is stuck in a boot loop. The problem is that I have removed the power button completely because it was faulty(even from the board). Has anyone had the same problem, or has any ideas what to do?
Thanks

I never had the same problem but you can try to hold vol + and home to go in recovery mode, or vol - and home for download mode
I don't have a power button. What you're saying can be done if you press those buttons along with the power one.

buy a USB JIG is a device that automatically enter download mode
Short the power button connections, if you can get at them.
